Summary: Strength in Numbers
Review: Alexander Lo Rei stars as a young man trained by a runaway shaolin Monk in order to bring down a local bad man who is trying to take over the villiage. Along with a group of young acrobats, and some other fighters, they learn the chastity kung fu. Some of the most creative group styles you have seen on film, with Alexander lo Rei again showin off both his style and strength. Great film.

Summary: Iron Mike's favorite flick!
Review: First of all,the other reviewers don't know nothing about kung fu flicks. This video is from Robert Tai who directed sh@t like 5 Venoms and Golden Arms etc, so you know it's going to be good.Totally original concept of the Virgin kung fu style.I read that this flick is one of Iron Mike's top 3 films next to 1 Arm Boxer and 5 Venoms.This is all action.No b.s. plot lines and what not. And the Wu has they best music video on here with the killah Beez! Check it!

Summary: More bad news for Ground Zero
Review: I think it is great that new companies are attenpting to supply us with classic kung fu movies. Ground Zero actually has put out some great movies and I love them for it, but quality control must be an issue with them. Poor sound and defective DVD is what you get with this release. Aleaxander Lo Rei plays a man who must save villiage children from bandits after the bandits [attack]thier parents. The run to the hills where they meet a shaolin monk who teaches them Shaolin Chastity kung fu.Thats all I can tell you as my DVD skipped chapters and shut off on me which prompted a return to the store. Avoid the headaches and do not buy!

Summary: No where near Crouching Tiger. . .
Review: Okay, so other reviewers had problems with this DVD. I did too -- first, it wouldn't play on my playstation 2, but that was probably my fault. Then, the bonus fight scene wouldn't play. . . I got a message reading "Disk unreadable." And I didn't buy this used. Plus, Wu-Tang Clan's introduction seemed totally unrelated to the the movie or their own video (bundled extra on the disk). For example, they talk about the importance of chess boards, and the video seems to focus on how Wu-Tang's rappers can morph into swarms of killer bees. Jeez, even Elvira has enough talent to hype a cheesy movie. Wu-Tang Clan simply fails here. But other things plague this movie, which are probably beyond Wu-Tang's control. The fight scenes have the worst editing I've ever seen in a kung fu movie _so far_. For martial arts flicks, fight scenes should be fluid, not choppy, and bad editing just makes that worse. And why the word "chastity" in the title? While viewing the movie, I found myself wondering this. "Chastity" is in no part mentioned by the shaolin monks. Still, I found a way to justify the title. "Chastity" means "chaste". . .aka, "Virginity." After all, this movie is about children learning a special type of shaolin kung fu. Their parents were murdered by gangsters, and these young kids seek to avenge their loss. The children become killers, and as such, lose their innocence -- but only to repent their ways at the end by trying to become monks and nuns at a near by temple. I've seen enough Jet Li films to know I've watched better martial arts films than this. However, the price of this is cheap, and the plot is fresh enough (children exacting revenge). Buy this only if you collect kung fu movies.

Review: Shaolin Chastity Kung Fu Wow, this is a kung fu movie!!
(just remember this movie was produced in the early eighties, you, the viewer, are not going to get the same "flash" as a recent Jet Li movie nor computer enhanced fight scenes like in Crouching tiger hidden dragon) Reasons: Scenes: 1)Amazing bodily contortions and acrobatics! -Men and women standing on each others heads -Human formations, sometimes up to 20 people connected together in mid air by the few anchored on the ground. -women bending their bodies like pretzels and literally folding themselves in half! -it is not just the same few people doing all of the bodily movements, but 20 to 30 different people. 2) Fight scenes--Extremely brutal Some people get their heads torn off by a gigantic mallet (the same wepon seen durring the fight scene at the restaurant in Crouching tiger hidden dragon, being wielded by the two large fighters--the wepon looks like a giant maraca) A villain gets wrapped up in sheets and is then beaten to death by about thirty sticks being wielded by children!!! Blood pours all over the place (and the camera) as they strike him repeatedly all over the body. One man gets split in half by a villain, the two sections of his body flying in different directions If you, the reader, have ever seen a Kung Fu movie, you know when a character gets hit, that person usually spits up a little fake blood from their mouth, but, in this movie, it sprays!! Weapons: Spiked clubs, mallets, brass knuckles, one villain has chains attached to his legs, and more *************************** there are many more gruesome scenes throughout the movie, I do not want to spoil it by telling you all of them, but you get the general idea *************************** 3) Good training scenes Two Shaolin monks teach some children and adults of a nearby village Chastity Kung Fu, an extreme fighting style virtually unstoppable, to have revenge on the Nine Devil gang, who attacked and destroyed the village where the children lived. ---2) The Characters ***The villains The villains portaied in this movie are extremely violent, each having a special skill of either weapons, hand-to-hand combat, or extreme strength. They are known as the Nine devils and they use their weapons to create havoc all throughout the movie. ***The Good Guys Two Shaolin monks, a teacher--the old and wise type--, and his young student--the powerful fighter. Many young children, adolescents and a few adults: the people learn the Kung Fu style from the monks when they found out what the Nine Devil Gang did to their families and town. They perform amazing acrobatic feats and are all-around good Kung-fu fighters, but most of the major action is done by the older adolescent/adult ones. Sometimes they do flips like the ones seen in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. ********************************************************************************************************************************** Technical info: The Dubbing, 5 out of 5 stars: The dubbing for this movie was excellent, for all of the characters had different voices and they sounded very "crisp" and clear without any strong western accents, a quality that is partly the reason I gave this movie a rating of five stars for, in some movie dubs it sounds like there is only one man doing both the women and male voices, and sometimes a 16th century Shaolin monk has a "John Wayne" western accent, which really lowers the quality of a film. DVD layout: Not much to say, the menus and all of their sub-menues worked. There are a couple extra features on the DVD, like an extra fight scene from a different movie--it is about 5-8 minutes long--and a rap video by the Wu-Tang Clan (the people on the cover)--which I did not watch. ********************
One person gave this movie only one star for the reason that their DVD did not work, sometimes that happens, manufacutures make hunreds of thousands of DVDs, and sometimes one is "defective", but that is no reason to say the movie is bad, because they did not watch it, they just had a defective DVD

Summary: No Shortage of Fighting, and Easy to Follow
Review: The Wu-Tang clan really dug up a winner with this one. You are treated to their rambling social commentary and analysis before the movie too (I recommend skipping that part). The plot for this movie is pretty straightforward: nine bad guys move in to a village out in the middle of nowhere and kill all the adults. The kids (ranging from maybe 5 to 18) shack up with two Shaolin monks and learn Shaolin Chastity Kung Fu (according to the back of the box -- it was actually called something else in the movie, but I like this name better). If you guessed that revenge for the death of their village follows, you by be a psychotic, or telepathetic or something! The fight scenes are mostly well done. There is a LOT of acrobatic work! There is a little bit of wirework, most of these stunts look real. The villians are really cool too. Some are beefy like WWF wrestlers. One is kinda goofy looking at wears striped clothes (watch out for that guy). One even wears an eyepatch like a Chinese land pirate. The main bad guy is sort of an evil Erik Estrada, but very very tough. As a bonus, you get to see a guy's head punched off and another villiager gets thrown up in the air and then head butted in half!!! The movie is about 90 minutes long, and approximately 3 of that are dedicated to plot. The rest is fighting, or training scenes, which are full of kids basically being tortured and wailed on. The video quality is actually pretty good, especially compared to some old kung fu movies I have seen. This is really worth a watch!
