Rating: Summary: DON'T BE DECEIVED BY THE COVER ART !!! Review: A frightening cover art: a huge shark going for the kill. The victim: a helpless young woman in yellow bathing suit.. The only trouble is: this just happen in the movie. The so-called "sharks" are mid-sized, almost doesn't appear ( and when they do so, it`s a clear case of footage from another movie ). Casper Van Diem is in for his worst performance ever, the plot is a joke. that's why they needed to try to deceive the public in the cover art.
Rating: Summary: attack of the (totally fake and unconvincing) sharks Review: how many modern day jaws rip-offs do there need to be. Well! Okay this film i would rank lower than 2 stars if it wasn't for the fat that i liked sharks and i want to be a marine biologist. The other reason was i think Casper Van Dien is good actor with a good career ahead of him. But this movie stunk. In no ways does it compare to jaws nor even Deep Blue Sea. I hated almost every moment of it. If you want to see a good shark movie rent or buy Deep Blue Sea. Or better yet just stick to jaws its still the best after all these years. Don't be fooled this is a waste of time and effort. This film needs some coupe de grace some spice but it gets none. ....
Rating: Summary: Unbeliavable Review: How on Earth Casper Van Diem accept to shoot this film I will never know. IT's a joke, unfortunately not a good joke ... Special effects ? Forget it. Good acting ? THe actors seem to never have heard about it. A plot ? Nosense. What is this, can somebody tell me ? The so called "sharks" don't scare even a three-year old child !!
Rating: Summary: Incredible Action and Unbelievable Cinematography Review: I was extremely pleased with the many underlying plots in Shark Attack and the overall pacing of the movie. The navigation menu on the DVD is very cool with real underwater Shark Footage and a pounding musical intro. The DVD transfer is great which adds to the breathtaking beauty of the different locations in which Shark Attack was filmed. The characters Corinne, played by Jennifer McShane, and Mani, played by Tony Caprari, steal the show. Caprari's humoristic and courage filled performance makes his character a fun one to watch. You know Mani is game for anything and it is fun listening to his comic analysis of each situation that he and Casper Van Dien (Steven McKray) get into. Jennifer McShane's portrayal of Corrine DeSantis makes this DVD worth buying. Playing a research scientist who experiences an incredible tragedy, (I don't want to give away any of the story) she takes you through an amazing emotional thrill ride. The strength, intelligence and determination of her character as well the caring and inquisitive nature she plays in the movie are wonderful. Her striking beauty and athleticism demonstrated in Shark Attack only compliments her performance. If you like action, humor and films with a well thought out story and many underlying plot lines, you will definitely enjoy Shark Attack.
Rating: Summary: The writing is simply dumb. Review: In a story about biologists and biology, it would have been nice if the writers had had, say, a class in biology at the seventh or eighth grade level. One of the most hilarious scenes is when a "biologist" is looking at some cells under a microscope and can actually see a "hormone" inside the cells. Another truly funny scene is when we learn that if cell walls are punctured, that's metastasis, which implies that the cells have cancer. Ridiculous scenes like those ruined the movie. Why didn't the producer ask someone vaguely familiar with science to review the script?
Rating: Summary: no teeth to this one Review: Maybe I was just expecting something like Jaws but I didn't think this movie that great. I watched it twice now only because I kept falling asleep the first time. The script is very weak and thus so is the story, the acting is flat. Most of the shark sequences are in my opinion taken from existing documentaries (I have seen photographs of at least one scene), you can tell that they are cut into the movie and the parts that where done for the movie are very poorly done. Don't waste your money, if you want to watch it, rent it, don't buy it!
Rating: Summary: Shark(from some other footage) Attack Review: Shark Attack is an interesting tale of deceit and stolen shark footage. The movie features some computer harpooning police men and a crazy fisherman turned taxi driver. The most interesting part is all the shark footage... The best scene is after the bad guy/hotel owner is eaten, the shark clearly shown with a hook in it's mouth being pulled towards a boat. This of course has nothing at all to do with the plot. So where did this hook come from? It was probably I was trying to stab in my eyes to stop the pain of this movie.

Rating: Summary: This shark needs dentures. Review: The summer of 1975 and in particular, the release of the movie JAWS changed movie going forever. And how can you recapture that magic? Well, I don't know. Another group of people who don't know would be the creative(?) team behind SHARK ATTACK. This would be the first film in the shark attack genre that... uh...isn't about sharks or shark attacks. Sure, there are a couple attacks, but they are peripheral to the story (something to do with wealthy bad guys using sharks to empty a valuable strip of beachfront.) The film was done on a small budget and it shows. Ironically, some of the cinematography is luscious! They truly captured some magic in the Ocean in South Africa. With that and some interesting shark stock footage, makes the experience just short of bearable. The actors are either amateur or they phone in the performance. This film is driven by fistfights and verbal negotiation with an occasional shark fin in the background. The DVD has a full screen transfer to fit a regular television screen. Don't bother watching this on a widescreen. Better yet, don't bother watching this. Followed up by a slightly more exciting sequel...
