Summary: Good Movie but not a top 5 pick
Review: 10 tigers is an enjoyable film. If you're a Venom fan then you will be pleased to see the Poison Clan reunited in this movie. I thought the plot was good. An intricate tale of revenge and deception depicted through the use of many flashback sequences. Nevertheless, I thought the movie tended to drag a bit. While some of the fight scenes seemed like they were put in just to add needless action at certain points. However, the movie is still worth viewing. I would actually give the film 31/2 stars. With that said, I'm not upset that I purchased the movie because it does have some great fight sequences.

Review: A classic of Old School chop sockey action, this one needs no introduction-- and anyway the hopelessly intertwined plot threads would make a synopsis sort of redundant. If you're thinking of buying this one it's probably because you've already discovered Hong Kong and Shaw Brothers cinema, and possibly are even familiar with this gem. Personal synopsis: A good print (though sadly not letterboxed) of one of the Shaw Studio's all-time greats. Apart from the Venoms, it stars Shaw masters like Ti Lung and the late Alexander Fu Shing! 'Nuff said?

Summary: Shaw Brothers All Star Cast!
Review: Anti-Ch'ing revolutionary leader Chai Min Yu (Ku Feng) is being hunted down by Manchu General Liang (Wang Lung Wei). He is almost caught when a masked man rescues him from death and escapes with him. The masked man is Li Jen Chiao (Ti Lung) a loyal ex-Shaolin man and the owner of a pawn shop in town. Li Jen Chiao hides Chai Min Yu in the back of his pawn shop, and sends his younger brother Tan Ming (Fu Sheng) to seek the help of two other ex-Shaolin men who reside in the town, Wan Yi Ling (Sun Chien) and Su He Hu (Lu Feng). Tan Ming is temperamental and is ALWAYS getting into fights, and of course, he starts fighting with Wan Yi Ling and Su He Hu before he explains the reason for his visit. Luckily, Li Jen Chiao is able to explain the situation in time, and the two man gladly swear their allegiance. They are also joined by loyal Shaolin brothers Wang Yin Lin (Wei Pai) and Wang Chi Yin (Dick Wei).Li Jen Chiao has an enemy in town by the name of Mr. Chu. When Chu notices Shaolin men visiting Li Jen Chiao at all hours of the night, he becomes suspicious, and reports to General Liang. The General gives Mr. Chu funding to start a gymnasium in school headed by martial arts masters he has found: Beggar Su (Kuo Chui), Chu Yu Sheng (Chiang Sheng), Iron Fingers Chen (Lo Meng) and a noble and righteous kung fu strong man named Te Chao San (Ma Sze Peng). Since the men have already had encounters with Tan Ming, they have no problem going to start trouble with Li Jen Chiao, Tan Ming and their brothers. But when they nearly capture and confront the men, including Chai Min Yi, they soon learn that Li Jen Chiao and the others are good men. Chu makes up further lies and convinces his men that Chai Min Yi is a vicious criminal who has burned his house and raped and murdered his family. Enraged, Chu's men want to kill Chai Min Yi, but at the last moment the truth is revealed, and in the final showdown, General Liang is killed and Chai Min Yi is able to escape to the South. Years later, General Liang's son, as well as his former partner Tung Chi (Chu Ker), team up to try and take revenge not only on the two fighters who are still living, Beggar Su and Su He Hu, but they also aim to kill of all of the fighters' disciples and sons as well. One by one they begin killing them off, and it is up to the remaining men and their pupils to end the deadly feud once and for all....This film is a showcase of the finest Shaw Brothers actors ever to grace the screen, and the martial arts in this film is absolutely extraordinary because of these men. Though most of this film is told in "flashback", it is the final scenes at the end of the film, told in "present time" that really steal the show in an unusual representation of the excellent martial arts skills of some of the newer (at the time) Shaw actors such as Chien Hsiao Hao, Chu Ker and Lung Tien Hsia instead of simply highlighting the established superstars.This movie can be a bit confusing to new fans of Shaw Brothers films, as there are so many faces, kung fu styles and historical references to recognize, as well as two interlocking plots to figure out. The first time I viewed this film, I was a novice to Shaw Brothers movies and I was completely overwhelmed. Watching it now, however, I am delighted to see almost all of my favorite Shaw stars in one place, I love the historical value of the film, and the plot is easy to follow now that I can identify the principle characters. A film like this is one of its kind, watch it closely and cherish it, because you won't see its like again.

Summary: Entertaining
Review: This is another entertaining Chang Cheh hit. However, following the story can be difficult due to the many flashback sequences throughout the film. The usual Chang Cheh troupe is here with many unusual but exciting fight scenes. The most memorable one is probably between the fighter who "can use anything as a weapon" and the fighter who uses secret weapons. Most shocking and hilarious death scene: bad guy literally getting his head kicked off his body. No kidding.
