Rating: Summary: It was better than Twister. IMHO. Review: I seen Twister first in the threatres and then Tornado on TV. I must state that Twister had some romance(not enough), the characters seemed to me to be just reading a script to you. No feelings or emotion they seem flat and lifeless, the special effects were great but there was some scenes where the truck's windshield wasn't even BROKEN when the next scene it was. D'OH! Tornado has alot more romance than Twister did, the people seemed more realistic, and the threat of the Tornado was there and yet unpredictable to know when they show up which they are. The special effects were really kool and not too many scenes where there was anything wrong like a broken windshield of the stormchaser's red pickup truck in Twister. There was only about three to four tornados showing up in this movie and there was six or more tornados showing up in Twister. Twister you knew when they were going to show up even watching it the first time you knew when it was going to show up. In Tornado you never knew it was coming and that is how a real one acts. I recommend buying this movie first and then watching Twister second. You won't be sorry.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable film, L.Q. is best! Review: There were some flaws in this video, as some of the other interviewers have mentioned, but I enjoyed it. There were alot of parallels in the script to "Twister" and the acting was okay. For L.Q. Jones fans, it's a must. He got away from his tough, mean roles and did a great job as a sweet but wise grandpa in this film.
Rating: Summary: One Star For Ash Review: This "Twister" knock-off doesn't really offer much as everyone's favorite ghoul-killer plays it straight, chases storms, and seeks a little romance. It is great to watch Campbell in something other than a supporting role, but this is a TV cheapie. On the plus side is a strong supporting cast that includes Ernie Hudson (as Campbell's mentor). The DVD image is full-screen and nothing to write home about. There are no extras. So, I guess this one is for people who love Ash, couldn't watch "Twister" because of some dislike for Helen Hunt, or just buy anything with a special effect. Now when will "Atomic Twister" get released?

Rating: Summary: Beat Twister, but only carried out a sucker punch. Review: This movie was so horrible it wasn't even funny. A tornado goes through this town, and everyone is fine, all the houses are in pristine condition. The damage? Just a bunch of stuff put in the middle of the street in nice neat piles. NO trees damaged, no pavement ripped up, no houses damaged, no serious injuries. Sad.
The so called tornado scenes look like they were made with an Etche Sketch. The aftermath scenes were done with a dump truck and a bulldozer to make the piles of junk. The "damage" looks as if it all came out of the middle of a burned out Goodwill store.
The worst part to me though had to be the scene in which they are in the middle of a tornado? I've had a tornado go over my house. A tornado is not like a hurricane, where the eye is all calm. With all the debris that a tornado picks up you'd never even get close to the middle of one in the first place. You'd be picked up and thrown around before you're even close middle.
I think that the fact that they were able to communicate, and walk around was the biggest joke of all.
Rating: Summary: Interesting alternative to Twister Review: This TV movie was obviously a direct ripoff of Twister and aired on the Fox network mere days before Twister came to theaters. However, it was mildly entertaining, considering the tornadoes didn't make many appearances. Bruce Campbell and Ernie Hudson were decent in their roles. Personally, I would've preferred to have Campbell in Bill Paxton's role in Twister. Special effects (what you see of them) are okay.
