Summary: If David Lynch had directed "Dennis the Menace"...
Review: ...it would resemble this blackly funny, twisted little road movie. In some ways a deadpan parody of classic 70's "road" movies like "Scarecrow" or "Vanishing Point", this story of a (rather odd)pre-pubescent lad in search of his "collect all the letters and win the grand prize" American Dream will have cult-movie types chortling and chuckling all the way through. Great cameos, including an even more demented than usual Jack "Eraserhead" Nance. What struck me as particularly amusing is the fact that most of the adults who encounter our obviously underage (and by the and of the film, one-eyed and foul-mouthed) driver in the course of his journey don't even seem to take notice of these characteristics (with the exception of one not-so-bright state trooper). A real hoot.

Summary: Surreal Masterpiece
Review: 10-year old Gus (Jordan Christopher Michael) steals a car and travels across a bizarre Southwestern landscape, playing a road game called "Motorama." He encounters many eccentric characters, mostly nasty, and endures all sorts of abuse, growing gradually older until, at the end of his life.... Ignore the idiotic cover; oppressive heterosexism is refreshingly absent here.

Summary: Interesting style, cameos-o-plenty, great odd movie.
Review: A young boy leaves his rough home life and attempts to win the Motorama contest. He steals a car and collects game pieces at gas stations. His trek is dreamlike with odd characters and situations, some of which are a bit brutal. I liked the many cameos but you have to know your musicians to spot them all. Over all the film has a great look and an interesting soundtrack by Andy Summers (Police guitarist) and a twist at the end.

Review: Advice: NEVER see the movie "Motorama"...it is the worst movie ever! When it ended i was literally shouting "DONT TELL ME ITS GONNA END HERE!" it had no point...they never actually said if him getting thrown out the window was real or a dream...and someone please tell me WHAT THE POINT OF IT WAS!!! The end: (no joke) kid- "i like to listen to music" *camera zooms out* *credits*...the money they use is just paper with numbers on it, and they travel through this made-up country with weird made-up states...it makes no sense...the only cool part is that Meat Loaf is in it! although i did not know this until the credits...but hes awesome! the slogan for the movie is "theres only one way to win the girl of your dreams...floor it!" but the movie has nothing to do with a girl...they show that one girl for like 2 seconds, and it has nothing to do with the movie itself..The whole movie leads up to him winning the Motorama thing, but they dont actually say what happened...did he win it or not? did he get thrown out the window? was that just all a dream? did any of it actually happen? who would throw a kid out a window? that part with the horseshoes and the man leaving his kids in the woods was soo horrible! ahhhhh...well after watching the movie i have this one question: uh...what happened? Does anybody know?

Summary: Are you ready to become a man?
Review: I first saw this flick late night on Bravo while living in Nawlins. Mesmerized, and captivated. It was the hero's journey and more. The painful initiations into adulthood..the tatoos and insults the young endure on their heroic quest..be it whatever they have set. Have you been there, in those situations? My favorite sequence is the tunnel, passing by the horrors of middle class America. If you like this surreal journey, you'll love "Dead Man", similar quest and excellent sound score. The color, poetry and verse make this an exceptional flick. Enjoy!

Summary: BLOWN OUT!!!!! GREAT LATE NIGHT MOVIE!!
Review: I first saw this movie at like 3a.m. on a Saturday night three years ago, I was extremely tired but the storyline was so weird, that I had to continue watching it while forcing myself not to fall asleep. I soon realized that I was witnessing the most mind-boggling piece of film that I had ever seen! This kid makes a pedal extender, steals his parents' car, and takes off through the desert on a hypnotic journey that nobody will ever understand. Anybody who claims to understand this movie doesnt know what they're talking about. Whoever wrote this movie was a genius!! The weird characters, the strange scenery changes, the awesome soundtrack (written by Andy Summers), and the absolutely INSANE ending make for a real interesting experience. The scenery is beautiful, and complements the story so well. If you are not extremely open-minded, not willing to accept the fact that this movie is un-analyzable, or if you get easily angered by nonesense, please do not watch this movie. If you are intelligent, open-minded and love wacked out stories, either buy or rent this movie whenever you can......trust me, it's worth it!!!!A must see!!!

Summary: A little kid's joyride across the country to win a contest.
Review: I love this movie!!! It seemed a little sick and twisted the first time I saw it, but by the second time, I was laughing and quoting lines. My favorite line, "If you find any squirrels, GIVE 'em to me!" With surprise cameos by such icons as Meatloaf, makes this my favorite movie of all time! This movie is pure genius!

Summary: A kid from a broken home on a epic journey worth $500million
Review: I stopped counting the number of times i've watched Motorama after 56. It is the Godfather of all independent films, with it's vividly strange scenes. Put the $.79 bag of cheap popcorn in the microwave and get ready for a trip into the very heart of twisted bizarre insanity! The story of Motorama is pretty basic, a kid from a broken home steals a classic 1965 candy apple red mustang and goes on a quest to collect all the Motorama cards, you get Motorama game cards with every purchase of $5 worth of gasoline from any Chimera station. If you get all 8 of the letters that spell out "Motorama" you are elegible for the grand prize of $500million! With that kind of money Gus could leave his disgusting abusive parents behind and live the good life. Gus cashes in his pennies for gas money, steals a mustang and heads off in search of the illusive Motorama cards. Everything seems normal and your waiting for a state trooper to see this 10 year old driving an expensive classic car and take him to Juvenille Hall. But after gus washes his face in a little creek off the side of the road, you find that you along with Gus have taken one step too many, crossed into the world of the bizarre and there's no turning back baby! The twisted and dimented characters, along with the open landscape and dark shadows that mirror reality make Motorama a classic among independent movie fans. Gus is on a quest, an odyssey through the most exotic of imaginations, come hell or highwater he's gonna get those cards and you better just give him his space! I highly recommend this movie for anyone with a wild imagination and an open mind.

Summary: Bizarre film
Review: I'm not sure if this movie was supposed to have some deep meaning to it, but it was kewl anyways. The plot is fairly basic---young boy travels to different states to collect MOTORAMA cards. Then he gets beat up, loses his eye, and gets tattooed against his wishes. Poor Gus !! Jordan C. Michael is a likeable enough young actor; he doesn't display any real emotions tho. Bass player Flea from the Peppers has a quick cameo.
