Summary: entrapped
Review: this movie had wonderful and entertaining gadgets, yet it did not have much of a plot. Sean connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones had no chemistry.(probably because she's less than half his age) The ending is too hunky-dory, too easy. I do suggest renting this movie,if not only for the gadgets. This was definately not CZ-J's or Sean Connery's best performance. (look at mask of Zorro or a James Bond movie for Their best performances)

Review: this film is good were it keeps the audience attracted to it's events, actually I bought it because I think that Mr.. Connery is one of the best actors. there are allot of breath taking scenes in this movie, a try for creating a romantic story and a somehow this technological scenes. I think that this movie is good to watch if you do not have alternatives. but do not build hopes on it as I said it worthies to be watched.

Review: When this movie was originally released in theatres, I was warned not to see it on the big screen. I was told it was a bad movie, not worthy of watching. I didn't understand why so many people told me that; I mean the film has Sean Connery, contains a seemingly interesting plot, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. There was also a lot of discussion over the fact that Sean Connery was old enough to be Catherine Zeta-Jones' grandfather, yet he was playing her love interest. Luckily, I didn't see the movie in theatres and I am grateful for that.ENTRAPMENT starts off on the right foot. The film's early scenes are interesting and demand attention. However, about thirty minutes later, the movie takes an unexpected twist into territory it should not have entered: romantic entaglement with bad dialogue and no chemistry. Even though Sean Connery is pushing 75, he's still considered by many to be one of the sexiest men alive. Catherine Zeta-Jones is a beautiful young woman and attracts the eye of many men. Nevertheless, just because two people are physically attractive does not mean that there will be any chemistry between them. In this film the chemistry between Connery and Zeta-Jones is like the chemistry between the same sides of a magnet: instead of uniting, the two objects pull away from each other. Of course, it doesn't help that the movie is full of bad dialogue and many of the emotional scenes of Zeta-Jones are totally forced with no reality or logic to them at all. The screenwriters should have kept to the basics instead of relying on dazzling special effects to save the film. There are a few good action scenes, especially at the beginning. However, towards the end even those are so blown out of proportion that you begin wondering when the masked superhero will arrive that can match Connery's superhuman skills and foil his evil plans. Overall, ENTRAPMENT is a movie that had a lot of potential, but ending up getting entrapped by itself.

Summary: reminded me of the old Mission Impossible series.
Review: Fast action, nicely done updated high-tech version which reminded me of the old Mission Impossible shows. Another comparison that popped up in my mind was a relation to a 1964 flick called "Topkapi" whose plot consisted of a bunch of theives (albeit amatuers), that try to steal a jewel encrusted dagger from a sultan statue in an Instanbul museum. However, like others who have viewed Entrapment I found it necessary to use the "backspace" button several times throughout the movie,in order to put the plot together in my mind. Also, I wish they would have not breezed through the high tech computer Y2K heist using very fast takes. Still it is a recommended flick.

Review: It lacks the complex story needed to make it a very good movie, in fact the three stars go solely to Sean and Catherine for the acting performances which are quite good, you really want these two to make the theft work, even though the odds are placed against them. The ending is a surprise and you won;t be disapointed by it.

Summary: GREAT ACTION. However....
Review: Entrapment is one of the greatest action movies I have seen in a long while. It's really too bad that that's really all that it is. The countless suspenseful scenes, and pulse-quickening action is so plentiful, that this movie has very little actual plot. The plot that is there is shaky, and difficult to comprehend. Personally, it sounds like any other "world domination" story that is so oft repeated in Hollywood, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, the romantic subplot is far from romantic, and is very disjointed from the rest of the story. With the plot depth of an episode of The Flintstones, and the romance of an infomercial, this film is not really worth seeing unless you're craving a lot of action. (I must admit I WAS on the edge of my seat a few times.)

Summary: Entanglement
Review: A little more attention to detail would have helped this move considerably. A few examples: We are given more than ample reason early on in the movie to believe that Catherine Zeta-Jones' character is totally unafraid of heights, and yet a pivotal end scene sees her suddenly fearful of being up too high. Even ignoring the all-too-frequent action movie plot device of having the main female character responsible for screwing up the male character's plans by being fearful or foolish, this error highlights the problems that arise when scripts are written by committee. Later, the famous scene that finds Zeta-Jones wending her way through a series of lasers--meant to serve as burglar alarms--also finds her dragging her leg through one of the beams to no effect. Careless editing is probably to blame here. Also problematic in this scene is that the elaborate ploy concocted to steal an artifact by tunneling through a floor and then struggling through the laser-maze leaves this viewer wondering why the burglars didn't simply emerge through the floor immediately in front of the plundered object rather than all the way across the room, thus avoiding the lasers entirely. Had they done this, of course, the previous 45 minutes of the movie would be rendered pointless. All of these casual errors point to a movie made formulaically and somewhat casually, with more attention paid to effects and the stars' sex appeal than to feasability or plot. And while I find both Connery and Zeta-Jones as sexy as the next person, their appeal, even coupled with some fairly fantastic effects in the Malaysia-based scenes and a series of genuinely surprising plot twists (that did, however, leave one feeling they were invented sheerly for the sake of making the movie convoluted), could not keep me interested in the tangled and sagging plot for the length of the entire picture.

Summary: A bad imitation of the "Thomas Crown affair"
Review: Ok, so this movie is mildly entertaining. After all, Zeta-Jones' body clad in skin-tight garments is certainly a sight worth beholding. However, that's pretty much all this movie can sport: the story is weak and not very original (the "Thomas Crown affair" is the real thing and a much better movie overall) and the characters are not convinced about their roles (neither are we). It is not the worst movie I've ever seen but it could be better. Go for the other title (The "TC affair") if you haven't seen it already and enjoy!

Summary: I Like Sean Connery
Review: I liked Sean Connery in Goldfinger and Dr. Noah. I liked Mr. Connery in Indiana Jones. Now I like him in Entrapment. Entrapment has alot of action and suspence. At my school there are classes for kids that don't always want to go to college. It gives everyone a fair chance and so does this movie. Entrapment shows everyone how you can make alot of money without going to college if you apply your self to whatever career or thing to do that you choose. They are getting rich and living an exciting life that is never boring. Sean Connery is always smarter than his enemy and he always gets the girl. Even when he is old and grey. This movie was better than the James Bond movies I have seen lately.
