Rating: Summary: Great Message Review: I recently had a chance to watch this film on Pay Per View. Rich modern day gangsters intrigue me very much. This had so much of that. These were very wealthy young black men causing havoc in our society. The language and themes were very disturbing. The last five minutes of the movie was a turning point. It really put a perspective on the whole issue of gang violence. If you can bear the two hours of bad language, sex, and violence please do so, because the ending could change your life.
Rating: Summary: good cinematography, real actors Review: a lot of acting is just letting out your personality, which everyone in this movie did. It may be criminal minded, but the movie is REAL Soundtrack is nice too. A great movie for hip-hop heads who like the stars.
Rating: Summary: Big up massive to all rap fans Review: If you are a true fan of rap, you gotta check this out. It contains one of the phattest soundtracks your gonna hear for ages. The plot centres around how DMX and NAS make their money. Its got violence, its got swearing, it aint for the faint hearted. Fair play this film is safe. Peace.
Rating: Summary: Trash, Trash, Trash Review: Personally, I was offended by this movie. I only looked at about twenty minutes of it last night but that was more than enough, too much. What type of self respecting black people would make a movie like this. Im so tired of this gansta rap and thug mess. It is not black culture. It is criminal culture. I wish this stuff would stop being passed off as black culture. The next time one of these ghetto, shot em up movies come out, it should be protested, blasted. We shouldnt tolerate ourselves being portrayed in this way, it is offensive and degrading.
Rating: Summary: YIKES! Review: Have to say i love T-BOZ, DMX, NAS, METHOD MAN..but this movie was a joke .. badily made, written, acting.. Save your money.. Pick up the soundtrack instead ..
Rating: Summary: Awesome movie for Hype Williams Review: This is by far the best Hip-Hop movie out there. The acting is very good even though most of the rappers aren't normal actors. Overall, this movie gives the right dose of rap, violence, and real-life happenings. Worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Are you kidding me Review: This is the worst film depicting African Americans i have ever seen. What a waste of time. This film has no merit and the only thing i went away with in terms of this movie is watch your back when you sell drugs because out of state moron drug dealers will try to set you up. Horrible movie this is for black kids; and then making DMX look like Malcolm X at the end of the film, what was that, trying to make the preach look like Farrahkahn, what bullcrap. And worst Nas character talking to T-boz saying "let's leave here and go to Africa", yeah and do what? drive a 1999 Range Rover and sell drugs. This film is a big stupid rap video with no Merit.
Rating: Summary: a visually stunning first film for hype williams Review: Hype makes a spectacular transistion from the genre of filming amazing music videos to his own feature length film- belly... fusing hip-hop/r&b culture to this gritty street drama, the influences of music can be seen and add much emotional depth to the film. overall, spectacular...
Rating: Summary: It's the best hip hop moive out Review: This is the best movie out for hip hop rappers these days. You know how they really are in the real world. DMX has fine roll far as playin his normal life
