Summary: Alien meets Rambo!!
Review: Like "Alien" before it this film has a seven crew team that is hunted & eliminated, Arnold is great here as a leader of highly trained special forces unit, that get caught up in all kinds of mishaps (CIA double-crossings,unseen stalker) They are constantly watched by this unseen enemy, Jesse Ventura gives a memorable performance, Sonny Landham (48HRS.) gives a good performance as a tracker who senses the Predator & Carl Weathers gives a good performance as Arnold's advesary, but the best part in this film has to be the showdown between Arnold & the Predator, that starts off like a wresting match, the only movie that has Arnold getting his a** kicked, this was also directed by John McTiernan, a year before "Die Hard" , definately a man's movie, & probably one of Arnold's better movies.

Review: This movie has a GREAT plot and superb action sequences. This has to be one of Schwarzenegger's best movies. The scene when Arnold and the Predator fight is GREAT! I recommend this movie to si-fi fans.

Review: this is a classic adventure, sci-fi, thriller, whatever you wanna call it. you can feel the dread as each one of the group is taken out until one remains. and i think the music in this film really adds a lot to the tension and anxiety of the story. great film

Review: The predator in the movie is amazing. It builds up so much terror in its hunting hobbies and its pursuit to kill. John McTiernan does a brilliant job of building suspense throughout the movie which makes you love this movie.Predator contains a great plot with great characters and is a legendary action movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger acting in his peak. The special effects are also outstanding and they will never be out of date. This movie is a classic tense thriller and it deserves the credit which it receives. One of my best films so watch it and find out what you think.

Summary: Wonderful movie..bad dvd
Review: Ok so the dvd is not great and could use a sepcail edition later on because all you get here is a trailer for the movie but on the good side you get DTS sound!.
but you have a damn good action movie so i can live with the dvd being just ok.....
this movie kicked off a whole line of products, from many many comics (they just had a Justice league vs predator comic and a superman vs predator comic!) so that tells you how good this damn movie is. if your an Arnold fan or just a fan of action movies then do pick this up, or if you read the comics or played the many games but never seen this then you MUST watch it.

Summary: Pure Action
Review: This is one of Arnold's best action films. If consider yourself an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan you have to get this movie. I like this movie because it is everything you would except an action movie to be. The plot, Arnold and his squad of elite Army Commandos got to a remote South American jungle and think they are going to rescue South American officials captured by terrorists. The Predator has something different in mind. Arnold's team gets picked off one by one by this mysterious creature that seems to be hunting them. Predators are aliens that go to planets and hunt the species living there. The Predators have been coming to Earth for centuries, they are attracted to heat and will only hunt somthing that has a weapon. This is a classic action movie that you must see. A great action-packed suspense thriller that will keep you guessing and keep you on your toes. Also see the sequel: Predator 2

Summary: Schwarzenegger at his Action/Sci-Fi Best
Review: If you like action movies, if you like sci-fi movies, if you like Schwarzenegger movies, and if you love imitating his voice while quoting movie lines'this is one to own! So many memorable quotes, but my favorites'are Arnold talking to the Alien, 'Come on and kill me! Do it! What are you waiting for?!' and a wounded Governor Jessie 'The Body' Ventura, 'I ain't got time to bleed!' This film by director John McTiernan is a fun, fast-paced, action/sci-fi movie that gets better every time you see it.

Summary: The best Arnold movie ever!!!!
Review: Forget about Terminator and about the clones!!! If you are an Arnold fan this is the movie for you!!!! PREDATOR is the movie you should get. The supporting cast is well accomplished by Carl Weathers (Rocky series), Jesse Ventura (former wrestler and governor) and Bill Duke (American Gigolo) who works with the Dutch (Arnold S.) on retrieving some hostages, there they will meet their doom at the hands of some fierce alien, who hunts for pleasure, except for Arnold who will battle the alien to the death. The only problem with this DVD, is not the movie is the fact that we only have 1 extra: the trailer!!! I mean no interviews, no lost scenes or behind the scenes...nothing!!!! besides that the movie rocks for itself!!!

Review: High marks for the movie which I really like, but the quality of this DVD was poor! The DTS sound was awesome but the print used on this DVD was of very poor quality with nicks, scratches and hairs, dirt marks...it looked like it had not been cleaned. This I would expect from a Good Time video but not from Fox. The DVD opened with a spiel on how wonderful Fox videos are with fancy menus, extra features, etc. All this DVD offered was a still photo menu and a trailer. Very disappointing for a Fox video. I hope they'll re-release it with a good quality print and again with DTS.

Summary: Awesome sound!!!
Review: Okay, Predator is a great flick for guys of all ages. You've got action and adventure and science fiction and violence and guns and soldiers and military gizmo. Plus, you have a little bit of espionage and alien bad guy and, heck, even an easy-on-the-eyes heroine (ok, it's a minor role, but that's fine by me!). The plot is pretty easy to follow - a bunch of soldiers are sent on a rescue mission in the jungle, but they end up being hunted by some unknown and pretty powerful force. Hey, it's an alien vs. human movie! That's all the plot you need! And it's great fun, especially for Arnold fans. I would like to mention, though, that I bought the DTS version of this DVD. You CANNOT go wrong with this version! The sound is totally outrageously good, so superior to the Dolby Digital surround 5.1 track (also included on the DVD) it's laughable. This is not to say the DD5.1 track is bad, but rather that the DTS track is really THAT good! And given the number of gunfire sequences and explosions in this movie, your speakers will get a lovely workout. So if you want to buy this movie, by all means, get the DTS version and you will not be disappointed!
