Summary: Some amusing points
Review: First of all whats with this DVD including #1 and #3. What happened to the second movie. The best part of #3 is that apparently halfway through the movie changes who the bad guys are. I think the original script was used and after about 40 minutes the director realized there were only 2 pages of script left. So the last 1/2 of the movie was written and the 2 were badly stapled together - I mean come on whats with the voiceover at the

Summary: Almost as good as the second sequel
Review: I'd like to give this 3 1/2 stars because it's better than Substitute 4 but not the first sequel. The first movie is great by the way. Anyhow, this second sequel is one of the more far fetched sequels. First, there wouldn't be kids in college that act that way - it's more like a high school. Kids throwing things around the room, etc..(this just struck me as funny)

This movie has more gratuitous nudity scenes: The wet t-shirt contest, then a threesome by one of the bad guys in a warehouse! That was funny. The fight scenes in this movie are really good, though. The beginning fight was good, the pizza place battle was good, the classroom fight was funny, and the end battle was good too. The movie did take a turn in the middle, where the football team took a backburner to the drug dealers - but that was OK. If you like the second movie you'll like this one.

Summary: SUBSTITUTE 3 Review
Review: Second straight-to-video sequel to 1995's "The Substitute" has part-time mercenary, part-time substitute teacher Treat Williams taking over for a college professor who was brutally beaten by her juiced-up jock students. Williams and his new team of operatives are out to uncover a steroid scandal linking the university's football team to a local Mafia goon. Pretty good in a dumb Saturday afternoon movie type of way but the third act is more cheesy and full of holes then... well, Swiss cheese, I guess.

Summary: THIS ONE WASN'T AS GOOD
Review: THIS TIME, THE MERCENARY BECOMES A SUBSTITUTE AT A UNIVERSITY TO FIND OUT WHO KILLED HIS FRIEND. NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TWO, BUT IT'S STILL AN OK MOVIE. HAS SOME GOOD ACTION SEQUENCES, BUT THE PLOT ISN'T AS GOOD THIS TIME AROUND. TREAT WILLIAMS IS STILL A GOOD SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT AS KARL, THE MERCENARY. IT'S STILL A LOT BETTER THAN MOST DIRECT-TO-VIDEO ACTION MOVIES.

Summary: Substitute 3: Winner Takes All!!!!!!!
Review: Treat is back in action, and this time he's after a bunch of steroid injected jocks who are supplied by the mafia. He doesn't have to take on this job, but Williams' character just seems to be an all around do-gooder this time around. He's also on a college campus this time instead of a high school. It's nice to see him away from the gang banger environment and taking on the rich jocks and mafiosos. His war buddie's dying request is that Treat gives his medal to his daughter. Naturally this guy's daughter happens to be a teacher who gets beat up by these jocks, thus giving Williams another opportunity to play teacher. He brings another crew with him along the way, including a black samurai, a rough chick and a heavy guy in a Hawaiian shirt. More of the same classroom fun as Williams beats, shoots, kills and maims the student body. One amusing scene has him lecturing the class on the Vietman war as he's engaged in a fistfight with a huge football player. Another classic has him slitting a guy's throat with a pair of eyeglasses. Ah, yes, Treat Williams is becoming the Charles Bronson of the new millenium. Will he get to the bottom of this barrel of steroid clams? Will he jump in the sack with that cute teacher? Will his students survive his English literature class? Watch Substitute 3 to find out.
