Summary: THIS MOVIE WAS THE WORST
Review: This movie was the worst BRUCE LEE movie that I have ever seen. I know that he was only in 20 min. of it, but the use of a double (which was obvious) and in one scene what looked like a CARDBOARD CUTOUT, was just too much. The only thing that made the movie was the end.

Summary: Worth looking at for the last half an hour!
Review: This movie is probably Lee's worst work, maybe because he died mid way into making it. The use of stunt doubles didn't really work to well, but it's worth sitting through to see the last few fights. In a beautiful display of expert timing and sense of rhythm, Lee shows why he is the greatest fighter of all time.

Summary: Game off filmscenes used from other bruce movies
Review: I would like to agree on the subject to the final making off this film.Bruce is badly dubbled by an onknown actor, and as a fan for over 15 years i can tell that there are several scenes in the film that were "borrowed" from his other movie`s. There is one scene on the roof were he throws a dart to someone , this scene is from The Way of the Dragon .There are several other scenes from other bruce films , and thats a pitty. However you can tell only if your an regular viewer of bruce lee movie`s. And then there is the question off the "uncut' version with the fight with Dan Innosato , that scene is not availabble in europe versions. In search of this version which is only interesting for fans as i , it is difficult to buy the uncut version,so i own now 3 "cut" versions with a different cover!! And some time after the release of The game off death, there was The game off death 2 ! This was worse then ever , with look a like actors , you can tell it wasnt bruce from a distance. Still i`m a bruce fan , and i collect everething i can get , but i would like still to own the original version with the nunchaku fight ! Raymond Chow , the producer of this film and a close friend ,has to be desparate to cash in his money for this production. I have seen better movie`s from bruce !! Even some documentaries are better made , but in the end for fanatic fans its only the reel bruce that counts. F.Janssens The Netherlands

Summary: Should only be considered a "Bruce Lee" movie
Review: Bruce Lee in quotes, because he isnt in most of the movie. Since he died during the making of the film, a very unconvincing double plays his part through most of it. There is a fight scene right in the begining with Chuck Norris, as a teaser, but from there, you'd have to fast forward to see the real Bruce in action again.(almost to the end!) Finally, you will see a fight scene for each star I gave the movie, 2! Although it is interesting to see him fight Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, there is alot of bad movie to go through for just a little of true Bruce Lee. I would think the footage would be best in a documentary type film on Bruce Lee's work, and certainly more respectful than attempts to cash in on a legend!*rs* END

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS FILM (READ THIS)
Review: This film is an insult to everything Bruce Lee was. And they didn't even use all of the available fight footage. Instead, pick up "Bruce Lee - A Warrior's Journey". It contains all of the original fight footage Bruce shot, along with a VERY in depth documentary covering his whole life. If you are a Bruce Lee or kung fu fan, this is a must own. Cross my heart.

Summary: "Game Of Death" Review
Review: While billed as the "final film of Bruce Lee", it is important to note that this movie just splices footage from other Lee films in with both shots of a Lee double and the only actual material that Bruce recorded for the film, which clocks in at just over 20 minutes. The way that the filmmakers try to pass off a poor double as the real Bruce reminds one of the infamous Bela Lugosi "Plan 9 From Outer Space" curtain call. While the first hour or so of the movie is laughably bad, one of the big anti-climatic fights involving Bruce and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is worth every dime you put in. The jaw-dropping battle uses well-placed fight choreography as opposed to today's fancy camera tricks to make for one of the best martial arts fight routines captured on film. For those who want to know, the plot of the film surrounds a martial arts film star who fakes his death and returns to seek revenge on the mob. In a twisted sense of irony, Bruce's character is shot on a movie set with a gun that is filled with real bullets instead of blanks, the very same accident that would claim his son, Brandon, on the set of "The Crow", nearly twenty years later.

Summary: amazing movie
Review: it really pained me we lost Bruce lee. but this movie is great. Lee would of been proud if he could of finished it. I'm moved they put Lee's funeral shots in . very moving. goes to show that even though he's dead he's respected even in a movie he never got to finish. there are some laughs in this movie. the look alikes to Bruce Lee really do look like him. the fight scenes and choreography are amazing. see this movie if you have an open heart and mind. I will be viewing this more and more in ode to Lee and in ode to his talent as a kung fu teacher master, and actor and person in general. Lee or Bruce Lee will be remembered by his fans for all time. no matter how many years go by. his movies will always be enjoyed. glad I bought this on dvd

Summary: SHAME it has been EDITED in American way.
Review: WHY did American production CUT OFF all the POINT Bruce Lee was trying to make out of this film before he was murdered? I see NO RESPECT, nor HONOR for Bruce Lee in this film. CHEAP RUINED MOVIE....what a disgrace. At least Chinese people should have finished the film instead of Hollywood who made money off of it.

Summary: This is not bad....
Review: When this film first came out, I did not know that Bruce Lee was dead. I was born in 1972(July 22)and I of course assumed he was alive. I assumed that Alexander Fu Sheng was alive also. I always wondered why I did not see him anymore...

People like to put this film down. Of course it would have been better to work with Lee's origianl plan, but if they had not put this out, no one would have known about it and we would not have seen Lee's illest fights and the cool yellow suit.

They put together a decent film and mangaed to find excuses not to show the stand-in's face. Now people claim thatr the stand-in sucked, but I have to say that the stand in was nice. You can't deny the locker room fight. The stand-in had nice kicks and he was also in "Game of Death II." That was an ill movie also. Dare I say iller than this. They did good with what they had.

Now I would like to see someone put out all fulllength footage of Lee's interviews and making of films. As well as All footage of "The Game of Death." Then we could see the outside scenes and Lee in a funny brown 70's suit. If only he could have lived to make just two more films...

They should also take the original film and give it to Hollywood to reedit them, re-dub them and add redo the sound as new for DVD or something. THe man is not coming back so they should give the HK films the Hollywood treatment. Make it happen.
