Summary: WRONG ATTITUDE
Review: "Sniper" could have been a good movie, but because the lack of details like; You need equipment and supplies which results in heavy backpacks if your mission is lasting for some days or weeks. Your infiltration might have to be done by foot, and that demands a lot, especially in high snow wintertime. You get tired, wet and cold(in my area) from time to time. You might have to lay still, waiting for your target for several hours or days. Since details like that are kept away from the story, my experience is that the movie has resulted a lot of people signing up for selection without understanding the hard work it is. This results 90% "cowboys" signing up, and only 10% with the right qualities So it might be considered as good entertainment, but nothing else.

Summary: Outstand and accurate military flick.
Review: A facinating tale of a mission comprised of two snipers, a hardened veteran of the Jungles and a cocky , somewhat cynical young man who is out of his element in the jungle.
Definitely not for the squeamish for at at times it is very intense.
What makes this flick unique is that it has no love interests or any comedy relief that most war flicks find obigatory. Highly recommended for military movie fans.

Review: Billy Zane and Tom Berenger are great in this movie. SNIPER is my favorite movie and I never tire of watching it. It's the best war movie ever!

Review: From the first time I watched this movie, to when I was waiting for it to appear on DVD, I have treasured this movie. I remember when I knew that I wanted to join the military, but could not decide what to do. SNIPER answered that question for me, and soon I'll be shipping out to Marine Corps Boot Camp at San Diego. This movie is AAA #1, and if you don't think so than...oh well, you're only missing the best.

Review: I AM A RETIRED ARMY SNIPER SERVING TWO TOURS IN VIETNAM. WHEN THIS MOVIE CAME OUT I WAS CURIOUS AS TO WHAT WOULD BE DEPICTED ON FILM. SOME OF THE MOVIE WAS FAIRLY ACCURATE WHILE OTHER PARTS WERE PURE HOLLYWOOD NONSENSE. I THINK THE SELECTION OF TOM BERENGER WAS RIGHT-0N FOR THE PART OF BECKETT WHILE BILLY ZANE LEFT ALOT TO BE DESIRED. I WISH THE MOVIE HAD GONE MORE INTO THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE SNIPER TRADE SUCH AS ALLOWING FOR WIND, HEAT MIRAGES, AND MOVING TARGETS, ALONG WITH

THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE TARGET KNOBS ON THE SCOPE AS MANY PEOPLE SITTING IN THE THEATER DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT EXACTLY WAS GOING ON AT TIMES. I THOUGHT THE FIRST KILL IN THE MOVIE WHERE BECKETT SHOOTS CABRERO WHILE HIS SPOTTER GIVES HIM DIRECTION AND RANGE WAS PROBABLY THE MOST ACCURATE OF ALL THE SCENES IN THIS MOVIE. WHAT THEY ONLY TOUCH UPON IN THE MOVIE IS THE TERRIBLE FEEL YOU GET FROM THE FIRST TIME YOU TAKE A HUMAN BEINGS LIFE. SNIPER WORK IS SHOOTING PEOPLE WHEN THEY LEAST SUSPECT IT OR ARE NOT AT A COMBAT READY POSITION. WE WERE TAUGHT NOT TO LOOK AT THE EYES FOR THEY BURN INTO YOUR SOUL. HOWEVER A SNIPER WILL SAVE MANY MORE FRIENDLY LIVES THAN HE WILL EVER TAKE BECAUSE OF HIS DEADLINESS ON THE BATTLEFIELD. I ENCOURAGE ANY YOUNG MAN THINKING ABOUT JOINING THE MILITARY SNIPER RANKS TO ENLIST WITH THE ARMY OR USMC AND WORK HIS WAY INTO THE SNIPER COURSES THERE.

Review: I can honestly say that this is the most awful film that my backside has had the misfortune of having to sit through! The film drags on and on and on ................. It does not seem to go anywhere, they wonder around the jungle arguing throughout the whole film. One of them freaks out, god knows why? If you want to save yourself some money don't buy this!
