Summary: Steven Segal is Real!!!
Review: This movie was another movie by Steven that is totally different than all the rest of his movies. I have all of his movies and although some sections may cross the line "of the impossible", it is entertainment I find excellent. The thing about Steven Segal and his movies is he is a super high level black belt. Not just "I have a black belt", he is totally at the top of the field and also, he knows four languages. The man is brilliant and is sometimes critisized by media as they interview him and he shoots right over their head and they find it rude, but someone that smart is typically a bit eccentric in some form or other.........in my personal opinion, I do not see any bad side of him. I will continue to buy all his movies. Bob

Summary: Buy this movie to laugh at it only
Review: We have all seen the "tough guy" formula used before ,but never have I seen the image also carried off screen while they filmed here in valdez. Anyone asociated with the film here, either hates it,due to all the inacurate portrayals of Alaskan natives,or it's blatant misrepresentation of big oil as "the bad guy". I'm sure cashing in on a oil spill made sense ,but I am glad it didnt pay off. The acting by the lead was horrible ,only Caine and Chen made the movie halfway viewable. It is good for a laugh though.

Review: What's all about that big story or big issue's stuff? This is a Steven Seagal movie and the badguy's are getting a real tough time with him. Cinematography and music are much better than usual in an actioner. There explicit gore in it to. But if you dont like Seagal or want to talk about the background or motivation of the characters after the 100 minutes then leave it. Otherwise it's great(a bit mindles)fun.

Review: Without a doubt, On Deadly Ground is Steven Seagal's funniest movie to date. Of course, with his directorial debut, Seagal decided to make a movie completely about his political views. As a result, we find ourselves facing not only a bad action flick, but also a lecture about saving the environment at the end of the movie. Other memorable moments include the famous barfight scene where Seagal beats an oil worker beyond recognition, then poses the philosophical question, "What does it take to change the essence of a man?" After recieving the correct response of "time" from his adversary, Steven pats his new friend on the shoulder and moves on to the next scene. What did I learn from watching this movie? Explosions will extinguish fires, oil rigs would constantly be on fire if it weren't for a special device called a "preventer," and that Steven Seagal can actually make a movie that is funnier than Marked for Death using his own directing talent.
