Summary: Why is the studio not releasing this title?
Review: The Spy Who Loved Me ranks as one of the best Bond films ever made. Why is the studio not releasing this title? Roger Moore and Barbara Bach shine together, and Curt Jurgens is brilliant as the villain who wants to create a "new world under the sea". This should be at the top of anyone's personal Bond collection.

Summary: ROGER MOORE RETURNS IN ONE OF THE BEST BONDS YET!
Review: Roger Moore in his third role as British Secret Service Agent James Bond 007. This time, after completing a mission, killing a Russian spy on an icy slope. He meets a Russian spy, and the two fall in love. What she doesn't know is that James Bond was the one who killed her past love, on that icy slope. After falling in love, Bond battles the giant, steel toothed villain Jaws, played by Richard Kiel. This razzle dazzle Bond production is defunitaley one of the best, and I thurally enjoyed it. Bond returns with Jaws in, MOONRAKER.

Summary: Best of the Roger Moore "Bond films"
Review: This is the best one of the movies by Fleming that Roger Moore plays the part of 007. I think that Bond's diplomacy really shows the way he works with the Sub captain & crew to save the day and the girl too. Jaws is the one that "never dies," but I enjoy the new Bond films: "Goldeneye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies" the best. The new film, "The World is Not Enough" is sure to be a big hit!!

Summary: Will Anyone Do it Better?
Review: This a tremendously fun film. That is, if you overlook the plot holes. It's clear that both governments know that Stromberg is stealing the submarines. So launching missiles would backfire. The Russians and Americans would team up to blow up Atlantis. Also, why does Stromberg keep his prisoners alive? He could have men gun the crews down as they step out. Or he could walk them into a chamber and gas them all. No. He keeps them alive and then acts so shocked when Bond rescues them and they foil his evil scheme. Didn't see that one coming! He could have them all could killed but he insists on telling him is evil scheme so they could stop him. Surprise! I did enjoy the line when Bond goes "How much do you want to not fire the missiles?". This implies that Bond is getting tired of thwarting the bad guys. Why not just pay up? Then Stromberg replies "What? This is not extortion!". That would have been a more reliable plot. Extortion. I did enjoy Jaws. An entertaining Bond, but nothing more.

Summary: The Guy Who Loved "The Spy who Loved Me"
Review: It think "The Spy Who Loved Me" is great, for these reasons:

1) THE BOND GIRL. Major Anya Amasova is great Bond girl. Bond fans haven't seen a Bond girl this good since Tracy in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Both Anya and Tracy can not only keep up with Bond, but sometimes stay a step ahead.

2) THE CAR. The Lotus Esprit Submarine Car was the 70s' answer to the Aston Martin.

3) THE PRETITLE SEQUENCE. The pretitle sequence was how I like them: fun, intense, and relevant to the plot. It ends with an impressive ski jump and leads to . . .

4) THE SONG. "Nobody Does It Better" was nominated for the Best Song Academy Award, and for a good reason. It's a catchy tune that I loved.

5) THE WORLDWIDE ALARM. Nuclear missiles!!! Very cool toys for an insane, hateful man.

The movie loses some credibility because of Jaws Wile E. Coyote-like invulnerability. Come on! A freakin' building fell on him! Not even 007 could survive THAT! Save Jaws, the movie is great.

Summary: Not Such a Great Film
Review: I'm not a James Bond fan or a high strung action fan, but I did enjoy the first three Bond films of the series(Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Goldfinger). Many people say that The Spy Who Loved Me is the one of the best movies of the series. Which is probably true toward most Bond fans, action lovers that just like the movie for its gunfights, car chases, explosings, and off the wall violence, some movie critics. Personally, The Spy Who Loved Me was not an invigorating movie 1. The plot was very far-fetched 2. The acting isn't all that great 3. The film is little fast pace with few cliffhanging scenes. This movie is still better than some of its early and later movies, but to me after the success of Thunderball. The Bond series for most of its later movies have been box-office disappointments with very expensive budgets. James Bond as a character in the movies is dying, getting a little washed out, and sort of boring. If you haven't seen the latest James Bond movie, yet. I recommend you should not watch it, because outside of Pierce Bronsnan, Michelle Yeoh, and the BMW peformances. The movie was a total let down, but it made a truck-load of money at the box.

Summary: Very good!
Review: This third Roger Moore movie is one of the best in the series. After the underrated LIVE AND LET DIE and the box-office failure of THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN,THE SPY WHO LOVED ME saved the day.It delivers good action, romance, good locations, amazing gadgets and laughter.Roger Moore is excellent as 007,Barbara Bach is one of the sexiest Bond girls(as agent XXX) and Curt Jurgens is OK as the head baddie Stromberg . Richard Kiel, who plays Jaws, is a delight as the memorable henchman with steel teeth.Carly Simon`s NOBODY DOES IT BETTER is one of the best 007 theme songs. The entire soundtrack is good.A must for all Bond fans. You will not be dissapointed!
