Summary: Good Action and Fight scenes.
Review: I first saw this movie in theaters, and liked it. Watching it again, I recalled why I enjoyed this movie so much. You have some action, great fight scenes, and that little girl Vanessa stole the movie in my opinion. DMX plays Fait and his team Daria and Miles(Drag On and Gabrielle Union) steal some important black diamonds. Fait does not realize these diamonds will be more trouble then they are worth. These are not just some regular black diamonds; these diamonds are needed for a very dangerous weapon. The stones contain plutonium, and in the wrong hands can be very lethal. An international arms dealer named Ling is the man who wants the diamonds, and he will stop at nothing to get those gems back. When the Ling kidnap Fait's daughter Vanessa it's on!!! You don't mess with a fathers little angle. Vanessa was a fighter. Even though she was scared, she wanted to be set free, and she did what she had to do to gain that freedom. Screaming "I want my daddy", fighting her way out of the tape using the necklace her father gave her, and when she escaped and ran from the van. I really liked that little girl. She was smart and resourceful. She had me really rooting for her. Fait and Su team up to get Vanessa back, and to stop Ling.

That stunt Su (Jet Li) did descending from balcony to balcony was breath taking to me. It was a stunt that was never done before, and I liked it!! I liked how Jet Li did his fight scenes with one hand in his pocket. He really showed his versatility. I especially enjoyed the scene he did during that ultimate fight scene!!! That was awesome!!! I enjoyed how you had three simultaneous fight scenes towards the end of the movie. That was great!!! Anthony Anderson and Tom Arnold provide some comedy relief in the film. One of the scenes I find funny is when Tommy (Anthony Anderson) has to distract a guard who turns out to be gay. He did not want to do it, but it was the only way to keep the guard from seeing the break in. I thought Tom's part was not that much of a departure from the role he played in True Lies.

I can't help but wonder if Aaliyah had been alive would she had played the part Gabrielle Union played? I think this is a great action packed movie. I really enjoyed the movie, and DMX was pretty good in the film. One I will eventually add to my DVD collection.

Summary: Good
Review: It's a good movie, alltough it's nothing new.
I don't like the idea of the cop teaming up with the bad guy..
It's allmost like "Romeo must die" with the daughter being kidnapped and the circle of fire at the end where Jet Li takes on his oppenent.
But the action's good, Jet Li's proven he's a good fighter, especially at the illegal fightin scene, loved the way he kicked those fighters around.
It's has some good humor in it to..

Summary: The best Jet Li movie
Review: Jet Li is one of my favorite actors and martial artists. I prefer to watch his movies over Jackie chan's movies mainly because Jackie Chan films are funny while Jet Li films are more serious. Of all his american flicks (Lethal weapon 4, Romeo must Die, The One, Kiss of the Dragon), I think Cradle 2 the grave is his best work. I cannot understand why this movie has gotten do many bad reviews. What is so bad about it? This movie is slick, the action is intense, the plot is great, And it pits Jet Li against another Martial Artist-Mark Dacascos. Sure there are some unnecessary parts where Anthony Anderson and Tom Arnold try to be funny. However that should not spoil the movie for you. Anyway here is the plot.
A Thief name Tony Fait (DMX) and his team; Daria (Gabrielle Union), Tommy (Anothony Anderson), and Miles (Drag-On), go on a heist to steal some very rare and mysterious black diamonds. What they do not know is that these diamonds are not jewels, thier something much more powerful then that. What they did not count on was that afterv they stole the diamonds were stolen by some crime kingpin who they cannot indentifie. And if that is not enough, an international amsdealer named Ling (Mark Dacascos),who also wants his hands on the, diamonds kidnaps Fait's daughter Vanessa and will threaten to kill her unless he gets those black stones. Fait must then team up with a Taiwanese agent named Su (Jet Li) who also tracking the diamonds. Su wants the daimonds b/c he knows that the diamonds are not jewelry. The stones contain plutonium and can be used as very dangerous weapons when in the wrong hands. They both make deal, Su helps Fait get his daughter and Fait helps Su get the stones.
In conclusion, Cradle 2 The Grave was an awesome flick. Sure the plot seems a bit miscrued because there are so many people are after the diamonds, but the movie keeps you entertained enough to help you forget about that. I still do not see why people found this to be boring. There are many parts in this movie that glue you to your seat such as the scene where Jet Li was beating up all the fighters in the cage while the song "X gonna giv to ya" was playing. That part was awesome and so was that scene where Gabrielle Union was stripping. This is film that reccomend to anybody who is a jet Li fan or loves action movies.

Summary: A Solid Action Film
Review: "Cradle 2 the Grave" stars Jet Li and DMX as an odd couple duo who must get back a package of black diamonds from a rogue Taiwanese intelligence agent. DMX plays Fait, a master thief who undertakes a very high-paying job to steal some black diamonds from a very high security vault. Jet Li plays the Taiwanese intelligence agent Su who has to get them back.

At first Fait and Su are opponents after the diamonds. When they are taken by Ling (Mark Dacascos) they team up to retrieve them. Su wants the diamonds and Fait wants his daughter Vanessa (Paige Hurd) back. Ling has kidnapped her as leverage against Fait.

"Cradle 2 the Grave" also stars Anthony Anderson, Tom Arnold, Gabrielle Union, and Drag-On as Fait's assistants, willing and forced. They stage a raid on a deserted airfield where Ling is holding Fait's daughter and the diamonds.

As far as martial arts movies go, "Cradle 2 the Grave" isn't bad. Many of the fight scenes are too well choreographed though and far too Matrixy in the way the actors bodies seemingly mock gravity. I seriously doubt that Jet Li can throw a 200 pound man about 20 feet through the air. This movie also makes the horrendous mistake of having one guy fight about 15 other guys one at a time. Just once I'd like to see all 10 or 15 guys jump the hero at one time and see how he gets out of it. I know that if I were one of those 15 guys, I'd be looking to take a cheap shot while he's working over one of the other guys.

My only real problem with this film is the title. What exactly are they referring to when they call it "Cradle 2 the Grave". Ususally that term is reserved for discussions about Swedish social programs. At no time in this movie did Jet Li and DMX expound upon the benefits of an all-encompassing social safety net vis-a-vis the social benefits of a low-tax economic policy to foster long-term wealth production and distribution. Then again, the movie producers didn't even have enough time to spell out the word 'to'; so, I doubt they had the time to work such a policy discussion into the movie.

Summary: CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE
Review: Apart from the Kill Bill volume 1&2 and The Matrix 1&2 Hollywood make rubbish martial arts films.
This is no different than Exit Wounds or the equally dire Romeo Must Die. The fundamental problem is making hiphop themed martial arts films is a big mistake! In these films you have good old Anthony Anderson, Tom Arnold as crap comic relief, an oiled DMX and his stage school homeboys trying to act tough . Last but not least you have a bemused Jet Li on wires, thinking to himself ''silly westerners you have missed the point of martial arts''.
Still you do get major league honeys in this type of film!
