Summary: Worst that Titanic!
Review: I am embarrassed for having seen this purile piece of filth. Evidently this film (I'm using the term "film" loosely) was made for adolescents which makes it all the more frightening that filmakers would subject a youthful mind to the sort of nonsensical gibberish that is the plot of Spawn. If I were live my life like Mother Theresa for another thousand years, I could not repair the damage Spawn has done to my soul.

Summary: "WOH!"
Review: Amazing special F/X in this brilliant sci-fi/fantasy flick. In the style of BATMAN we have a glorified hero battling evil, but don't be confused as SPAWN is from hell, but he soon realises he must choose good. I can see this as being classed as a cult film.

Summary: Spawn with a little extra...
Review: I've to admit that I read the Spawn comicbook since the beginning and was expecting al lot of the comicbook in it. The movie is kinda not like the "original" story. However, if you look close you'll notice that some of the somicbook caracters are in the movie as well. You see Angela, Sam $ Twitch and some others. For the extras on the DVD... This is great. I'm not really into MM, but it's nice to see these things as an extra. Like the trailer, sketches. It isn't just the movie that you buy. It's more. Much more. Enjoy

Summary: What's the Difference?
Review: Ya know, I have seen both the PG-13 and R rated versions of this film, and I honestly could not tell the difference. Will somebody PLEASE tell me exactly how the two versions differ from each other! But anyway, the computer generated graphics were excellent, the soundtrack was dynamic, and the story was well written. However, Clown seemed like a pretty pointless and vulgar character to me.

Summary: Whoa what a DVD....
Review: Most Spawn fans would find the movie a little absurd because it's PG13 and there some big charecters missing like Chapel and Overkill but it's a great opportunity to see in flesh and blood (ehm all right maybe not flesh :)) But in this DVD there are very extraordinnary special features i think those are the best features ý've ever seen on a DVD. Like: 2 music videos (not to forget Marilyn Manson video but i might be warning you do not watch it if you have a bad heart or a feeble stomach...) First time seen original McFarlan sketches and many many more... This one is a must for a comics fan.

Summary: Hollow
Review: At first glance, this movie looks to be a special effects feast. In reality, that's all it is. Awesome effects, a good production design, excellent action sequnces and a humorous dialogue (Clown), are the only things keeping this one from falling thanks to a story that is vague, illogical and often makes no sense. Fans of the hit comic book will be disappointed.

Summary: Style over subtance
Review: Spectacular special effects, a spooky prduction design, and superb action sequences can't overcome a vague and confusing plot. Although watchable, you'll probably hate yourself the next day.

Summary: Well I liked it, so there!
Review: Geez, lighten up you guys! You all sound like trekkies debating TOS Vs. NextGen! This was a good movie, and I'll admit I didn't like it as much the first time, and I couldn't even tell you why. But I did buy the thing and enjoy it now. The commentary was revealing and lively, and the behind-the-scenes things (althought the same as the VHS) are good too. McFarlane is the most egotistical man on the planet, but ya gotta love him! This is no Tim Burton's Batman, but it'll do pig, it'll do. One thing I really didn't like was Martin Sheen's character, it blew. I've seen the animated one and he blew even more in that. I hope in Spawn 2 they have a real villain instead.

Summary: The animated one rules. . . this sucks!!
Review: I loved the animated version of spawn! It gets really into things, by bringing you 3, 2 and a half hour movies, which have as much blood, gore, nudity, and bad language as you want, because of the fact that it doesn't need to be rated "pg-13". This movie however, tried to cram the whole story of spawn into a 2 hour film. Now this just isn't possible. for The people who gave this film good reviews, you outta see the animated series. And as for the guy who was tripping on acid while watching the movie: Anything can "blow your mind" while your trippin'. So there!!!!!!!!

Summary: Spawn was a special effects masterpiece!
Review: I thought that Spawn was one of the best comic book-based movies of all time. The story starts out well with a scene that really grabs the audience's attention, then keeps their attention for the rest of the movie. They don't get too deep into the story of Spawn's origin, but they more than make up for it with the unbelieveable special effects.
