Review: I like this movie because it is very well made and authentic.I love the fight scenes and the acting.I practice ninjitsu like sho so i can understand a lot of the technical stuff.I also would like to recommend 'pray for death'.

Review: I saw this movie when I was a kid, that was before kids started doing all the stuff they saw on a TV screen. One of the BEST ninja movies ever! Though the ninja craze is porbably over now, when I think of that time I only have one picture in mind: Sho Kosugi pulling out his sword or meditating in full ninja gear, and throwing stars all over the place with such admirable precision. The guy is THE man!
I miss these movies, when you didn't have to think about how good the acting was. Actually, you didn't even know what the story was about, all you could think of was that final face-off. Good Stuff!

Review: I saw this movie when I was twelve years old ,as did my friends. I have to say I loved it. I remember I had to go to my aunts house to see it because we did'nt have a video we were all tranfixed, SHO KOSUGI made a big difference in all our childhoods, mine in particular. This film ,if the time and budget is taken into account is the best ninja film of its time.LONG LIVE SHO KOSUGI.

Review: If you only watch one ninja movie all year, this should be the one. It's flawless. The action never stops and the kid who plays Sho Kosugi's son is especially good. He's a kid ninja! There's also a granny ninja! And the two main ninjas engage in some of the best fight scenes ever staged. Add to this a campy sense of humor(one of the Mob enforcers is dressed like Tonto and fights with tomahawks that he pulls from under his vest,and some of the fight scenes involve short funny slapstick bits. And did I mention the granny ninja?) and you have a movie that gives you a tremendous Bang for your entertainment buck.I'm going to say that this is THE definitive ninja film of all time. This is the movie that firmly established the ninja film as a legitimate sub-genre in American film.

Review: If you were to look up the term "Guilty Pleasure" in the dictionary, Revenge of the Ninja is what you will find! I'm embarrassed to admit I saw this film three times in the theaters back in 1983. It's as good (and bad) as I remember. The film has something for everyone. A good ninja, a bad ninja, a hot babe, offensive stereotypical villains, and wall to wall action. Although the film takes place in Los Angeles, you'll laugh out loud when you see snow covered mountains in the background of several scenes! Sho Kosugi and real-life son Kane Kosugi provide most of the action, but the terrific Keith Vitali gets in a few licks as well. And the villains? How about a tomahawk wielding Indian man and a drug trafficking evil ninja? I love how the laws of physics are violated in nearly every scene. Leaping over brick walls in a single bound, tossing suriken stars like frisbees, and a crossbow-launched arrow drills itself into a concrete wall! This is all in good fun, of course. On the downside we get threadbare acting and a distracting music score, but those are minor quibbles for a really fun movie. The film's stunt coordinator plays the cowboy thug in the playground fight scene, and Kosugi's other real-life son has a cameo as the boy who is slain in the film's opening sequence. As for the DVD, the film is presented in full frame picture and mono sound, but still looks and sounds fine. Don't look for any extras, as there are none to be found. About four seconds of footage has been added to this DVD version - a quick shot of spewing blood at the film's conclusion. Other than that, this is the same good ole ninja flick we all remember. Hail Sho Kosugi!

Summary: Highly Recommend this!
Review: If you're looking for a ninja movie, this one holds the top spot in my estimation. I've seen just about everything ninja out there and this is the only one that I can truely say is a masterpeice. The climatic fight scene is just what every martial arts fan loves to see and its a keeper. Also look for "Enter the Ninja" and "Ninja III - the Domination" as two more good films you should consider.

Summary: There are no ninja, just ninja movies.
Review: Is this a 5 star movie. Of course not. Not compared to English patient, enemy at the gates. But as an American ninja movie it is. You cannot expect style, plot and substance to a low budget ninja film. It is just not going to happen. So going into this film with that in mind then you will probobly enjoy this. There is alot of action and alot of it is in the black gi and mask that just looks so cool. All the ninja goodies are here. Ninja-to, shuriken, cat's claws, blow gun, tetsu-bishi. The hero uses everything traditional and the villain alot of modern stuff. Made for some interesting ideas. Some of the film is just bad. Ninja grandma doing tumbling passes is a little much. And the half naked female student and sex scene did nothing for the story. Just a little sensationalism. For all it's flaws I still enjoy this film alot. The fight at the beginning of the film is my favorite. There are some excellent Japanese ninja films. But they are only being released very slowly over here.

Review: Man, I have been looking for this classic to come out on DVD since I got a DVD player! This is my favorite Martial Arts movie, period. This is THE movie that inspired the Ninja craze of the early and mid 80's. It made me buy Black belt magazine and order ninja suits and throwing stars, nunchakus, and the like. This movie has everything! It has, of course, ninjas and martial arts, betrayal, sex, drugs, violence, violence, and MORE VIOLENCE!!!! I hope it comes with a few extras or commentary.

Summary: Ninjas never had it so good....
Review: My friends and I think this movie is the funniest thing we've ever seen. Sure, it has non-stop ninja action, but everyone has failed to mention it's awful. There's plenty of sex and violence to make it interesting of course, and the acting is quite awful. We thought it was great though. Awful special effects, a plot that made no sense (did he ever get all of those little dolls back?), a bad ninja who wears a hypnotizing mask, three people playing over 50 ninjas, the village people, an indian, and two fat chinese guys. There's also a blonde who never wears clothes and a kid who apparently, is a Dodgers fan. We spent most of the movie inserting our own dialogue and making comments, similar to Mystery Science Theatre 3000, so it makes for a fun movie for a group of friends to sit down and watch together. Our favorite parts were when the kid gets hit by the door (you'll know it) and the awesomely-bad fight scenes. The guys liked the girl who didn't wear pants too, obviously. Will I own this movie? For sure. I suggest you just give in and buy it as well, your kids will thank you for preserving the 80's so well. It's so good, we saw it on Australian Showtime...that's impressive.
