Summary: The Boys And Girl Return
Review: LAPD Detectves/best buddies Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) return in LETHAL WEAPON 4. This time the duo takes on a Chinese group, known as the Triad, who want to use fake currency to win the freedom of prisioners and bring them to the United States. Motor mouth Leo Getz (Joe Peci), now a Private Investigator, returns for more comic relief. Riggs's main squeeze, Lorna Cole (Rene Russo) is back, but a bit more domesticated now, than really in the thick of the plot. New to the mix, is Lee Butters (Chris Rock) and a very cool adversary in "kick butt tough guy" Jet Li, in his first american film. Directed once again by Richard Donner, LW4 follows the formula of the other films, with action, comedy, and little character bits. Jet Li is the best "villan" in the series...period. He actually gives the two cops a run for the money and his moves are amazing. I must say that I had a bit more fun watching this one over LW3. Some have said that they were disappointed in the "family friendly" ending. However, I would say that after 3 films, it's good to see all the principals together in one place as a change of pace. Sure, some of the ending is "very TV", but it's not all that bad in its execution. The film is a fun actioner, plain and simple, and should be looked at in that context.

Of all the "Lethal" DVDs, this one has the most extra features, for viewers. There is a commentary track with Donner and 2 other producers The track offers behind the scenes info and stores. They even talk briefly about the other films. The deleted scenes are the same as those found on the "Director's Cut"s of the first three pictures. There's also about 10 minutes worth on the set footage from the film. The documentary "Pure Lethal", hosted by Glover, traces the entire series with antics from all 4 movies and runs just over 30 minutes. Lastly, there are the theatrical trailers, for each film in the series. Not a bad DVD at all that is recommended

Review: This is the 4th one in the series, and the characters have returned for more adventures. Lots of laughs, guffaws, and the standard stuff.

Summary: COMPLETELY GREAT MOVIE!!!
Review: Ok, so seeing that I am gonna be in the eighth grade you may not wanna listen to what i think of this movie, but you should because it's awesome! This was the first Lethal Weapon movie I saw, and I believe the best one. I thought it would be a stupid action flick--martial arts, chase scenes, cursing, etc (it has all of it but tons of comedy!). This movie is HILARIOUS! Joe Pecsi and Chris Rock's conversation about cell phones provides for the best part of the whole movie, though there are other really funny parts (mostly of Joe's character "Leo"). There is pretty heavy swearing, but it's in the comedy form.

If you dont know the plot, it is about two LAPD cops (Mel Gibson and Danny Glover). They cause heavy damage, and are promoted to Captain for insurance purposes. One night, they are on Murtaugh's (Glover) boat and are sunk by a boat carrying illegal Chinese immigrants. But when he brings a family home with him, it wreaks havoc. The men smuggling the people in are counterfeiting money, to get some of their people out of a jail. In order to get the plates of the money, they must bring this family to the U.S. to a man working for them. This, of course, is the family Murtaugh has. They burn his house, try to kill he, his family, Riggs (Gibson), & Rigg's pregnant girlfriend (Rene Russo). Of course they don't succeed and a chase goes into effect, leading to, well, you should know by now.
But along the way from the opening scene when Rigg's makes a comment about a guy being "a spokesman for the NRA?" there are GREAT lines and FUNNY scenes.
If you like laughing, you'll love it!

Summary: Murtaugh, Riggs, and Leo still crack me up!
Review: Of course Danny Glover and Mel Gibson do great in this film, but Joe Pasci was HILARIOUS!! And a lot of people will agree with me. I think Leo makes a great third-party in this movie.

If some of you dont agree(yes sometimes Leo can be annoying)

Summary: Deadly!!
Review: LETHAL WEAPON 4 is the fourth film in the very successful buddy-cop series. The original cop duo (Gibson, Glover) return along with some old and new friends. This film was supposedly the last of the action-packed cop series, although there have been rumors of yet another sequel; nothing is final. I really hope that this isn't the last chapter for the crime-fighting team. Focusing on LETHAL WEAPON 4, this is I think, by far the most entertaining LETHAL WEAPON ever made. This film is fast, fun, and completely hilarious. There's no question about it, LETHAL WEAPON 4 is deadly!! Don't miss what could be the finale for the legendary Riggs and Murtaugh.

Summary: We wanted it... We Got It!!!
Review: Lethal Weapon 4 may not be the gritty hardcore film the first one was. It may not be as cynical and funny as the second. Or as more involved as the third. But it does rank up there as one of the finest to add in the series.
What a great welcome into American film for Jet-Li, whose stunt sequences were nothing short of spectacular. It was also good to see Kim Chan in there as well. Chris Rock, the new funnyman, had his "floor-to-cop" routine down-packed. All in all, well done.

In fact, had it not been for the flaws (the under-usage of Chris Rock, and the segments with Mel Gibson's obvious stunt double) the film as a whole would've been great!

As far as the DVD, we get so many features on the double-sided DVD, it took me two weeks to watch them all! From bonus trailers, to bonus scenes, to Pure Lethal, this DVD has earned all of my five stars.

Summary: JET LI IS THE LETHAL WEAPON!
Review: ...The action scenes in this movie are ridiculous and really cool. Especially the introduction of Jet Li in his explosive debut. He has a few lines of dialogue but steals the show and literally makes this movie worth seeing. Although the end fight is kind of stupid in that Jet Li could easily put Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in a hospital and not even break a sweat. But in the end it is a funny, entertaining action movie which does deliver.

Summary: You'll laugh but that's about it
Review: The Lethal Weapon movies have all offered their share of action, drama and comedy, Part 4 however is high in comedy but low in everything else. Riggs and Mortar just come off as complete bafoons this time around. In the other films it has been obvious that Riggs has a thing for the 3 Stooges it's very obvious this time because he never lets up, don't think their is one scene where he acts serious. I've always enjoyed seeing Riggs and Mortar beating the bad guys but this time for some reason I enjoyed seeing Jet Li kicking their butts around... Plus the only drama it actually offers is Joe Pesci talking about his dead frog named ....froggy that he accidently ran over with his bike. It's obvious that this one was just made in the sake of just making another one. Mel's so not in the part that he doesn't have the long hair this time around either and what is Riggs without the hair ? A wimp actually.
