Rating: Summary: Overrated trash. Review: How on Earth can anyone like this garbage? It makes sense how our society of kids enjoy trash like this. Bruce Campbell couldn't act his way outta a paper bag. SKIP THIS ONE!
Rating: Summary: the best Review: Without a doubt this is the best in the evil dead series.Plenty of laughs and thrills to keep being entertained throughout the flick.
Rating: Summary: THE PERFECT SEQUEL TO EVIL DEAD 2 Review: The finale of the Evil Dead Trilogy, Army of Darkness builds on the comedy/horror combo that worked perfectly in Evil Dead 2. The special effects, although showing the signs of a higher budget, don't take away from the Evil Dead atmosphere at all. In fact, it seems as if the special effects and creepy atmosphere are used just to set up Bruce Campbell for one wicked one-liner after another. I mean, some movies have over-the-top dialogue, but Army of Darkness takes it to the point where the whole movie is spent waiting (with smiles aplenty) for the next awesome one-liner. Sam Raimi and Bruce have really made this type of cinema into an art. As with Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness is extremely exciting, and whenever the action slows down, the one-liners are fired off faster than ever. The movie's musical score, especially Danny Elfman's March of the Dead Theme, is one that you will continue humming days after you watch the movie. The perfect ending to the most amazing trilogy ever filmed (Star Wars was never this entertaining)!
Rating: Summary: Funny, rediculous and cheesy. Review: The hilarious horror of the first two Evil Dead films is missing in this third instalment. That's OK, though, because the lack of horror has allowed Sam Raimi to develop the "cheesiness verses evil/sexy fantasy world" seen later in his glorious Xena and Hercules series. Like Laurel and Hardy, it's hard to tell whether Army of Darkness is under-played or over-played - strange, not Hollywood, and all the better for it. Well done, Sam - I liked your new movie "A Simple Plan" too.
Rating: Summary: The best Review: Better than it's predessors, this movie is hilarious and freaky at the same time. It's off the wall humor is it's best quality.
Rating: Summary: COMEDY!!! GOTTA' LOVE IT Review: The third installment in the Evil Dead series is the funniest by far. It may very well be one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Sam Raimi brings back Ash ( with another girlfriend at the beginning: none other than Bridget Fonda ) this time fighting deadites in the days of old. Chock full of witty jokes and actual FUNNY one liners make this an incredible viewing privelage. THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK!!!!!!!!!!! HAIL TO THE KING BABY!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Good, bad...I'm the guy with the gun! Review: This is my absolute favorite movie of all time! The third in the Evil Dead series, Ash is at his demon-fighting best! When you're caught in the dark ages of Europe, what more could you want than a sawed-off, a chainsaw fitted to your hand, and a '73 Oldsmobile hyped up into a deathcoaster?! Buy this movie or I'll SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!
Rating: Summary: This film is among the best films ever made Review: Disregard any foul reviews to this movie. It, along with Evil Dead 2, is the cleverest, funniest, horror spoof with the greatest ending in the history. I laughed my ass of. This is is a must see for movie-goers and film students.
Rating: Summary: THIS MOVIES RULES! Review: This is better then both 1-2.The Special Effects are so groovy,Bruce Campbell have done some cool action -scenes.And I like the shoutguns seen verry much.ARMY OF DARKNESS Rules!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: More of a comedy, but funny as hell. Review: "This... is my BOOM stick!" One of the many hilarious lines that Bruce Campbell says in this film, which is more of a comedy than a horror film, but the humor, action, and an amazingly improved performance from the main man, Bruce Campbell, make "Army of Darkness" the best film in the "Evil Dead" series. The film was directed by wizard Sam Raimi, and co-written by Sam and his brother Ivan. I loved this film because it finally gave Bruce Campbell the attitude that he appeared to be missing in the last two films. The film is also very accurate in Ash's assumption that the "primitives" around him in the mid-evil times he has been transported to, could never understand "alloys or things with molecular structures." The best thing about this film, other than the terrific brand of humor, is the action. The film is full of it--from turning Ash's beat-up Oldsmobile into a super-chopper to making arrows into old-fashioned bullets with a splash of gun powder. This movie is infinitely clever and exciting, as well as being extraordinarily entertaining. I recommend it to everyone.
