Rating: Summary: Interstate 60: Intelligent Fantasy Review: "Interstate 60" is an intelligently well-written fantasy involving theories of time and perspective. The attractive cast is: James Marsden,Amy Smart,Christopher Lloyd,Gary Oldman,Kurt Russell,Ann-Margret,Michael J.Fox,Amy Jo Johnson and Chris Cooper. It is a mixture of mystery, adventure, romance, comedy, science fiction and satire. This movie is similiar to "Back to the Future" & is by the co-writer of the "Back to the Future" trilogy. A 22 yr.old artist is granted one wish on his birthday of which he wishes for the answers. His payment for the granted wish is to deliver a mysterious package to an unknown person on an interstate that isn't even on a map which is an Interesting concept with an eclectic cast. This was not advertised widely so one may just get lucky enough to stumble upon it & enjoy it.It is worth seeing more than once. Chris Cooper's character is a standout as a man who hates lies and acts accordingly in a comedic yet honest way.Chris Cooper is from "American Beauty" & "Adaptation".Our main character- handsome James Marsden ( "X-Men","Gossip","Disturbing Behavior" ) is the lead as an artist who's father doesn't believe in him as an artist and wants him to attend law school instead.Amy Smart as a model on billboards( "The 70's","Road Trip","Ratrace")as his dreamgirl.Gary Oldman ( "Murder in the first","True Romance") as his traveling companion on part of his journey.Christopher Lloyd ( "Back to the Future" trilogy )as his contract signer for his wish.Amy Jo Johnson ( "Sweetwater","Felicity" tv.series )as a hitch-hiker.Kurt Russell ("Breakdown","Dark Blue","Big Trouble in Little China" ) as a sheriff in a strange town of legal euphoria.Ann-Margret ( "Viva Las Vegas","A New Life" )as an owner of an art museum.Michael J.Fox ( "Back to the Future" trilogy,"Spin City" on television )as a busy businessman. This film is made of wishes, dreams & realistic fantasies. Hard to catagorize-one would probably call this a comedy yet it's much more than that in such a wonderfully different way !
Rating: Summary: A cute movie -- nothing more. Review: A formulaic fantasy movie that's been done before, but mildly amusing nonetheless. not the kind of movie that you'd like to see more than once, however, because you've seen the formula before in other movies. If you've never seen this movie before, it can provide a mindless distraction for about 90 minutes, but don't expect anything original or profound. The reviewers who give this movie the type of rating that should be reserved for "Citizen Kane" really need to get a clue, or perhaps they just need to outgrow their teenage years.
Rating: Summary: Humorus, entertaining, and unique! Review: A slightly offbeat movie with a great cast. Unique idea which is well executed - kind of like the "Twilight Zone," but more upbeat and with a happy ending (if you want it to be happy). Be careful what you wish for! Well worth taking a look at. You'll like it. Really.

Rating: Summary: Take a trip down I-60. It is one trip you won't forget. Review: Bob Gale, the creator of the Back to the Future series, writes a brillient and well thought movie that will really make you think and even give you a look at life that you may not have thought of before.
A young man who is at a cross roads in his life (James Marsden) makes just one simple wish "He wants an answer." A trickster who happens to grant just one wish and only one wish to those that ask (Gary Oldman) gives him his one wish, but it is anything but a simple wish. His wish takes him on a mysterious journy along an unlisted highway , Interstate 60. It's not on any map and it is a road that holds many intersting and unique towns. All that in a way take a look at his own life and what could be.
After he meets with a mysterious man named Ray (Christopher Lloyd) he agrees to do a special delivery for him to a town named Danver. The only way to get there is by taking I-60. He recieves a simple magic 8 ball that will give him the answers to his questions. But his wish is far from over, once he gets on the interstate things have just begun. Along the way he meets the trickster himself, the girl of his dreams and towns that are filled with lawyers, drug addicts and people who demand only the truth and nothing but the truth or they will blow you up. Bob Gale comes up with some of the most creative characters ever and you really do get involved in the situations that James Marsden's character finds himself in. Every decision he makes leads to a new twist, every town he comes to makes him think of what it means in his own life and nothing is really what it seems.
This movie is a lot of fun and a great watch. I truly enjoyed it and am glad I purchased it. The creator of the Back to the Future series still has it and even brought in Michael J. Fox for a cameo at the begining to add to the familiarity. Just the thoughts and ideas that they pass through this movie will make any watcher think of thier own lives and how they see things in our own reality. Many cameos and many stars fill up this movie. It's a shame it never was released in theaters as I truly think it would have been a sleeper hit. But it works just as well on DVD either way.
Now it's time to take a ride on Interstate 60.. a journy on a roadway like no other. Just be sure to buckle your seatbelt as it's one heck of a ride.
Rating: Summary: Film that makes You wonder every time You watch it Review: Excellent film; it has a degree of reality, meta-reality and fantasy in it. It has a conclusion(s); you decide what these are. This is not a typical Holly Sci-Fi with a typical action/adventure common factor. It makes one wonder and ponder about everything one perceives every day. It reminds people how important small decisions may be. It ridicules what we "learned" to accept as something "normal." Again, this is an excellent film.
Rating: Summary: One of those Direct-To-Video movies that shouldn't have been Review: I came across this gem of a film in the preview guide for the video store I work at, and got immediately intrigued. The movie premise, A mysterious mystical man sends a disaffected youth on the strangest road trip of his life, was basic enough. But the cast (Gary Oldman, Christopher Lloyd and Chris Cooper joined the true star James Marsden...surprise Cameos abound, though!) was stellar, and the writer's previous credit of Back to the Future is about as good as it gets, so I took a flyer on it. I was not disappointed. Despite the trap of a simple and overplayed concept, this film deftly sidesteps the pitfalls many an independent feature falls into. Part of this is due to the 'guest' cast. Though Marsden is competent, it's the appearances by Lloyd, Oldman, Cooper, and some great surprise cameos that entertain and surprise you at each stop on this journey. But equally responsible is a script with depth and intelligence, posing a few hypothetical 'What ifs' rather than just strange stuff for laughs. The script might be fairly predictable, but it's just wild enough to keep you on guard, and that's part of it's charm. Although the morals are obvious (and in the case of drugs, hammered in with 'Snake' like precision), the script keeps from being preachy. The filmmaking technique and cinematography aren't anything special, but they also aren't loaded with the gaffes or mistakes you can catch in many independent features. Though this movie isn't independent by any means, it feels like it, which can only be a good thing. The screen shows you exactly what you need to know, nothing more, nothing less. Overall, this is a charming movie in the same way that 'Playing by Heart' was; nothing challenging, but great performances by actors with a script with genuine heart. Great for dates and pick me ups, and an absolute gem to find at your local video store.
Rating: Summary: Great Actors do save a movie~ Review: I do think this movie is a bit too childish and naive in many sense. It's a good escape though - escape from the harsh reality. Yet everything seems to be too easy in the plot. The answer which the protagonist is seeking, is too obvious to be found. This is fatal to the movie since I can't share the feeling with him. In another words this movie actually fails to move me. But yet, life is always too serious to cope with. Therefore I do have a happy time with this movie and the supporting cast-- they really bring glamour to this relatively plain story. With a special attachment to this kind of story and the great support cast, I give 3 stars... though actually it worth perhaps only 2 and a half only.
