Summary: Outstanding!
Review: A very good movie with perfect actors for the parts that they play. Steven Seagal does an out- standing job as the Seal who saves the day. Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey are excellent villains. The action is nonstop. Seagal uses his Seal skills to handle the forces of evil. Tommy Lee Jones plays the bad guy very well. The bad guys fall in droves when Seagal makes his move. The movie has an exciting ending. This is a must buy movie.

Summary: UNDER SIEGE
Review: Steven Seagal plays Casey Rayback, a former Navy Seals officer who now serves as a cook on the U.S.S. Missouri battleship. Soon, the ship is seized by a terrorist group led by Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey. While the terrorist are planning to steal the nuclear missles that are currently on the ship, Casey plans on spoiling there fun, he lurks in the shadows of the ship, and takes out the bad guys one by one. This movie has lots of action and some offbeat humor thrown in for good measure.

Summary: Self-worshipping, egomaniacal buffoonery
Review: What a bunch of worthlessness. Aren't even this ego-glutton's mindless fans getting tired of this man's endless worship of himself? Think about it: Seagal's made how many movies now? Okay, okay, now think about this: How many times have the bad guys touched him up?
Answer: Never.
At least John Wayne got shot in the leg (multiple times, mind you).
At least Clint Eastwood had to survive a hanging and some pig slop thrown back at him in his career.
But Seagal's giant ridiculous ego will not tolerate him to be even graized by a bad guy.
Seagal sees himself as a god because Seagal, deep down, is stupendously insecure, just like any blustering bully on the block.
Get over it, this man and his onscreen invincibility is as believable as a cartoon at this point. No, I take that back, even Tom managed to hit Jerry back once in a while.

Summary: have to set this guy straight
Review: has this guy even seen the film he's reviewing? as for seagal never being harmed by the bad guy I point you to the scene where he is HOOKED WITH A GRAPLING HOOK! or a slightly older movie(hard to kill) you may not have seen in which he was SHOT AT CLOSE RANGE WITH A SHOTGUN AND PUT IN A COMA! or in yet another seagal early film (above the law) in which he was strapped down in a chair and BEATEN!

This is another example of someone hating on an actor, an actor whose movies he has never bothered to see.

Summary: Breathtaking Entertainment
Review: Directed admirably by Andrew Davis and starring the awesome Steven Seagal, this exciting DIE HARD at sea adventure is an action-packed winner from start to finish. Seagal scores again with his on-target performance of Casey Ryback, a tough chef battling terrorists plotting to steal nuclear weapons on a battleship they have taken control of. Breathtaking entertainment
that will have you excited for days, weeks, possibly months. Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey make terrific villains which is also another reason this movie is superb. Jones William Stranix character was so good I think he should've been nominated for an Academy Award oscar that would've been excellent, but he won the following year in another thrilling Andrew Davis film THE FUGIT-
IVE for best supporting actor in his character of Sam Girard. Gary Busey can also make a throughly entertaining bad guy. I love
this film a lot and I highly recommend it to anybody searching for action-packed fun. Trust me this is an exciting movie to watch over and over again. The only flaw is the DVD, they just released a special edition of THE FUGITIVE, they should release a special edition of UNDER SIEGE complete with commentary and documentaries. I hope they do release it here someday. A must see
actioner.

Summary: An amazing edge of your seat thriller
Review: Steven Seagal (Above the Law, Under Siege 2:Dark Territory, On Deadly Ground, Fire Down Below, Out for Justice, Hard to Kill, Executive Decision) stars in this awesome action thriller directed by Andrew Davis (Above the Law, Chain Reaction, Collateral Damage) along with Tommy Lee Jones (Men in Black, Space Cowboys, Batman Forever) and Gary Busey (Lethal Weapon) As all fans know, when you see Seagal on the cover, you will get yourself a definite bloody action movie with a lot of dying and killing as well as martial arts, guns, and knives.

The story is quite simple: Steven Seagal is a cook on a military ship that is transporting missiles. He has several other helpers and friends but there is one person he hates: Gary Busey. They always get into fights for no absolute reason. Anyway, the army men and guards call for concerts and entertainment but they have made one mistake: the music company they picked are not musicians and singers, they are international terrorists led by Jones. Busey finally reveals himself as a terrorists and helps take off some guards. Soon, these terrorists brutally kill all the guards and the captain. Holding over 160 people hostage, the villains demand money and say that if the government makes one attempt to stop them, they will use the missiles on the ship to shoot them down and bomb the U.S.A! But between the midst of all that, we see that Steven Seagal has not been captured......and now it's up to him to save everyone! What, of course, follows is a gigantic barrage of guns, guts, blood, knives, bombs, grenades, martial arts, and a little nudity.

If you are a real action fan, I recommend this. I hope to see the second but I heard it wasn't so good. A good film would be Above the Law, in which Seagal and Davis work for the first time. That film also features Sharon Stone and Pam Grier. I suggest you go rent this to see if you like it but trust me: IT IS BLOODY!

Rated R for strong violence, language, and very very very brief nudity.

Summary: Take Seagal for What He Is
Review: No one claims that Seagal will have a star on the walk of fame or that he is a critically acclaimed actor. But if you want a hero type movie with adequate action and a few neat twists here and there Under Seige will fit the bill.

I saw this film a few years ago on a VHS rental and found it entertaining for the evening. When I got the DVD I got the film as a gift and sort of wrote it off as a library movie but one that I would never watch again.

But on a cold sunday afternoon my hormone filled son and I decided to watch it. It was a blast. If nothing else the shots of this battleship during the first few scenes might be worth it.

The story is about a semi-reject Navy Seal [Seagal] who punches out his superior and is allowed to finish out his 20 as a cook. When the ship is taken over by a bunch of revolutionaries led by Tommy Lee Jones, Seagal takes on his Seal role and saves the day. Of course there is a woman involved who does a good job as the dumb blonde who becomes a heroine.

No masterpiece but fun to watch. Recommended.

Summary: Die Hard on a Battleship
Review: Steven Seagal's best movie and a superior action flick in its own right. Seagal's acting can generously be described as "understated". However, he is very convincing as a one man wrecking ball. The production value is excellent, as no expense was spared on the casting and action scenes. Busey and Jones eat up the screen in deliberately hammy performances and Erica Eleniak is hot. Definitely worth repeated viewing.

Summary: Outstanding performance by segal!
Review: I believe the case said "like die hard on a battleship!" For those of you who love on the edge of your seat action, this one is delivered to you full force a little on the wet side. Tommy lee jones and gary busey play bad guys in this one, normally i find this odd but they play really good parts as the villans! If you're looking for killer action, here it is!

Summary: SEAGAL'S BEST MOVIE
Review: A GANG OF CRIMINALS HIJACK A NAVY BATTLESHIP AND IT'S UP TO A COOK [STEVEN SEAGAL] TO STOP THEM. THIS IS A MUST-HAVE MOVIE. THE ACTION IS GREAT, THE PLOT IS FILLED WITH SUSPENSE, AND THE SCRIPT IS WELL WRITTEN. AS MUCH AS I LIKE SEAGAL, TOMMY LEE JONES [WHO PLAYS THE LEAD VILLAIN] COMPLETELY STOLE THE SHOW FROM THE FIRST MOMENT HE APPEARED ON SCREEN! IT'S NOTHING BUT NONSTOP EXCITEMENT ALL THE WAY. THIS REMAINS THE BEST MOVIE THAT SEAGAL HAS EVER BEEN IN. FOLLOWED BY A SEQUEL.
