Rating: Summary: Arnold's greatest combination of humor and violence! Review: In one of his earliest movies, Schwarzenegger may have reached his peak in the action genre. This film nay not be as legendary as "Terminator", but certainly carries the same punch. As an ex-secret agent chasing the kidnappers of his daughter, Arnold has the hearts of the audience throughout the movie. The high-intensity plot never lets up and the witty nature of Schwarzenegger sets the stage for many of his characters... as the lovable, yet deadly hero. This movie makes everyone wish that Arnold was their father. Go Commando!
Rating: Summary: This movie was exciting and interesting Review: This movie rocked! It was so cool! I loved it
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Of All The Times Review: Guyz tha movie i jus too good for the eye. The first time I saw tha movie was when I was at CJSS in 1990. Tha whole of tha following week it was all over my mind. Right now I'm doing my final year in the University and there are those codes which still ring at tha back of my mind. Whenever I'm watching the movie words like "BORING", "LABORIUOS", "OUTDATED" don't seem to EXIST in my vocab. Some of them are: "You remember when I said I will kill you last, I lied", "Watch the boat","How did you do that-I read the instruction". The GUY is a real machine-I consider him a ONE-ARMY-MAN!!! PEACE!!
Rating: Summary: The greatest movie ever made... Review: This film is amazing, an action packed blockbuster that clearly deserved oscars for Steven de Souzas incredible scriptwriting, tense and evocotive musical score by James Horner, and the wonderful acting talents of Arnold, Vernon and Bill... with superb support from James Patrick Kelly and many other important names, including Branscombe Richmond of Renegade fame. A masterpiece in every sense of the word, it just gets better every time I see it... and if you intend to watch it once be prepared to watch it 50 times! Get yourself a freeze frame video and enjoy all the fun of spotting stunt double Joel Kramer with his infamous mullet. Count the casualties (about 121 I reckoned) and laugh over and over as Arnold lets bad guys go, and tells them to let off steam! Never will another action movie scale these epic heights! Forget the rest, buy the best! Get Commando now and I promise you, you will not regret it. Arnie's portrayl of the gentle and caring reformed commando forced back into old habits by the sinister machinations of his ex-comrade Bennet is wonderful and epic, one of the great tragedies of our age. Shakespeare eat your heart out. Steven de Souza is far more deserving than you.
Rating: Summary: The greatest movie of all time Review: I know it by heart, it's great to watch anytime. Some parts are so bad, they're hilarious. Make sure you watch for budding actor, Bill Paxton! "WE LOIST EM SIR!"....ahahahaahhahahaa 5 unequivocal stars!!
Rating: Summary: My first Arnold movie Review: I first saw this movie 10 years ago when I was 14 years old. It just gets better on every subsequent watching. There is not much subtlety here - just a one-man army beating up the villains and rescuing his daughter. But what an army! Arnold is both charismatic and believable. Could Stallone or Lundgren conjure up that same aura of invincibility? I doubt it. I think this movie appeals to our primordial emotions - the plot is very simple with a clear purpose: see the good guy beat the bad guys...This, I think, easily overcomes our brain's gentle protests about the sheer irrationality of what we are seeing...-Ankur Kohli
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Movie of All Time Review: Commando is the finest film ever made. From Matrix and his daughter feeding a deer while James Horner's score plays in the background to the oscar-scene drama of Matrix and Bennet at the end. On the subject of Bennet, Vernon Wells truly deserved an Oscar for his acting. He simply comes off as the best villain ever, yet I always wish he would win. All in all, Commando is the best movie ever and gets my highest praise.
Rating: Summary: this movie rules. it is the best movie ive seen. Review: its cool when arnold is standing on the lawn and kills like 30 people when they are all shooting at him. i wonder why they keep missing? bad shots i guess.
Rating: Summary: Arnold makes it not so bad a film Review: Commando without Schwarzenegger in it would have been like the Bible without God and Jesus. He is the only asset this movie has. The camera always seeks to enhance his muscles. When he goes to save his daughter from some villains, he his much like John Rambo. There is no stopping him,and the last piece of dialogue says it all. A general asks: "leave anything for us?", and Arnold calmly says: "just bodies". END
Rating: Summary: Remember ven I zed zis is a good movie? I LIED!!! Review: However, I'll be more than willing to up this review provided that it comes on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (w/ Joel Hodgson hosting, of course). It would blow away "Mitchell" w/ Joe Don Baker!!!
