Summary: Amazing.
Review: I loved this movie. The ladder fighting seen was the one of the most, if not THE most, amazing martial art fighting scene I've ever seen. It was pure genius. It'll make you smile watching it. The underwater scene was great too. I also liked the little funny parts he added to the fighting scenes, as he does in all his movies.

Though the plot was basic (however, it did twist a LITTLE more than the ones in his other movies), the action flicks more than make up for it. A couple of other things too. The way he could stand up to the freezing cold in the beginning, espcially with what he was wearing, is to me a little beyond belief, though he is from China, which can get cold in certain parts. It also escapes me how he could hold his breath underwater for that long. Cops don't really practice holding their breath, unless they're scuba divers. The last thing is that I wish there were more martial art action scenes, ones like the ladder scene (that wasn't the only one, by the way). But neverthesless, a great movie. This is a must for any Jackie Chan or action movie fan.

Summary: Weird Eh?
Review: I must admit, I've seen this movie about five times and I still have a slightly difficult time keeping up. It jumps from place to place, and there are about 8 twists, which come and go without warning. Not to mention that the ending is INCREDIBLY lame and there is only one (great) fight scene. A great action movie, an average Chan movie.

Summary: Superb and Funny
Review: I really love it. Awesome fight scenes and of course, funny shark-chase. Nice leading lady too, looks familiar to me but nevertheless, surpasses my expectations

Summary: It was great, but a little too much greatness.
Review: I think it was really a little too great. It got a little boring

Summary: My favorite Jackie Chan film
Review: I've seen 14 Jackie Chan films and this one ranks on my list as his best. It's a hectic blend of martial arts, death-defying stunts, and hilarious physical humor that goes beyond even Buster Keaton. Yes, the plot is a bit hard to follow (probably due to a cut from the Hong Kong version) but the action sequences more than make up for it. I originally had been wanting to watch this film in theaters but it left after a quick run and a 14.53 million dollar gross, so I had to catch the film on video.

Jackie Chan plays, well, Jackie Chan, a Hong Kong cop who is assigned to follow a woman named Natasha. It's believed she is a part of an operation by the Russian mafia to smuggle out a nuclear warhead from the Ukraine. She eventually leads Jackie to Tsui, a former CIA agent who appears to be the head of the operation. After getting tangled with him, Jackie teams up with Col. Yegorov to retrieve the stolen warhead. Along the way, Jackie makes certain discoveries and begins to find out who the real bad guys are and what he must do to keep the warhead out of their hands.

Jackie Chan is the master. The reason his movies are so delightful is because Chan has no problem making fun of himself. He has a lot of great fun with his self-deprecating humor and it makes the movie even more enjoyable. First Strike is perhaps his funniest film yet.

As for the action sequences, they're as far from disappointing as possible. The kung-fu fight involving Chan defending himself against several men with tables, chairs, sticks, brooms, and a large aluminum ladder is a classic, perhaps his best fight ever (and I've seen Who Am I? and Drunken Master 2). With the last hour full of creative non-stop action, First Strike never fails to be a funny, thrilling, entertaining and all-out fun experience.

Summary: Very Good Movie
Review: If you are a true Jackie Chan fan. You would know this movie is actually called, "Police Story 4: First Stike."

And whats with the whole 'Jackie Chan fights for America for the first time"? Thats just wierd.

Summary: Great action,ok plot
Review: if you are looking for a movie with a good plot, pass this one by, but if you are looking for an action packed film with incredible stunts, then pick up Jackie chan's first strike!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great blend of Jackie
Review: If you think of recent Jackie movies as paradies they're more fun to watch. This mixes the Pierce Brosdin-type James Bond with the Beatles A Hard Day's Night (or is it Help? ). He does some globetrotting and some innovative stunts, has embarrassing moments and keeps in touch with Uncle Billy. As always, he climbs some walls faster than a squirrel and some fruit gets mushed. The storytelling isn't as compelling as Spielberg but Jackie's personality shines through.
