Summary: I Liked It!!
Review: I enjoyed Torque, it has globs of action like Fast and Furious. Its about a guys has this other guy's equipment and he tells him he cant give it to him at the moment, so they framed him by killing one of his rival's brother by killing him and telling the cops it was him, until the guy finds out and he goes after him in this wild ride that is fun to watch.

Summary: It was better than I thought it was going to be
Review: I herd from friend after friend that this movie sucked. Since I got a lot of people thinking negative of this movie I was reluctant to check it out.

Then I looked around on channels, and found it. I decided to see how bad this movie was. The opening 20 minutes was pretty dull, but then the movie kicks in, slowly but surley. It's about a biker(Henderson who takes a million worth the crystal meth, and he's upsetting a few people. The people who wan't it are going far as to frame him for murder; the others belive he WAS the one that murdered, the one another gang framed him for(The man killed was part of the rival gang, one by blood), and the cops who get a sketch of him, and decide to go after him.

It seems too much to handle for one guy, but it's pretty good. The chase sceenes are pretty nice, and intense, especially the end(Hyperspeed in the streets). And it has few plot twists, but there pretty nice.

The things wrong with this movie, is I don't usally expect bigtime drug pushers to be masters of bikeriding, the DEA officers look like collage potheads, and some of the sceenes are too expected(On the train tracks), too teen style(Chick fight on bikes), and too hollywood(As usual)

The reason I think many people didn't give this movie a chance, was because there have been a lot of speed movies since the Fast and the Furious, and they sucked(Even it's sequal.) If this movie would-have beefed it up with the R rating, it probably would have gotten more attention(Because seeing people getting blasted by shotguns, but no blood isn't cool, cuz it's fake)

Anyhow, according to reviews a lot of people hate this movie, but I found it ok. And it's a pretty decent movie for those who love racing/speed style movies. It had great concept, but could have been much more.

Peace

Summary: Good Fun TIme
Review: I saw Torque today and I liked it. I did not get to see it in January when it came out because my friends thought the preview made it look dumb. I saw it today and even if they said it looked dumb (which it is a little), it still is a lot of fun. The story is very easy to follow and the movie's chase scenes are pretty decent. The very last chase was a bit unrealistic, but if you are seeing the movie for fun (which it is, a fun movie) then you will forgive it. A lot of the dialogue and story is cheesy, but sometimes cheesy can be a lot of fun. I have a liking to this fairly new actor Martin Henderson and Monet (don't know her last name) is a hottie. I also liked the Jay Hernandez character. Ice Cube and the main guy could've been better just like in every other movie they've been in. A fun movie that shouldn't be taken seriously is Torque.

Summary: This is not a film for the cynical.
Review: I see no reason to not like this movie if you paid money to go see it. If you didn't realize it would be a cheesy action flick with clique driven dialogue, you are so completely ignorant on your movie selections that you disserve to be disappointed.
The plot is a so recycled I can't even remember what film should get the credit for using it originally. The dialogue is so corny that the characters even make fun of each other after delivering their one-liners. The action is such over-the-top physics-defying fluff that it comes off as a science fiction film, and a good one at that.
Martin Henderson and Monet Mauzer act extremely well with the limited dialogue they were given. It seemed as though they knew how over-the top it was and just had fun with it, which makes for a very enjoyable viewing experience. The thing that sets this film apart from movies like The Fast and The Furious, Two Fast Two Furious or Biker Boyz is that it doesn't take itself nearly as serious as those films do.
Torque is director Joseph Kahn's first feature film. His background includes a celebrated career as a music video director and it shows.
So, if you know going into this movie that it is basically an eighty-one minute music video, and that concept is not offensive, you should have a wonderful time. If that doesn't sound like your bag, don't waste your time by going to see it then further waste your time by writing a review of the film like you thought it was going to get the Oscar for best picture of the year.

Summary: When is the Ice Cube going to melt
Review: I think it was supposed to be Fast and the Furious with motorcycles but where Fast and the Furious succeeds this falls down on its face. Part of it is lame, completely unrealistic story. While I like cool stunts and bikes, this was just too unbelivable. And let's not forget the "FBI agent" and his sidekick. Is that a joke or what? What really ruined it for me was Ice cube(where did he come up with that nickname-he likes ice cubes?). I don't understand why would anyone put him a movie since he can't act if his life depended on it. He scowls a lot and that's about it. Overall, not even remotely entertaining.

Summary: TORQUE
Review: I thought this would be another plastic wannabe homeboy flick, like the dreadful fast and furious films. I was actually supprised it is a decent action film; even if it is a PG13!
Martin Henderson and Ice Cube are quite good as the leads.
Entertaining crap in a Beer and Pizza way!

Summary: Genius Filmmaking
Review: Ice Cube, while riding on an insanely loud motorcycle, through the windy plains, while wearing a really thick helmet, is able to have a conversation with someone on a cell phone, by putting it up to where his ear would be. This is just one of many reasons why I saw this film TWICE in the theatre. And bought the DVD opening week.

Summary: They must be joking!!
Review: If you enjoy having your intelligence insulted, this may be the movie for you.
This film is a noisy collage of cliches, ridiculous stunts, explosions and predictable dialogue.
Towards the end of this film there is a scene where the local and state police have put up road blocks preventing the characters from entering the city of Los Angeles.
They should put the road blocks back up to prevent the producers of this film from entering L.A.
Sometimes a bad film can be fun, You can turn off the brain and enjoy it for what it is worth.
This film rather chooses to blatantly belittle the viewer until your intellect has taken such a beating that the DVD release should include a vomit bag.
Also equally disturbing is a scene where the main character is talking with his girl friend tossing his empty beer bottles to break on the ground while they are in a childs playground.
Ice Cube is the only interesting character in this mess but he tries so hard to look and act mean that he comes across more like Mr.T.
Do yourself a favor. Avoid this turkey at all costs, you'll thank me for it later!!

Summary: Mind numbingly painful
Review: In order to make a good action movie there needs to be somewhat of an attempt at a plot, and not something ripped off from countless other films. Torque is a ripoff of such films as The Fast and the Furiouse and Biker Boyz.

The story is that a guy named Ford has returned from Thailand to settle an old score with some people, a group of Bikers called the Hellions. the Hellions manipulate a group called the Reapers to go after Ford. SO for 85% of the movie we witness one motorcycle chase after another until the end when they ride off into the sunset.

This is painfully bad in that just as they start to go into some story we witness another chase scene or brawl. It boggles the mind as to why this even being released in Theaters when good movies such as In Hell or the ever Classic Tremors Series is trapped in the Bowels of Direct to Video. We will see this on DVD by May.
