Review: This movie is probably my favorate action/adventure movie. with a great plot, story line and special effects, It needs no long reveiw. I canot wait for this DVD. It's so great, it needs no introduction. It needs no special features ^_^... not.

Review: How can you not like a movie called "Super Mario Brothers" that has nothing to do with the Super Mario Brothers at all? Bob Hoskins is okay as Mario. John Leguizamo is funny as Luigi. Dennis Hopper is great as Bowser. Toad rules. The inventions make no sense. Somewhere along the line the translation from video game to live-action went terribly, terribly wrong. The special effects budget is demented for such a mentally incapacitated film. The animated opening hints at lots of drug use. And after it's all over, the movie leaves it open for a sequel. "Super Mario Brothers" is one of the coolest stupid movies ever. "BOB-OMB!!"

Summary: Such a "lackluster" film! Where did they go wrong?
Review: I can remember playing the Mario Brother's video games for HOURS when I was younger. (Heck, I still play 'em!) Jumping on turtles, collecting coins, fighting big bosses. All of these adventures were the order of the day in the "Mushroom Kingdom." Nothing too complicated, just a real simple game. How in the world do you turn a game like that into a big budget movie? Obviously it was just made at the time to ca$h in on the Mario Brother's craze, its the only sane explaination! 'Yup, this movie had all the elements to ruin the Mario Brother's image.
A stupid plot, corny acting, terrible special effects. The list goes on. Why, why, why, WHY did they make a Mario Brother's movie? Even the TOMB RAIDER movie was better than this garbage! Pretty pathetic if you ask me! Trust me, stay away from this waste of time.

Summary: My all time favorite movie
Review: This is my all time favorite movie. I Know most people don't like it. But I don't understand why it has to be like the game. What kind of movie would this be, if it was? Come on it would be two guys running around jumping on Gumba's heads. Not saying I have anything aganist the games. They're fun and challenging. And who couldn't love Spike and Iggy and don't forget Yoshi. All you people who hated , it's your fault we don't have sequel! It will always be the best movie.

IT ALL STARTS OUT AS MARIO & LUIGI ARE A COUPLE OF PLUMBERS LIVING THE HARD LIFE.THEN THEY MEET DAISY.DAISY GETS KIDNAPPED BY KOOPA,THE BROS., OF COURSE FOLLOW THEM INTO ANOTHER DIMENSION! Summary: No where near in common with the video game!
Review: This movie was a big disappointment to me!! It was so unlike any of the Super Mario Bros. video games. I've played Super mario Bros. 1-3, and a few others, and this movie was pretty much nothing at all like the fantasy-based video games!Instead of the goomas being those little guys with big heads you can stomp on, they're instead enormous with tiny heads. Instead of those bomb-o-bombs being full-sized, they're these tene-tiny walking things. Instead of more video game-like things such as big mushrooms, fire flowers, and those funny-looking koopas, there was a city of mutants that was well-populated and a desert everywhere else in their world. Instead of Yoshi being that cute, green dinosaur with the long tongue, he's an ugly little dinosaur with weird-looking scales all over. If the producers of this movie WERE trying to make it resemble the game, well, then they sure as hell failed miserably. Even Super Mario Bros. 3 is more entertaining to play than watching this Super Mario Bros. 'Movie'. Good day,

Summary: It could have been better...
Review: I saw this movie last night and was not too impressed. I'm not going to say it wasn't "realistic," it's not meant to be. I mean, jeez, look at the game! I will say that I wish it had more in common with the game... too much was changed, in my opinion. Luigi is a young guy (with no moustache!), Toad is some kind of hippie, and the Goombas are shrunken-head dinos. I suppose most people would expect things to be more similar to the original, just like they'd expect a movie based on a book to be similar. I also got the impression that the writer/director really wasn't familiar with the game, maybe that's why there were so many changes. In any case, it is always tough to take a story from one media to another, and it seems to me that the efforts more often than not fall short of the mark.
