Summary: Not great
Review: The movie could have been better if it wasn't so boring

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Too Dark....That is why I love it.
Review: This is the first Batman sequel, and the only good one. The story is about the fight of Batman (Keaton in his best role) against the Penguin (a really sinister DeVito), Catwoman (a splendid Pfeiffer) and evil businessman Max Shreck (Walken in his best role since Deer Hunter). This is a dark movie, with a sinister humour and some sad moments (like the Penguin's funeral) but it is also a lot of fun. You will enjoy it not only if you are Batman fans and take his myth seriously but also if you just want to enjoy a truly GOOD modern fantasy movie. END

Summary: The Best EVER?
Review: Wow. This has to be the best Batman Movie I've seen to date. No sensory overload, No flimsy characters. I don't like, however, Catty's suit. How can she even move in that? She looks like frankenstien. Overall, this was a great movie, and worth the purchase. END

Summary: Batman Returns
Review: I forgot how much I love this movie.Batman Returns is a great parody to the comics let alone an awesome action/adventure film. This is one of my favorite films by Tim Burton. This is pretty much the last good Batman. The plot is great; I think it is stronger and darker than any of the others.I love Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman ; no matter what anyone says Michelle is the classic Catwoman and Halle Berry won't be able to live up to it.Michael Keaton, Danny Devito, and Christopher Walken also do a great job acting. The dialogue is pretty cool also.I really liked Gotham City in this one; it kind of looks like a Gothic city.I loved the final showdown in the movie.Make sure to check out this awesome movie.

In director Tim Burton's sequel to his successful BATMAN (1989), the Caped Crusador (Michael Keaton) is pitted against the demented, ravenous Penguin (Danny DeVito), a pitiful, orphaned psychopathic freak who once went on a baby-killing spree, and a "power" hungry capitalist villain Max Shreck (Christopher Walken). As the two criminals plot to gain domination over Gotham City, BATMAN must plot to stop them.In the highly stylized BATMAN RETURNS--complete with dark, Gothic architecture and moody lighting--Batman (and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne) is thrown a third enemy, a terrible distraction: Cat Woman (fearlessly and fabulously played by Michelle Pfeiffer). She is the slinky, sharp-clawed alter-ego of Shreck's secretary Selina. Batman must overcome his own dark past, and his present love entanglements, to rid Gotham of it's evil enemies, this time with even more intricately designed sets and tongue-in-cheek humor, making BATMAN RETURNS an action-packed, but darkly fun adventure.

"Darker, more brooding and weirder than the first Batman. It's also funnier and layered with more texture."

Summary: 5 stars for my favourite Batman's film of all-time.
Review: I've always love Batman and his films since I was born. He's part of my life. I remember that I used to have the poster of this film (Batman returns) in my bedroom; I think I was probably 4 years old. It's my birthday today and now I'm 16. It was 12 years ago. I could spend many hours looking at that photograph. This film has always been my favourite, as well - though the others are also great. Michael Keaton is an excellent actor, as you can notice after watching this film. Therefore, buy this DVD as soon as you can and enjoy Batman!

Summary: The Dark Knight RETURNS...
Review: "Batman Returns" is the sequel to the blockbuster "Batman". Though not as good as the first one, it is still highly entertaining, dark, and gothic. This movie takes place during Christmas time so Gotham is covered with snow... scenes of the city scape at night looked dreary and mysterious, which I really liked, because this is how Gotham suppose to look like. Tim Burton did an excellent job in setting the mood with the gloomy back-drop. In this second installment in the Batman movie series Penguin(Danny Devito), and Catwoman(Michelle Pfeiffer) team up to destroy the Dark Knight(Michael Keaton). Michael Keaton like the first movie, played Batman/Bruce Wayne very well. Danny Devito really made the Penguin seem scary, which is what I expected. Michelle Pfeifer really made Catwoman very 'yummy', no complaints here. In other words, their depictions of these comic book characters worked really well. I'm saddened to say that this is the last gothic Batman movie in the series, the other two, "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin", doesn't live up to my expectations for a Batman movie. I hope if they make another Batman movie, which I doubt after seeing "Batman and Robin", they would hire Tim Burton and Michael Keaton again... This movie and the first one are adult oriented, so it should be viewed mostly by mature audiences, unless you are a die hard Batman fan like I was. Anyway watch "Batman Returns" it's a cool movie.

Summary: An Extraordinary Work of Art
Review: I love this movie. I feel that this movie was very under appreciated. The character performances were beautifully illustrated by the actors. It's as though they're real people. I loved the depth and complexity of the characters. I especially enjoyed Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal of Catwoman. Catwoman was played with so much finesse. There were so many sides to this character and they were all played so wonderfully. The performances of Batman, Max Shreck, and the Penguin are also played with great strength. I also enjoyed the visuals and the score that the movie offered. Tim Burton is a brilliant and creative artist. I also loved the music. Danny Elfman is one of the most brilliant composers I've ever had the opportunity to listen to. This movie is so extraordinary. I commend everyone who put their time and effort into making this movie.

Summary: Always and ever will be the BEST Batman Sequel
Review: "I haven't been fed all day"

"Eat floor, high in fiber"

one of the many great catchy lines in this great dark, gothic style movie that is ultimate burton and the all time best batman (you could say sequel, but storywise this one is my absolute favorite) ever!! michelle piefer is THE GREATEST CATWOMAN OF ALL TIME, HALLE BERRY, YOU SUCK, MICHELLE OWNS THIS SO GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE YOU WERENT EVEN GOOD IN JAMES BOND SO GET LOST MICHELLE IS SO MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE THEN YOU AND ACTS BETTER, DONT CARE ABOUT MONSTERS BALL GET LOST, THIS IS NOT YOUR TERRITORY, oh,lol, sorry, got a bit enraged there, but it just proves a point, Michelle piefer has and always will own this part and i absolutely ador her in every way possible, especially in this movie. she steals alot of the movie, partly becasue i am absolutly in love with her and her character,i have a feeling that we would have been a great couple, and of course her great peformance. if selina kyle existed in real life, i wouldnt care if she was a total dork, i would still love her and treat her the best. but ANYWAY, getting off my love for michelle, i have been a HUGE Batman fan since i was a baby technically, and i grew up with these films. i believe i saw this one in the movies, but i was to small to remeber. all i know is that the character development is SOO well done, and the im guessing "minaiature" sets, like that zoo place are great and i put it almost on par with the minatures in the lord of the rings for detail. basically, batman has three villians to stop, the penguin who is running for mayor (i dont know what the ppl of gotham are thinking, but i wouldnt be caught dead voting for a freakin freak like penguin in my life), catwoman/selina kyle (who is....omg....dont get me started...absolutly stunning, espcially at that dance ball thing), and, the real villian in my opinion, Max zorin, i mean max shreck (oops, wrong movie, lol) who wants to bulid a power plant to leave his "legacy" for his dopey son. selina discovers this and he tries to kill her by pushing her out of the window (shes his secratery), and alot of alley cats somehow bring her back to life, some superstitios way wich is pretty cool, and then starts acting real freaky until she becomes catwoman. i dont know about many ppl but i like michelle as selina and not so much as catwoman, although either is puur-fect. like many have stated, michael keaton is the best batman ever and always will be unless someone else comes along which is highly doubtful, even with this christian bale guy coming in, keaton will always be THE Batman. ulike nicholsons super evil joker, the so called villians, other then christopher walkens Shrek (oops, not Shrek the other one, lol), are more pitiful (not in a bad way) then you would think of a batman villian, they are not supervillians, more like half villians, espcially catwomans character, who is from the start emotionally unstable, or depressed, whichever, and is totally ready for her transition to catwoman, i think anyone in her shoes would be. peguin is like wise a tragic being in himself. i mean, his parents rejected him because he was different, but not really because of his looks, but the fact that he would, well, for example, eat animals like cats (woull see whern you watch the movie) and even has to be locked in a cage. wow, what a sad person/penguin. but i never understood how a woman could give bith to a...penguin? maybe it was to many of those martini's, plus being married to peewee herman doesnt help, lol. but by far, the best parts in this moviewere not the action scenes, or the penguins (lol) but the love scenes between selina/catwoman and batman/bruce wayne. that whole scene where they are dancing and they recite there own "mistletoe" poem, and then at that point relize who there real identities are is so romantic, and yet so heartbreaking, because you want them to be together, but in the end it just wouldnt work out, they are too, well, emotionally unstable with themselves, and they probably wouldnt be able to have a normal relationship (although i wouldnt expect it to be). still, i wish that selina and bruce got together in the end, but i believe that they still loved each other, but they just couldnt be together because of there radical circumstances. max shreck getting toasted at the end was great, hes such a nasty villian in this, as he is always, and he also happens to be the villian in tim burtons other awsome movie, sleepy hollow. the batsub thing that he rides in the sewers is awsome, but it should have went faster and sprayed water everywhere and killed those stuipid peguins with the missles. i dont know about everyone else, but i never noticed the supposed 'stupidity' of the bomb dressed penguins. i always like it, it had aquirkiness just like the penguin himslef, it wouldnt make sense to have a villian like penguin and not have the penguins, and the penguins giving oswald a proper burial was somewhat touching, for all the neglect he had from humans, the penguins loved him, and thats where he truly belonged, with them. bruce wayne and his whjole"parents"thing isnt really shown here at all like in the first film, and its kinda good that it didnt, with all these new characetrs and complicated histories of them. all in all, very goo movie, touching in places, yet dark and scary in others. the atmosphere, as in all butrton films, is top notch, and the looks they gave gotham city, even though it looked like it was painted or something, was sooo cool and awsome, and i prefer that then a real city anyday. great filmmaking and the characters are cool, beautiful, and disgusting (dop the math, lol). oh and one more thing, MICHELLE PIEFER I LOVE YOU!!!

Summary: I don't think Catwoman is a bad person in this movie!
Review: First of all, let me begin by saying that, Michael Keaton is the one and only person that should have ever fastened the cape and cowl to his body. The clowns after him simply ruined the character and lowered true fans' expectations of the sequels. Seriously... Val Kilmer???? Batman never used the word "chicks" not ever. "Chicks love the car" Excuse me while I bring my lunch back up...Uggh.. And George Clooney?? Amazing what kind of props you get for being voted sexiest guy of the year in a couple of goofball magazines... Anyhow, "Returns" is a great master piece. The cast is simply marvelous and the acting is superb. I truly love the way the movie depicts the "forbidden affection/crush" that Batman and CatWoman share. I get chills everytime I see the part where they are at the party and they resite each others comments about a kiss under the missle toe. I think this was genius and such a very touching way for them to find out their secret identities within each other. The musical score is also exceptional as it compliments every emotion as it happens when it happens. Danny DeVito plays a great role as The Penguin. He gives the character the ability to demand respect as a true cold blooded villain. The costume is absoultely gruesome, and so efefctive alongside his penguin-ish behavior to put the personlity of the Penguin over so well. I might also mention that this was the only other installment of the four, that truly took the time and effort to establish two villains at the same time. In my opinion, part three with Kilmer, The Riddler and Two-Face were pretty much slammed down our throats and we had to go on what we knew from the Adam West era and DC Comics to accept their repulsive criminal person. I hardly enjoyed the fourth installment which actually introduced 3 new characters in the same picture. To use Arnold as Fries might have been more respectable if he came across on a more diabolically maniacal angle. Too many jokes and modern day slang here. He turned out to be a goof instead of a villain. Poison Ivy was a rush and so was Batgirl. They even had the nerve to cram Bane in there... If I could meet the knuckleheads that allowed these characters to be botched up the way they were.... wow.
Anyhow, Keaton all the way and the only way as Batman. Period.

PS: You can see the true damage done by the latter two as now, the only thing left to do with the Batman franchise is to go back and do "The Beginning" prequel along with nearly every other trilogy that has exhausted creativity and disappointed fans.
