Summary: Of All the Films They Could Have Remade...
Review: I saw this film in the theater and found it enjoyable enough. The problem is, while watching it, you keep asking yourself, why on earth did they decide to remake this particular movie? The original with Sinatra, Martin, Davis, Lawford, et. al, was created primarily as a vehicle for these men, known, of course as the Rat Pack, who were stirring more than martinis on the Vegas strip during the late '50s and early '60s. When the original was made, the gang was at its height.

So now comes this version. Okay. Clooney's no Sinatra. Enough said. And the rest of the cast doesn't come into this with the real life camaraderie we associate with the cast of the original. It makes for an interesting film, but keeps begging the question, why did they want to remake this? (Especially when the 1960 version wasn't exactly one of the greatest flicks of all time.) If you can fight that question from popping into your head, you'll enjoy it.

And, most importantly about this film, it features the legendary Carl Reiner, whose name seemed to be conspicuously absent from the marketing pushing Clooney and Pitt. But check out one of the masters, and Elliott Gould also gives a top-notch performance. Plus, unlike Angie Dickinson's character in the '60 film, Julia Roberts actually has a somewhat well-defined character and certainly much more to do.

It's an enjoyable film, but always leaves you wandering what films they decided AGAINST doing in order to do this.

Summary: S.M. 's Review
Review: Ocen's Eleven is a complete knockout! It is so funny! It is action packed, too. Those are two of the many things I look for in a movie, and Ocean's Eleven has a full serving of both!

Summary: Something is missing
Review: With all the star power this movie has, it should blow my socks off. I was so not impressed, I think I fell asleep the first time I watched it. The classic story line is not new, but interesting. It almost seems as if the huge egos of the actors bled through to the charactors. All the behind the scenes of Vegas stuff was cool, but I don't know how realistic.

Summary: So entertaining
Review: 5 Words for those who don't understand the purpose of this movie - DON'T TAKE THIS MOVIE SERIOUSLY!

It's meant for entertainment and that's what it is - entertaining. The movie leaves you feeling happy ever time you watch it.

The acting is superb and the movie is just thrilling and enjoyable to watch every time.

Looking for a great DVD rental or purchase? Ocean's 11 is your winner.

Summary: Good book, Bad Show
Review: I read the book before I watched the film - I couldn't put it down. Then I rented the movie... Yes, the basic storyline is there, yes it is well acted, yes the story has great potential, but I've seen better editing and scene transitions in High School productions. I forced myself to sit through the whole thing in hopes that it would get better, but it didn't. Additionally the movie is so dark in places I felt like turning on the lights in my home theater just to see what was happening.

If you really are considering purchacing this film then I recommend that you run down to Blockbuster and rent it first just to be sure that you arn't going to regret your purchace.

Summary: Great movie
Review: When i decided to see oceans eleven on my birthday and I knew it would be pretty godd, but i had no idea it was this good. Their plan was genius. Now I have it on DVD. I was watching it w/ some of my friends who are 12 and I'm 14, they're like this is so boring. Thats because they were to yuong to understand it. Well this is a great movie but u should be smart or over 13 to get it good.

Summary: A fun ride
Review: This was a great popcorn movie. It had an incredibly talented drool-worthy cast and some good special effects. Nothing too deep going on character-wise or plot-wise, but that's not really the intended project. It's fun with some great special effects and great acting, with a casino heist and a grudge thrown in.

Summary: too artificial
Review: Well Cloneey face is really fashioning, and I love to see Elliot Gould on screen, but Julia Robert is a skeleton. And the film is impossible story and Mr Sodelbergh must do something better than remakes.

Summary: Very Entertaining
Review: I enjoyed this film. The storyline does seem a little jerky at times, but I would definitely say that I will watch this movie again. Each of the main characters does a stellar job of acting.

This movie is very entertaining. It is a nice combo of action with comedy.
