Summary: What a waste
Review: This was probably one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. Bad acting, bad script, ridiculously impossible computer enhanced stunts and a recycled spy plot. Every vehicle in this movie exploded......for no apparent reason! Oh....and I didn't know this, but you can jump a 25 foot high fence with razor wire on top on your motorcycle off of a little 3 foot high berm! I actually got bored watching the continuous explosions. What a waste of Vin Diesels time...I think he can do much better than this.

Summary: xXx-cellent!!!
Review: I had never been very interested in action movies, but I went to see XXX anyway. I thought the plot, while somewhat predictable in some places, was good. The action sequences were great, Vin Diesel was better, and Marton Csokas (he played Yorgi, the bad guy) was hot! I see no downside to this movie. I highly reccommend it.

Summary: I can't believe this is a four star movie
Review: No plot, full of cheesy lines you could recite before the characters did. The action didn't thrill me, the script didn't hold my attention. It even helped me like Vin Diesel a little less. I understand why it's popular with the younger people - it would appear it was designed just for them. But defninitely - seeing a four star rating on this one has convinced me to NEVER trust a rating system EVER again.

Summary: Blasting Action with an unlikeley surprise
Review: What was the surprise? Well, I went to the theatre expecting adrenaline, adventure and action... and little else. But I was pleasantly surprised, both by the storyline and the decent performances of the actors. Diesel is an unusual spy -- super only in that he's natural and does it HIS way. "If you're going to send someone to save the world, make sure they like it the way it is..." or something like that. He may not like the world he is saving but he takes doing his mission to the extreme... and that is obviously the part that his character, x-sports freak that he is, gets the most out of.

It may not be an intellectual thriller or the most amazing story you could ever imagine... but it is pure entertainment and don't try and take it for anything else. Bravo.

Summary: It needs work
Review: It's not like the movie was that bad but it wasn't great I have seen worse. The problem with the movie is that it lacked...something... like a plot, good dialogue, better actresses, actors, and some type of theme. I only wanted to see the movie because Vin Diesel was in it well I guess that's good enough, glad it was free, I suppose I got my money. ;) The movie may have been better if they had shown some of Sam's and Diesel's background to add something to the movie. The movie just did not flow. It was like it was a great movie and then it went to the editors they chopped, the pieces feel on the floor and was pasted together good clips and trash. It's not that the stunts were bad, but slightly unbelievable. Like I said it needs work.

Summary: And XXX marks the spot
Review: I took a chance with XXX expecting it to be just an average run of the mill movie but this film turned out to be much better than I thought. It may not be the best action movie in the world but just for my two cents it's a very good movie.

Vin Diesel stars as the lawless stuntsman Xander XXX Cage who is recruited by secret agenst to thwart the mad schemes of a Czech madman who uses a deadly agent called Silent Night because the deadly chemical is neutralized and rendered harmless by water and water vapor leaving behind no evidence of the incident. The madman plans to depopulate Prague by means of this chemical and it's up to Xander Cage aka XXX to stop the madman.

Rob Cohen who directed last years awesome Fast & The Furious directs this movie so those who liked the former I think will enjoy this one too.

I hope I didn't give too much away.

Summary: Non-stop Action!
Review: While my husband thought that the plot had holes and Vin could work on his acting, I though this was the coolest movie and even better than any Bond! The action doesn't let up, there is great stunt work, awesome scenes, and cool spy toys. The only small thing that could have been a tad better is the kissing scene. Go see this movie and then buy it! :)

Summary: enjoyably inane spy thriller
Review: Pity poor Prague. First it gets hammered by a flood of historic proportions this summer - and now this: potential annihilation by a submarine carrying biological weapons It may make all those people who live there start to wonder if, perhaps, they did something to make the Man Upstairs turn against them.

"XXX" is a spy film for the new millennium. Sure, it utilizes all the conventions of the genre that have been in place since James Bond made his cinematic debut back in "Dr. No" forty long years ago: international intrigue, fantastic technological gadgetry, a generous helping of sardonic humor, beautiful women (who are, more often than not, really double agents), and, of course, a hero in whose capable hands rests the fate of the entire free (and even not so free) world. The difference here is that this protagonist is no cocktail-sipping sophisticate like Bond, but rather a lower class, rough-and-tumble, antisocial troublemaker who would rather throw expensive cars off bridges than risk his life for God and country. That very attitude of devil-may-care devilry makes him the prime candidate for the task of undercover infiltration that the CIA needs done at the moment - or so our hero, known as XXX, is told by Augustus Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson) who recruits the prison-and-hell-bound ruffian to serve as a mole in a nefarious, underground organization centered in the Czech Republic.

Actually, for all its obeisance to the spy-movie formula, "XXX" turns out to be quite a fun, rollicking good action film, provided one goes along with the nonsense and doesn't expect too much from it. It is certainly miles above this summer's earlier spy flick, "Bad Company," which utilized much of the same plotting and even featured Prague as the backdrop for some of its action as well. In this case, however, the filmmakers have a star worthy of his buildup. Vin Diesel may not always be able to deliver his lines in a way that is 100% convincing (he is particularly inept in the scene where Gibbons is convincing him that he needs to get with the program rather than risk time in prison), but he does emanate a certain charismatic charm, particularly when called upon to deliver some of those sardonic one-liners that are standard issue for a modern action hero figure.

"XXX" has a clever opening stretch in which our hero is continually put to sleep with a dart gun and finds himself waking up in strange surroundings - courtesy of his boss who wants to test the man's mettle before sending him out into the world he is being called upon to save. The last half hour, though utterly preposterous by any measure, manages to get the adrenaline going thanks to first-rate photography and split-second editing. Dean Semler, the film's cinematographer, deserves special praise for his work on this film. The movie looks, quite frankly, gorgeous. Luckily, he was handed for his subject one of the most photogenic cities in the world and, I am happy to say, he does it full justice with his camera.

Fast-paced, moderately witty and always lovely to look at, "XXX" promises to be but the first entry in a long-lived and very lucrative new film franchise.

Summary: James Bond with muscles
Review: It is like watching James Bond with muscles. Vin Diesel takes on the role of Xander Cage and it's like Xander could be a younger version of James Bond, maybe even his child born to one of the many women James Bond has romanced over the years.

The stunts are amazing and keep your eyes on the screen waiting to see what comes next. It has action mixed with comedy.
