Summary: Good movie, better than XXX (which was also good)
Review: Statham is fun to watch and a way better actor than Vin Diesel (whom I also like). Good actor, good-looking. A good B movie with a bad ending and a soundtrack that doesn't fit. Overall, though I enjoyed it. This is a movie to entertain-- not to ponder too hard. Cool car chases, especially at the beginning. Some creative action/fight scenes, especially the one involving motor oil, and another with a shirt used as a weapon. The end came to quick and wrapped up too fast for me. Likewise the end scene was way too corny and C rate. I've been waiting one year for Transporter to come out on video. Some of the scenes would have been better to see on big screen.

Review: How do you rate action-martial arts movies? This one developes most of its characters and has real story telling qualities, something that is rare in this genre. However, the current pace is to "push the envelope" in action sequences ever further. This is becoming "designer martial arts." I would have to say "Kiss of the Dragon" with a phenomenal performance by Jet Li has set the pace. This is why "The Transporter" is so entertaining, as it is the same basic Chinese-French connection and crew at work. Corey Yuen's choreographed action sequences are at the same high standard again. Corey this time is the movie director. Jason Statham is phenomenal. It has always been abundantly clear that Jason maintains himself in top physical condition. This film demonstrates his physical agility through many extended, mind boggeling martial arts sequences. That mad french crew of stunt men from "Kiss of the Dragon" are also back to be creatively beaten up again. I can't help but notice that some of the stunts must have actually hurt. From kicking a bad guy through the front door, to beating up the entire houseful of thugs, to a sequence shot with everyone greased up in motor oil, to everyway possible to fight within a truck cab, this movie "delivers" on action. However, the beautiful photography of France, the amiable French Inspector, and the beguiling Chinese damsel in distress raise this movie way beyond the norm. Jason really fits the part of a perfectionistic, ex-military transporter, and the stunt driving is also phenomenal. Between the martial arts, stunt driving, beautiful photography and just plain, excellent story telling, this film is unbelievable. That is why so many of my friends and I are watching it several times, as you just can't believe what you see the first time.

Summary: Action was well done, but the directing was terrible.
Review: I will start off by saying that I enjoy Jason Statham's work in his other movies besides Ghosts of Mars. Snatch was a great movie. This movie should begin to give Statham a name in the industry in America I hope. I want to see more of him and less of that ... Vin Diesel.

This movie was terribly directed. The music is really dumb and constantly missused. Some moments that should have no music have some dumb techno playing that kind of ruins the moment. Some scenes are overly dramatic due to the use of the music. The music of a movie may not seem like such an important thing when it is done well, if it is done bad however,it creates noticable problems for the movie.

The story of the movie was well not existant which for some action movies it is not such a bad thing, but it is so bad when you compare it to the creativity of the fight scenes you find yourself saying "okay just skip to the next fight scene." Also the effects they try with the bullet tracers on the guns should have been tossed out. It was a little too cheesy I thought. I did want to see Statham gunning down more foes with those two silver handguns that he has on the promotional poster (which he never has two at a time)though.

The acting was so-so. Not bad on Statham's behalf, but I absolutely cannot stand the guy that was in Fast and the Furious and Blade II. He is a terrible actor and should be kicked out of the industry. I am always glad when he is killed in the movies.

To sum things up, if you want a watered down PG-13 action movie (would have been better at an R rating)that you can fast foward through without having to worry about what is going on this is the one for you. But if you prefer well written, directed, and musically scored action movies such as the Matrix
then you might just want to rent it for the 60th time instead:)
The story well

Summary: Entertaining, sorta.
Review: I really wanted to like this movie. I mean, it's okay, I guess, but I had some high hopes due to Luc Besson's involvement. However, The Transporter just doesn't make it beyond the average action flick.

There is zero character developement here. I'm all for fast cars and guns and good fights, but without real characters, it's just fluff. And the sad thing is, this movie had potential. The idea of a professional wheelman is interesting and deserves to be explored. The Transporter turned out to be just another excuse for an actor to take his shirt off and act tough.

If you're looking for something with substance, I'd take a look at Besson's Leon (The Professional), Le Femme Nikita (not the bad tv show, the Besson movie), Reservoir Dogs or Jackie Brown. On the other hand, if you are after big explosions, a fast car and decent chase, and some overly choreographed fighting, then The Transporter might just be the thing for you.

Summary: Are you kidding me?
Review: There are plot holes big enough to drive a black BMW through in this film! Sure, the butt-kicking scenes are fun, .... I agree that the leads, especially Mr. Statham, should become big stars, but they're going to need much better material than this to do the job.

Summary: Excellent, Jason Statham Rocks!...
Review: The Transporter is the best action movie since "Speed".The fight scenes are the best, better than The Bourne Indentity.

Summary: Very good action movie!
Review: I bought this movie off of the shelf the first day it came out because i knew it would be worth owning just by the trailer. All and all it was a very good movie, but every once in while you would see some shots in sort of a different tint or something. But other than that it was a great action flick and Jason Statham did a great job and I hope to see him in more movies because he has great potential to make up with the some of the best. He did great fight scenes and a great badass attitude. I definatley recommend to anybody who is in the mood for a good action movie

Summary: Incredibly Bad Movie
Review: The movie starts off with a kick-butt opening car chase with really cool driving and cinematography. Jason Statham is a really charismatic guy with enough brains to balance out his brawn. BUT, the moment that Chinese chick shows up, everything (Jason included) goes downhill. She's a half-brained chick with the shrillest voice imaginable spouting the dumbest dialogue ever scripted. Absolutely no chemistry, no redeeming value to their relationship. Change the script, the actress (Zhang Ziyi, maybe), keep the great fight scenes -- THEN the movie would be worth my [money].

Summary: Complete Action
Review: If you want action The Transporter has it. Although it has absolutely NO PLOT it really doesn't need it. Every second of the movie is full of explosions, gunfights, hand to hand combat, and amazing stunts. If you're looking for a good time this is the movie for you.

Summary: Fire!!
Review: This movie was extremely hott!! The choreography and the cinematography in this film made it one of the most beatiful movies of the year. The story wasnt the best, but it wasnt the worse either (it is a martial arts flik). The look and feel of the movie made up for everything lacking in the story line. I hope the DVD does well, because I know alot of people in this town really slept on this film. This film has the potential to replace both Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies. I want to know if this guy really knows martial arts or was it all choreographed specifically for this film because he was extremely convincing and I hope he does more films like this. If you havent seen this film go to your nearest video store and pick it up (release tommorrow... hopefully). I give the movie 5 stars. Bad story? The action was so good that I didnt even thing about the plot until I wrote this.
