Summary: Soundtrack in limited release!
Review: I'm thrilled that Wind is finally being released in widescreen DVD. In addition, the soundtrack was released by Citadel Records last November in limited quantities (only 1500 produced).

Summary: Every thing but salt spray
Review: In real sailing, going into a stiff wind under full sail (tacking)is most exciting. The sensation of speed and power is awsome. The boat leaps from each wave top. The deck tilts recklessly. One rail diappears under the rushng water. You can scarcely shout over the noise of wind and sea.
"Wind" captures this action in the last thirty minutes like being there. The only thing missing is salt spray lashing your face. No race to the finish has ever been more thrilling. Your good sound is a must for full emersion. One of my ten best ever.

Review: It's about time somebody smartened up & decided to finally put this film in dvd format. This movie is awesome. the cinimatography & music combine for a great experience. even if you know nothing about sailing. Plus, me being from Newport, RI, where some of it was shot, i share something more in common with this movie than most people. can't wait for my copy to come.

Summary: FINALLY
Review: I am so not into boats or boat racing but this movie took my breath away! The soundtrack was beautiful and so fitting, and the cinematography was breathtaking! Very reminiscent of the Black Stallion, which is my favorite movie of all time!
I'm so excited to finally have this on DVD!
Get it you won't regret it!

Summary: sailing techies, rejoice!
Review: Wind is a great film... anyone who's ever spent time on a racing boat can watch for technicalities, but the thrill of sailing is a rush for everyone. I've waited a long time for this dvd!

Summary: MY FAVORITE MOVIE
Review: Absolutely the best sailing movie ever. Not the greatest story but the cinematography is awesome and let's face it, there aren't many movies about sailing.

Summary: FINALLY..... IT'S AVAILABLE!
Review: I just received a message from Amazon.com that "Wind" is being released on DVD. I am hopeful that the video and audio transfer brings even more magic (not that it's needed) to an already great film. I have been trying to ascertain what the "hook" to this movie is for me, and I would guess it boils down to this: 1. A fairly believable love story 2. Great sailing action and camera work to bring back the rush of my sailing days 3. Excellent casting and character matching.

Please do yourself a favor and at least rent this movie when it becomes available, and you just may end up putting it in your collection permanently.

Summary: Yesss....I've been waiting for this DVD for ever!
Review: This movie is absolutly awesome. As a sailor this is the only thing that keeps me sane in the cold winter months. I've watched my vhs copy so much the tape is worn out. I know a lot of sailors that love this movie, and it's fun for everyone. The music and cinematography of excellent. I can't wait till March!!!

Summary: Finally!!! WIND HAS COME TO DVD!!!
Review: I had a feeling that this would be released right around the America's Cup Race. This is one of my favorite movies. I can't wait to view it on my 65" widescreen. If you enjoy sailing then this is a must. I have been waiting for this to be released for 2 years. Now the only thing left is to release the soundtrack.

Summary: finally!
Review: If there ever was a movie waiting to be turned into a DVD WIND has to be it.

The maritime Chariots of Fire story is complemented by a great cast of quirky characters and amazing photography. It's beautiful. I almost bought the VHS version years ago but decided to wait. VHS can't do the film justice, especially on my 12' projection screen.
