Rating: Summary: Fast-paced, action-packed adventure! Review: I've seen The Long Kiss Goodnight at least 15 times and I can never get sick of it! I don't know if it's Geena Davis' good looks or the non-stop thrill ride, but this movie is nothing short of a classic on my list. I recommend this film to anyone who likes a turbo-charged adventure!
Rating: Summary: Great ACTION!!! Review: I really like the scene where Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson jumped off a three story building and Davis was shooting the frozen lake below.
Rating: Summary: Action, Humor & Shane Black. What Could Be Better? Review: Shane Black once again lives up to and exceeds the levels he created with "Lethal Weapon" and the "Last Boy Scout". Geena Davis stars in this actioner as a small town school teacher whose past has been erased due to amnesia. After a car accident, she is hit with a flood of memories which elude to the fact she may have actually been a top secret master of espionage for the US Government. Aiding in her quest to discover the truth is a down on his luck P.I. played by Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson's reaction to Davis' over the top antics are what make up a majority of the film's humor, and the two play off each other very well. If you're looking for comic book action at it's finest, Shane Black's "Long Kiss Goodnight" is for you.
Rating: Summary: great heroine Review: I love movies that don't portray women as helpless while standing and screaming. I don't believe women are helpless. Any movie that gives me a strong woman to identify with however far out, gives little girls and women a better image of themselves. I can't live up to Geena Davis but I'll try.
Rating: Summary: Energized Action, Excitement, and Humour! Wonderful Film! Review: A phenomenal blend of action and interesting plot come together to form "The Long Kiss". Samuel Jackson is at his best, as a low budget PI who follows Geena Davis on an action-packed journey of discovery. Both are witty and exciting as they battle new enemies, old friends, and a new threat that could bring terrorism to dangerous new heights. From the innocent school teacher (Davis) Samantha Cain, she transforms into a dangerous assassin that you have to see to believe. Hennessy, the PI (Jackson) also undergoes a transformation from a con artist, to a man on a mission to do right and help Samantha Cain discover the truth. Exciting and enjoyable!
Rating: Summary: Pretty, delicate Geena Davis as an assassin? You betcha! Review: Samantha Kane (Geena Davis) is a pretty schoolteacher with a lovely life, a handsome fiancé, and a pretty daughter. She is a PTA member and a regular cookie baking mommy, except that she has amnesia. Mitch (Samuel Jackson) is a lowly private investigator with the aging case of Samatha's past. When Mitch at last uncovers an old suitcase that may contain keys to Samatha's past, Samantha is also seen on TV in a Christmas parade by an inmate, someone from her past that would like to see her dead. When the inmate escapes and tries to kill her, Samantha realizes that pieces of her past are coming back to her and that her family is not safe. She leaves town with Mitch in order to track down the pieces of her life puzzle. Enter Charlie Baltimore, ex CIA assassin; the real Samantha Kane, and one very very badass woman. She is sexy and deadly, the best in her field; and her targets of her past are now aware that she is back. This movie starts just a little slow, but the pace soon becomes a rapid fire sequence of events where under extreme peril Charlie proves again and again that she is definately a force to be reckoned with. Who would have thought that the lovely and gentle looking Geena Davis could play the part of such a deadly and vicious woman? And yet she plays the part to such perfection that without a change of costume or hairstyle (at first) you can easily tell her persona from her facial expression alone. Absolutely stunning performance from Geena. Samuel Jackson is stupendous in his role as Mitch, playing a dorky and slightly incompetent anti-hero who finally manages to do one right thing in his life. One of my favorite moments, and one of the most memorable, is Charlie telling the bad guy, "You're gonna die screaming...and I'm gonna watch." When Charlie talks, you should listen. Absolutely fantastic movie. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: A Classic Action Movie, Essential For Any True Movie Fan! Review: Apparently the so called "Movie critics" didn't take a liking to this movie that much, but ya know what? Screw 'em! This movie is pure, unadulterated fun! Samuel L. Jackson in his most dialogue funny role since Pulp Fiction plays a down on his luck PI who just happens to stumble across a pretty school teacher(Geena Davis) who, when her memory served her, was a ruthless spy! This movie is hilarious with plot twists to boot! No one directs an action movie like Renny Harlin, he just goes all out and you find yourself almost questioning whether or not you are watching a cartoon. Fantastic explosions, great one liners and a really cool story. This is one of those must see movies of the 90's, so don't listen to what the critics say check it out for yourself!
Rating: Summary: politically correct Hollywood garbage Review: I don't hold spy thrillers to high standards of plausibility, but there are limits beyond which politically correct Hollywood impulses make these productions painful to watch. Apparently Arabs are simply unacceptable villains as terrorists--who could imagine Arabs indulging in terror? The CIA (or its nameless intelligence agency stand-in) is at the top of the Hollywood list, however (followed by neo-Nazis and businessmen). Except it's the CIA from an alternate universe: all-knowing, all-competent. This movie manages to up the P.C. a notch beyond the others, however. Not only is the CIA going to kill thousands in Niagara Falls in a poison gas attack to help it lobby for a budget increase, it's going to leave the body of an innocent Arab at the scene for a scapegoat. You would think that they would be too embarrassed to keep this in circulation after 9/11, but being P.C. means never having to say you're sorry.

Rating: Summary: Her name is Samantha Cain and she's only 8 years old.... Review: At least, that's all she remembers. She looks in the mirror and tries to guess how old she is. She's got a lot of scars.
She emerged on a beach 8 years ago. The docs say she has amnesia.
She's been searching for her past for years. Now, she's gotten down to the cheap private investigators....
What an opening! The movie doesn't let you down from there, either. It's pretty much non-stop action as soon as someone recognizes 'Samantha Cain.'
Davis is amazing and her 'odd-couple' partnership with Jackson is just perfect. This is one I'm glad to own and could watch again and again!
