Summary: Excellent much more realistic than Armageddon
Review: This is an outstanding movie, very true to life and very realistic. Morgan Freeman is excellent, he can be our President any time.

Summary: Not as loud as "Armageddon", but every bit as scary.
Review: No offense to Mimi Leder, but it was obvious that Deep Impact had a woman's touch...That's not all bad, because it made it better in some ways to Armageddon...Morgan Freeman has the authority to carry off being the President...His demeanor and sterness gives us a feel for the weight on his shoulders...And, unlike in Armageddon, we see a more positive portrayal of an African-American male... Tea Leoni is too wooden in the role of the MSNBC anchor...It's almost like her emotions are gone, which also explains the lack of enthusiasm when she finally reaches the coveted anchor slot... As in Armageddon, the true science of the movie takes a backseat to the human element, in this case the broken relationship between Leoni and her parents, and the ill-placed rush marriage between Elijah Wood and his girlfriend. Kudos, though, for at least having a Plan B (the Missouri caves) ready when Plan A failed. Though not as action-packed as Armageddon, Deep Impact takes time to make you think...Never mind that it's entertainment...It would only take a rock about the size of a football field, streaking into the atmosphere with no warning whatsoever, to put New York and the rest of the Atlantic seaboard in serious jeopardy.

Review: I was expecting a typical disaster story, but instead found myself literally in awe of the possibility of this actually happening. I was (and a lot of other theatergoers were) glued to the seat for at least 30 minutes AFTER the movie had ended!

Review: I thought there would have been much better acting in this than there was. Every character was so hollow you couldn't even begin to like them. Poor special effects to boot. One star is much to much for this flop.

Review: As I mentioned before, the best movie I have ever watched. Morgan Freeman and all other actors and actresses did a great job. A disaster Sci-Fi movie that tops all, even Armageddon. Awesome pictures of comet, huge wave, etc. I could've rated it million stars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: Going in to this movie, I was expecting entertainment. That I got and a whole lot more. This movie was well directed by Mimi Leader, well acted (especially by Tea Leoni and Morgan Freeman), and great special effects. Defiantly better than Armagedan which lact the necsesary, emotian and practicalness. For example in Armagedan the astriods conviencelly hit all these major cities. In Deep Impact people seem to react the same way they might if it actually happened. Tea Leoni was a great casting decsion, I congratuale her for a job well done.The special effect were also a marvel. I recomend this fast paced tear jerking to everyone, especially on DVD with the great sound and picture.

Summary: Better or Not Better than Armageddon?
Review: It's hard to compare to Armageddon. Armageddon had much and I mean MUCH better actors than Deep Impact. Although Morgan Freeman made a better president than whoever it was who played it in Armageddon. This story might be a little more accurate than Armageddon, but I loved them both. See this movie, than see Armageddon. My overall favorite is ARMAGEDDON.

Summary: DEEP IMPACT GREAT SPECIAL EFFECTS NOT SO GOOD SUBPLOTS
Review: I both saw DEEP IMPACT and ARMAGEDDON on viedo and I liked ARMAGEDDON better than DEEP IMPACT and here's why. I found that DEEP IMPACT focused too much on soap opera diaolouges such as the story of ELIJHA"S WOOD"S character and TEA LEONI"S as well. I felt that those subplots took away a lot from the fantastic special effects in the movie. Another thing I found unbelivable was that if scientists knew a mile high TIDAL WAVE was heading twoard the coast of the eastern seaboard. I would hope that they and our goverment would do everything possible to move people out of harm's way. Anyway I liked DEEP IMPACT for it's effects not it's story I kinda wished it was more like ARMAGEDDON instead foucsing more on action on action not soap opera subplots.
