Summary: A comet heads toward earth and this movie is about people's
Review: I reccomend you see this movie. It was really powerful and WAY,WAY,WAY better than Armageddon.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: pure sap garbage (would be 0 stars if it could)
Review: This movie has got to be the most painful to watch action movie ever made. There is about 2 minutes worth watching in this movie and the rest makes you just wish you paid to see Armageddon. More hugs than any movie should ever have, even Bette Midler movies are better than this.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: GREAT SPECIAL EFFECTS SO-SO STORYLINE
Review: I found DEEP IMPACT somewhat dissappointing although the special effects are great the acting is not and here's why. I found the whole storylines involving TEA LEONI'S character as well as ELIJAH WOOD'S soap opera style and boring although I do think MORGAN FREEMAN and ROBERT DUVALL do a great job in thier roles it's not enough to compensate for the above metiond. Anyway in my opinion the special effects are the only thing besides FREEMAN and DUVALL that save this movie so all in all I can't recommend it.

Summary: Don't waste your time and money on this one
Review: Tea Leoni was bad. The movie plot was bad. Everything (except the last few minutes where the Liberty was knocked down by the waves) was perfect to watch if you've been suffering from insomnia. Armageddon was much, much better than this one.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: GREAT! Unlike other disaster movies this one makes you cry
Review: Great! Wonderful! Superb! I loved this movie. It not only had a wonderful cast including Tea Leoni, Ron Elderd, Robert Duvall, Morgan Freeman, and Elijah Wood. It also had a hrad solid plot and definate goal. The special effect are great, and they are not too extreme. Hardly any violence at all. And the last half hour of the movie makes you cry. It's a great film. I loved it. And the other up thing about it is it's not too long, no sex or nudity and it's just all around a wonderful, spectacular, brilliant, moving film. This is a must see film.

Summary: one of Dremaworks' best so far!
Review: With the similarities among this movie and Armagedon, it's obvious there are going to be people that preffer one over the other. And this one is obviously the choice of the serious and intelligent moviegoers. It has an intelligent plot, great actors, breathtaking special effects, and despite the fact of the 'science-fiction' level of the E.L.E., it still manages to grasp reality in a very moving way. Armagedon on the other hand, lacks every single element that makes this movie so great. But, someone has to make movies for the poorly educated, empty headed moviegoer.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Elijah Wood-Pre Sell Out Mode
Review: I saw the movie twice in theaters then I rented it. What can you say about a movie like this? I vomited at Armaggedon for its predictability and lame special effect but I cried at Deep Impact for its realism. This movie was very good and featured Elijah WOod at his best acting since The War. I became a big fan of his because of this movie then he came out with The Faculty and all those cheesy Tommy Hilfiger commercials and now I hate him. Talk about a sell out. I think I will reduce my rating to 4 stars because of his sorry self. ELIJAH WOOD=SORRY SELL OUT But it was still a good movie. My favorite part is when at the end the girl pulls her hysteric "no, no, no, no." That is art, my people. That is art.

Summary: Slow start, VERY realistic, but not as fun as ARMAGEDDON
Review: I'll admit: ARMAGEDDON is my all-time favorite movie. For those of you who didn't like ARMAGEDDON (everyone is entitled to their own opinion), maybe DEEP IMPACT is more for you. I enjoyed DEEP IMPACT because it wasn't nearly as far-fetched as ARMAGEDDON. I thought Morgan Freeman did an excellent job. Robert Duvall was outstanding. However, I think this movie could have done without Elijah Wood. Another thing would be that this movie started off very slow while ARMAGEDDON got right to the chase. Hopefully, everyone can agree on this: while DEEP IMPACT takes humanity's destruction more seriously, ARMAGEDDON tends to take it more humorously with some conflict appeal. It just all depends on what you look for in a movie.

Summary: Deep Impact - A great cure for insomnia!
Review: Somebody should really stop Mimi Leder making movies, she really has no idea what's she's doing! Just like with the Peacemaker she has turned out another boring, overlong and emotionless film that so lacks any redeeming features that it's not funny (by the way, not one joke in the whole film, well unless you count the actual film).

I mean this film tries to get off as being a serious in depth character orientatied flick, but it's not, its WRONG WRONG WRONG! the characters are so mind numbling boring its not funny, that mother that kills herself, what kind of rubbish is that, this is supposed to be an asteriod movie, or those two kids in love, how pathetic, leave the romance to Cameron will you Leder! Oh and the effects suck, the camera was locked down and still the wave looked so fake it hurt.

In summary this film is totally coma inducing, my friend fell asleep watching it. How people like this film is beyond my belief. Go see Armageddon, that was an excellent film which has much better characters and storyline.

Deep Impact.. I think not
