Summary: I LOVED IT!
Review: This was one of the best action/drama stores I've seen in a long time! I didn't enjoy armaggedon simply because of the lack of emotions I felt for the characters involved. I didn't enjoy seeing a movie that concentrated so much on an asteriod. While it's hard to imagine the end of the world as we know it, this movie makes you think about the people you love around you and how your life would be without them.

Review: I thought Armageddon was bad, but compared to this hogwash it is a cinematic masterpiece. I hated the smug way this movie tried to disguise itself as something meaningful and philosophical... I mean, if you're going to make an adventure flick, MAKE one! And make it well, while you're at it. Forget the smug one liners, and PLEASE, for GOD'S sake, forget trying to teach us a life lesson. No matter how you look at it, Deep Impact is nothing more than another factory made, plotless, kindergarten-level scripted, American excuse for a movie. That's that.

Summary: An emotional rollercoaster
Review: I may be a little bias here, given the fact that I can not stand Bruce Willis who is definitely an overrated actor, I liked this movie a hell of a lot better than Armegeddon. Deep Impact sends you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion. You can care for the characters in this one, unlike Armegeddon. Morgan Freeman and Elijah Wood give wonderful performances. For a young one, Elijah Wood is probably THE most talented actor his age out there right now. To anyone who believes they were cheated expecting something good to come of it, well if this was to happen in real life, what good would there have been in this situation, therefore this movie is more realistic. GRADE: B

Review: Talking about natural disasters, this one has "it" all!!! Weather you like this kind of movie or not, you'll like it, guaranteed. Than you'll buy it and than you'll watch it over and over!!! Amazing special effects, great performance by Morgan Freeman and Robert Duvall, and of course, the superb directing touch of Spielberg. I'm telling you, those who don't like it, O.K., but those who say that this movie has ONE STAR? You must be joking!!! Just see it! From 0 to 20, this movie has 21!!!

Summary: One of the top 10 movies of 1999!!!!!
Review: I have seen this movie at least 10 times, and it keeps getting better every time I see it. The storyline is incredible and the performances by Morgan Freeman and Tea Leone' are very emotional. From beginning to end this movie is a rollercoaster ride of action and emotion. Such a combination is very rare these days. Something Armegeddon tried to do, but failed miserably in doing so.

Summary: Stop your whining! It's not about FX
Review: This was one of the most watchable and enjoyable shows I've seen lately (including Star Wars I). This is a story about more than special effects. It seems to delve into what the characters are thinking and feeling. I also noticed that as time went by in the movie that people identified what was most important to them and worked to make that importance known.If you are looking for a devastating disaster movie, this isn't the one for you. If you are looking for high tech sci fi this movie isn't for you. But if you are looking for a movie that explores the participants and helps you feel what they may be feeling, then give this movie a try. I sure liked it, and I hope to watch it again and again.

Summary: awesome!!!
Review: I saw this movie before I saw Armegeddon, and this has a way better story line. I have seen this movie several times, and am moved every time I watch it. The special effets are amazing, to say the least. I would not want to be in that situation ever! The sub-plots throughout the movie add to the dimension, and storyline. Who cares if the characters are not connected, if only through tragedy? The fact that daughter and father forgave each other was very touching. I am not very close to my father personally, and could appreciate the nerve it took to give up your life to die in your father's arms. All and all, it was an excellent movie, and must see!!!

Summary: One of the worst films I ever saw...
Review: This film made me happy to have a fast forward button! I felt somewhat uncomfortable that Robert Duval could be in a film like this. I had like him since Apocalypse Now. Flying a ship on the tail of a comet is even worse than shooting down alien ships with a computer virus or piloting alien ships stored in Hangar 50 something in Independence Day. The plot is unbelievable, the "special" effects less than bad and the side story of that reporter and her father totally out of context. If this is better than Armageddon I won't even try to see Armageddon.

Summary: Way too depressing!!
Review: I understand that this is a disaster movie, but I expected some "up" moments. There were none. In my opinion, disaster movies are popular because they emphasize heroism and goodness in spite of circumstances. I watched this movie hoping for a glimpse of a positive outcome somewhere... anywhere... but the stupid film ended leaving me feeling cheated. Armageddon, at least, had a meatier storyline (no pun intended).

Review: I couldn't figure out what the point of the movie was, it's a bad drama, it wouldn't make a good Sci-Fi movie because of poor Spercial effects, the story is even more ridiculous than in Armaggedon. Don't waste your money, Armageddon is much better.
