Summary: THANK YOU!
Review: Wow. I just wanted to thank everyone who has taken the time to voice their opinions about a movie that was never given much of a chance to find its audience when it was first released. Even after nearly five years, it's gratifying to see that the hard work that so many people put into the making of this movie didn't go unnoticed. Tab Murphy - Writer/Director "Last of the Dogmen"

Summary: Outstanding! :-)
Review: This movie I have seen dozens of times on HBO ! I try to catch it everytime it is offered. My boys and wife also enjoy this movie! It has classic love-hate relationships in it!, near tragic beauty in the scenery - hahaha with that working of it how could it miss~ as for the voice over oh well you deal with it - the rest of the movie more than makes up for it!

Summary: A very nice surprise.
Review: Boy, did this movie sneak up on me. I saw the trailers and thought it might be interesting, but I certainly wasn't prepared for how good it really was (sorry Mr. Maltin, you really missed it on this one). In many ways, it reminded me of "Dances With Wolves", although it's certainly not on its level or scale. However, it doesn't need to be. It's an original and fascinating look at the possibility of a long lost Indian tribe hidden away from the modern world. Barbara Hershy has always been one of my favorite actresses, and Tom Berenger is solid as the hard-drinking cowboy figure. The two play very well together, and as stated in the other reviews, that was one heck of a dog! Between 1 and 10, "Last of the Dogmen" gets a solid 8. This is a film that the whole family can enjoy.

Summary: Beutifuly scenery, touching story, enjoyed it immensly!
Review: What a wonderful way to spend a rainy, windy day in Seattle. Watched it all by myself can't wait for my husband to see it. Tom and Barbara were wonderful but the best of the bunch was the dog. He was beautiful. Any way to find out his breed?

Summary: This old-fashioned romance-mystery is haunting and beautiful
Review: Berenger and Hershey give splendid performances in this odd and lovely little tale that strikes me as a kind of OF LOST HORIZONS meets DANCES WITH WOLVES. While the premise is rather far-fetched, I found it possible to suspend disbelief in the cause of the ideal: an authentic and spiritually infused alternative to the McWorld tragedy of Euro-American culture. The film has essentially the same message as James Hilton's novel, which I suspect was at least partially the inspiration for it.
