Summary: Innovative, Original, Action-packed!! Keanu at his best!!!!!
Review: I thought the special effects of this movie was outstanding. The story was well-written, mindblowing, and very original. It got me to thinking that if we were really in a "Matrix" for real, "Would I want to be unplugged"?. I think this movie is definitely one of Keanu's best movies, and it will probably go down as one of the best movies of all time. I really loved the fight scenes because Trinity and Neo both rock the screen. I have never saw anything like "The Matrix", and I doubt if I ever will again.

Summary: Top of the line Sci-fi flick.
Review: I thought the story was a bit confusing at first. Knowing the diffrence between what was supposed to be reality and what was dreamlike. After a while you catch on. Some of the characters were vague. The three main characters got the most attention (Reeves, Fishburn, and the darkheaded girl). The fighting scenes were adreneline pumped. Although if you are into martial arts I think that you'll find that some of the moves weren't powerfull enough to do what they did. Some moves looked too slow or clumsy. The special effects were the best I've seen yet. This is a definite buy.

Review: I thought this film was just plain silly. I couldn't take it seriously. And that ridiculous shiny black leather thing they had going ruined it for me. I hated the lead female character. Some of her moves were the most embarrassingly ridiculous in the whole film, like that stupid praying mantis slow-mo kung fu move at the beginning, and the equally stupid slow-mo sideways wall running scene near the end. Reeves acting was wooden as always, he obviously only gets parts due to his looks and athletic physique, and I've never been crazy about Fishburne. As far as I'm concerned Fishburne's most convincing part was as a NY mugger in Death Wish. But Agent Smith was great, and the guy who played the 'betrayer', i think he was called Cypher, he was great as well. Special effects were good, and the music was good. In short, entertaining but silly. Oh yeah, one last thing, I was glad when that albino blondie chick in the shiny WHITE leather gear got killed.

Review: I thought this movie is a visual feast I'll never forget. The action, the plot, and the dream-like quality really blew me away. The visual effects were excellent, and the imagination also ran free about living in a world that is not what you thought.

Review: I thought this movie was amazing. It's lack of dialogue made the graphics and storyline even more interesting. I personally loved it and saw it 5 times in the theaters. WOW!! That was an awesome movie.

Summary: It wasn't as I good As I had hoped!
Review: I thought this movie would be alot better! Especially after readin all the reviews!! Acting wise, strong acting, I can give it that! Plot wise, it was terrible! This movie wasn't that great, even though it was better than some movies that I've seen, it beat my expectations, cause I don't expect anything from a movie, so my expectations are set very low, 1 star! The Matrix was better then one star! The special effects were good, but that doesn't make the movie, when will people learn that? That's all I have to say!

Summary: Great story, fine acting, excellent cinematography.
Review: I thought this was an excellent movie for pure entertainment reasons. If you are looking for an epic story with great dialog and social drama, this isn't the one. But for great science fiction escapism, The Matrix can't be beat. I have a feeling some of the reviewers of this movie giving low ratings didn't quite grasp the concept of the storyline. I'm truly looking forward to more from the Wachowski brothers.

Review: I thought this was an excellent movie. The story was unique and not overplayed like most movies today. The action sequences and special effects are unbelievable! I highly recommend this movie, there is not a single person I know that didn't love it. The only way you could give this movie a bad review is if you didn't understand it (or your one of them). Can't wait until the next one...

Summary: Typically outstanding 5.1 Dolby Digital.....Picture POOR!
Review: I too was anxious to get this DVD release. Very good story line with outstanding visual effects, so I pre-ordered and waited with much anticipation. From the very beginning, I was stunned at the poor quality transfer to DVD. Grainy darks, and washed out colors left me feeling cheated. The Dolby Digital 5.1 was exceptional and is of reference quality. Oh well, it's still a good buy....Bring on "The Mummy"... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
