Review: THIS IS JUST THE BEST ALL AROUND FUNNY MOVIE YOU COULD SEE. IT IS SO BAD IT IS FUNNY, BUT IT ACTUALLY ISN'T ALL HORRIBLE. JUST THE ENTIRE WAY THE MOVIE IS MADE, ALL STEROTYPICAL BAD GUY V.S. GOOD GUY AND KIDNAPPING THE WOULD BE GIRLFRIEND OF THE HERO. IT IS HILARIOUS.

Review: Long before Jackie Chan brought his comedic marshal arts films to this country, Taimak leads a cast of largely no-names in one of the funniest and fun martial-arts films done in the US. I liked this film so much I saw it two days in a row. When this film came out the only two names were John Amos and Vanity, but you will notice William H Macy in it as well. The music is great, the martial arts are great, and it is really funny. It is also a great tribute to Bruce Lee.

Review: I love "The Last Dragon" it's one of my favorite 80's movies. This movie rules it has great music and some cool fight scenes With a Bruce lee type still. It's so entertaining and fun for any Age. I enjoy this movie from start to finish I think it's a great tribute to Bruce lee.

Summary: I wanted more, but at least it's on DVD
Review: Before I was old enough to buy things on my own, I wanted to own the Last Dragon. This is easily one of my favorite 80's movies growing up. Who can forget the hair, the music, the crazy plot and the killer fight scenes. Waiting for this one to be released on any format seemed like an eternity. The VHS version was released for a short period over a decade ago, but was then quickly a discontinued item. Well after countless years of waiting, fans can rejoice, we can all finally enjoy, probably the best version ever, a DVD version of "The Last Dragon." Although Columbia didn't go all out with this DVD, just the fact they decided to put in on DVD is good enough reason to get a 4 star rating. The movie, simply put, is cool. It has a great 80's soundtrack and is still one of the funnest, and silliest movies ever made. I was diappointed to see that the DVD did not offer the Dolby Digial 5.1 format, but the Dolby Surround 2.0 does the job nicely. The picture quality is as good as I have ever seen this movie look since I saw it in the theater in 1985, but you can notice it looks a bit aged and perhaps a little more remastering from Columbia would have made it look like new. The DVD lacks all the extras. Although the director commentary was nice, it would have been nice to see some bio's. And where in the heck is the theatrical trailer? But as a whole, fans won't hesitate, and probably already have it on the shelf. Knowing Columbia and how they have treated this movie for 15 years, it will probably only be out for a short period. So you better get your copy now while you can. If you've never seen the movie and just want to enjoy a silly, but fun movie, The Last Dragon is a good DVD to add to your collection.trailer.

Summary: Last Dragon Pure Bliss!!!
Review: Wow...what more can I say about this film! As a youngster I grew up watching this film. And it just gets better every time I see it. In a way this is a tribute to the great Bruce Lee. Taimak a very inspired martial artist, is reaching the end of his training. He is sent on a journey to find the master who will guide him to the final level. The final level in kung-fu which is referred to having your whole body glow. While Taimak (Leroy) is on his journey he encounters many obstacles along the way. Sho'nuff who wants to take over Harlem, feels Leroy is the key to being the supreme Shogun of Harlem. Leroy refuses to fight, and is constantly chases by Sho'nuff, and his gang. Vanity (Laura) is being pursued by a crazy record producer Eddie Arkadian. Unfortunately Arkadian's attempts to get Laura has been foiled by Leroy. Outraged by this Arkadian devises a plan to get Leroy out of the way. This is a great film. Great music, it just brings me back to the old days. Taimak is the real thing when it comes to the martial arts, and it shows in the film. All in all Leroy finally realizes that he is the true master, thus reaching the final level and obtaining the "glow". Great action sequences, with a cool ending. I'm very happy that Tri-Star/Columbia finally realeased this on DVD. Although the DVD version lacks any great feautures, it's a MUST HAVE for DVD. And a very special thank you to Mr. Steven Kent. If it wasn't for him and his great artical, this would not be possible for a DVD version. I hope they release a special anniversary edition of the Last Dragon. Perhaps that might have more special feautures. I give this 5 stars, for originality, and theme! My ALL-TIME FAVORITE MOVIE!!!

Summary: I got the glow!
Review: Finally, I have been waiting on this DVD since I got my first dvd player three years ago. I love this movie and I don't care what anyone has to say. This movie combines martial arts, comedy and music to tell a story that could only happen in the BIG APPLE. Bruce LeRoy facing off against Sho Nuff to see who is the master. The 1985 movie has a good final sequence and all though a little corny at times that is part of its appeal. If I had ten thumbs I would give it ten thumbs up, but I only have two. "When I say who's the master, you say...Sho Nuff!"

Summary: FINALLY!
Review: I bought this movie for more in VHS format! All my friends think I'm crazy for ranking this as my favorite movie, but who cares. I was impressed with how clear the movie was. I watched the movie as a kid at the theaters, watched on it VHS and HBO (they use to always show it), now I have it in my DVD collection...I was looking all over for it. The only thing I wished this DVD had was more features to come along with it. If you want to impress your friends when they come over, pop this DVD in and they'll be awed. "Who's the master?...SHO'NUFF!"

Summary: It's about time!!!
Review: I was wondering why this movie was taken out of print for so long. I was also wondering if it would ever come back, as I continually watched the copy that I recorded from HBO(THANK GOD FOR DIRECT TV AND A SUPER-VHS). Well I am thrilled that they put this urban classic on a format that could capture all its glory that I remembered seeing when I saw it at the movies for the first time. In my opinion this is a classic and should be shared with all. The only complaint that I have is the lack of additional content on the DVD version. THIS WILL BE THE SECOND MOST WATCHED DVD IN MY COLLECTION - NEXT TO FRIDAY!

Review: I have been searching for this movie for years and am happy to finally see it released to DVD. I have great memories of this movie I would put it up there with Bruce Lee hits such as Chinese Connection and Enter the Dragon. It just makes since to have "The Last Dragon" in that collection!

Summary: WHO'S THE MASTA?!
Review: SHO'NUFF! THE SHOGUN......OF HARLEM! This has got to be one of the funniest and cheesiest Kung Fu movies I have ever seen. However, don't let that disuade you from looking into this title. I gaurantee you'll have a blast watching it! Martial Arts student Leroy Green is on a quest to obtain an elusive power known as 'The Glow'. However, in his search to find the one Kung Fu Master who can teach him this final level of Kung Fu greatness, Leroy must contend with the evil, powerful Shogun of Harlem, known as Sho'Nuff!! Aside from that, Leroy must also rescue a beautiful singer from the clutches of an obsessed record producer, who dreams of his no-talent wife having the spotlight! Now, Leroy has two foes to contend with, as well as strive to obtain The Glow! It sounds cheesy...but don't let that fool you. This movie, quite surprisingly, is a ton of fun to watch! The action is actually pretty good, with some surprisingly decent special effects toward the end. Julius J. Carry III is hilarious as Sho'nuff, the meanest, the prettiest, baddest mo'fo in all of Harlem! And there is no denying it...when 'The Glow' song begins to play later on in the movie, you will find yourself wanting to do karate kicks right out of your seat! My only gripe: For a DVD, the picture quality could've been ALOT better. The sound is restored very nicely, but the picture suffers from dark overtone, making scenes that take place in dark areas very difficult to see. Other than that, the disc has two sides, one of which is Widescreen, the other Standard. There are a few extras, such as the theatrical trailer, and very small theatrical bios of Taimak(the main character) and Vanity. With a great soundtrack..., featuring music from the early 80's (such as Stevie Wonder and DeBarge) and the original track 'The Glow', crazy hijinks, great fighting sequences and decent special effects, any kung-fu fighting fan should enjoy this movie. Whether its the fighting, the comedy, or just the Shogun of Harlem, Sho'nuff himself, you should have a BLAST watching this movie. Definitely watch with a group of friends! 'Bow down...and kiss my Converse!' Notice: At one point in the movie, we see a very brief and early performance by one of today's more popular actors, William H. Macy!
