Summary: Great movie Great movie Great movie Great movie.
Review: This is the type movie you wish hollywood was still making. It has it all. The characters are outstanding. The realism is unequaled. The back and forth battle between the two main characters is dynamite. The car chase is equal to or better than Bullitt. One of the all time best action movies I've seen.

Summary: Excellent Flick
Review: I love this movie and it's excellent Wang Chung soundtrack. Great movie. I am bummed that it's not currently available as i came here to buy it today. I have rented it a bunch of times and want to save some money.

Summary: AN INTELLIGENT, SUSPENSEFULL ACTION/THRILLER!
Review: I liked this movie because these three elements;the city, the characters and the story, were used effectively. L.A. itself is a character in the movie, setting the mood for the scenes;the sunset, the palm trees...Wang Chung's music is perfect.Willhem Dafoe,s performance is great, as the bad guy who intelligently has been eluding the feds for a while. Dafoe is what makes the movie work,it's because of his character's genius, quick mind, distrust and coolness that we keep watching to see what's going to happen next.Instead of trying to impress us with hi-tech gadgets or ridiculous stunts, the director makes us part of the story by allowing us to experience the main characters motivations. We see the what goes on in the life of both the good guy and the bad guy. This movie has twists, action, the already famous car chase, and the main thing, it does not insult our intelligence, using old cliches. It is a fun movie. The dialog is great, it goes straight to the point and every scene is important to the plot. The ending is ingenuosly handeled, in a way that is consistent with the story's realism. In my opinion To live and die in L.A. is the best movie of it's kind so far.

Summary: Along with French Connection's and Bullit's Car Chases!!
Review: A pure cult classic......I have not seen this movie since the late 80's on a bad copy, from when I taped it on HBO....Point?? well, I was not keen on seeing it in the movie, how I wish I did. Great art feel, great soundtrack, and of course, the most vivid and exciting car chase to memory....No awards here, but then? what do awrds mean anyhow...should be re-released

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Intense Action Drama
Review: Interesting homosexual sub-text between Dafoe and Peterson. Friedken's best since The Exorcist, although no where near that benchmark.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You gotta see this movie!
Review: The car chase ALONE is worth the price of admission! Fantastic. Bill Petersen's best flick.....by far.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: OUTSTANDING!!!
Review: This movie from the start to finish is a work of Masterpiece movie making!! Everything flows, from the Wang Chung Soundtrack to the car chase scene and the cynical ending!! A must see!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Highly underrecognized
Review: This is an all-time great movie, with a kicking sound track and an amazing chase scene. The movie ends on a cynical and cyclical note that provides a great "sting" for a movie that is tight all the way through. If you liked "Tequila Sunrise", you'll love this. I'd love to see this re-released on DVD.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Non-stop action with great soundtrack.
Review: This film, although not well known, is a powerful story of a Secret Service agent out for revenge. It has plenty of action, a great car chase scene, and unexpected turns. The soundtrack by Wang Chun is awesome and worthy of purchase on its own. I highly recommend this film to action/adventure fans who crave something different.
