Summary: Pure Action...Shaken, Not Stirred
Review: I am a major Bond fan, so with that in mind let me just say...this is one of the best Bond films yet! Now, it is no Goldfinger, or GoldrenEye...but it is a great film. I enjoyed it very much. No, I will admite the film has two disadvantages; #1 the Madonna song is one of the worst title songs yet, it makes no sense. #2 the special effects aren't that great, like when Bond skie surfs this giant wave on the hood of a snowmobile, it was pretty [unreal] looking. But, the story was good, Brosnan was, I fell, born to play James Bond, and I loved, loved, loved the car chase/fight between Bond and Zao! And the Sword fight between Bond and Gustov Graves was the best fight scene since GoldenEye! And the Aston Martin V Vanquish, oh it is a beautiful car. And Miranda Frost, WOW, she is the hottest Bond girl ever, there are a poster of her they used to promote the film, man I want it, Halle Berry is OK, but Miranda Frost is HOOOTTT!!!
Now, it seems that Die Another Day didn't score well with the other people who rated this movie, but let me remind them of something, this is the 20th Bond film, it must be hard for them to be constantly coming up with something new, while competing against 19 other Bond films! Brosnan is and will continue to be a great James Bond, and Die Another Day is a great movie. Please, don't take my word, or the word of the other people who rated the film, see it for yourself, and you make the call!

Summary: another great one
Review: I have seen all Bond flicks and own them all on DVD as well. I am only 26 but this to me is a great Bond movie. It does what every other Bond before it has brought to the table, action, hot females, expensive cars, tons of gadgets, an evil bad guy trying to take over the world, and lots of explosions. If you see this movie excpecvting to see anything more or les then boo on you. It keeps the Bond series alive with all the trademarks of the past films

Summary: These reviewers must have high standards!
Review: Bond is, and always has been about enteretainment. And on that value it succeeds where other fail. Yes there a re plot flaws. And it's also thrue there are some unbelieveable things.

Bond is like one of those things that people want to stay still- reatining it's essence of the Connery era, yet must move forward before people say it's dated. This may not be Goldeneye, but it's the best since.

Basically it's like a vodka martini (shaken not stirred of course) it has several good ingredients, all mixed in an effort to get the perfect blend. And it does have a good contentment factor about the film.

The above voters seem to know nothing about wehy Bond films are made in the way they are. They also seem adamant to put down the film before trying to just simply ENJOY it. Which is easy to do.

They say half the world want to be him, anad the other half want to Bed him. And on the basis of this, it's easy to see why. Bond has enetered the new millenium and whilst some people may not completely 'buy' the plot, the action alone deserves this DVD to be bought. The extra's are by now becomming bog standard, but have value for all those wanting to savour Bodn until the next one.

BOND WILL "Die Another Day" but it won't be for while yet. And we love it... so will you... if you actually have a sense of humour and aren't really really boring.

Summary: Some of the best Bond yet!
Review: Some people thought that there was too much fantasy on this Bond adventure, but that is what made this film work. Even though Bronsnan is 50 he still looks good and makes a great Bond. The beginning scenes with Bond captured and tortured are really different from the standard Bond films and give the character a mean edge. Although some of the gadgets are outlandish (like the invisible car) they all work and are great fun to watch. The action sequences are absolutely top notch, more Brosnan please!

Summary: triple zero seven
Review: this has to be the absolute worst bond movie ever. whatever happened to the decent stunts that so characterized vintage bond? the only remarkable thing i experienced about this movie was that i actually sat through it in the hope that anything would improve. when something as institutional as a bond movie descends this completely into bland product advertising with absolutely nothing else in the bag of tricks, there is no deeper hole to drop any further....what the heck was all that hype about? the script was ok (can it be anything else in a bond flick?)but every single other thing sucked the big zero. i'm only watching the next bond movie if it takes its cue from 'for your eyes only'. wake up, guys, be inspired.

Summary: Definitely not for Bond fans
Review: This is definitely not a Bond movie. It completely lost the charm and elegance that used to caracterise the earlier movies.
All in all, it just feels like an expensive Hollywood movie made to entertain you for an hour and then forget about it. So keep in mind that this movie cannot even be remotely associated any other James Bond's. It's stands on it's own and must be kept on the shelf between Rambo and Batman. If you can abstract from the fact that this was suppose to be a James Bond movie, then you might have a good time and not feel cheated and resentful of who made it.

Summary: Brosnan will never die!
Review: As we all know, bond films are more than just films; they represent something very British - perhaps as much associated with Britain as the Royal Family, James Bond is as much a 'larger than life character' as you will ever find. Many critics ague that this explains much of the last few bond films successes amongst Britains- you go simply because it is British and you should. There can be no doubt that better films exist than Bond films, however does this mean that they are bad? If you watch a bond film expecting to be dazzled by flawless acting throughout the cast for example, you can instead expect to be rather disappointed, however I think that most people go expecting something different from a Bond film. They want to see which priceless car Bond will wreck, to hear the trademark Bond-phrases that make everybody groan and to see which beautiful location Bond will visit and leave inevitably having blown much of it to pieces.
Die another Day is no exception, it manages to deliver all of what you expect from a Bond film, and maybe a little bit more. Settings include Cuba, Korea & the Arctic and they all look spectacular, with lengthy action sequences in each with a estimated value of bond-caused damage up in the billions of pounds. The plot was, as in most recent Bond films, completely unintelligible, involving some sort of satellite capable of mass destruction being controlled by the a crazy man who undergoes extensive gene therapy. It is a good thing nobody watches Bond for the plot. The acting was on the whole, to be commended. Dame Judy Dench did her usual 'underused-but-brilliant' role as the only person who Bond cannot charm, my only complaint though would be Halle Berry. Oscar winner & brilliant actress Berry was criminally underused and moulded into the usual bimbo who needs only around 5 seconds in the presence of Bond to become infatuated in him. You could see her nearly choking on some of the terrible lines she had to repeat which are showpieced in the trailor. Again though, what could she expect from a role as a bond girl? She was there to be a pretty face in a long line of pretty faces that started with Ursula Andress.
This brings me full-circle, Die Another Day cannot be looked at in the same way as most other films because it is a Bond film and we should have different expectations from the film as a result. Do not get me wrong, I do not think that just by having the support of a history of Bond films behind you it is any excuse for making poor films, I am simply saying that films like this are aiming more at giving a specific audience more of the same than producing something that will go down in cinema history as being a truly great film. Would you, for example, go and see Police Academy 7 expecting great acting? Doubtful. More likely you would watch it to see which weapon the overzealous cop Tackleberry would get his hands on or what noise Michael Winslow would be able to make.
I do recommend this film though, simply because it is entertaining, and at the end of the day that is arguably all that counts, just don't go expecting too much.

Summary: How did they mess this up?
Review: Easy. The wrong director. Take a look at his track record and ask yourself why the producers (years of experience and unlimited possibilites) asked him to do it. The CGI is awful; the gadgets are dumb and the music is atrocious. I'm a Bond fan from the sixties. Every book, every video, every DVD and every toy. Sorry Pierce but it's not your fault. I'm sure you'll be back for 21 and it'll be outstanding.

PS. Halle Berry's Jinx? Bloody right she's a jinx! Don't let her back into the series.

Summary: BOND IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!
Review: Bond lives to die another day in this action packed film. This film contains great action sequences and is totally cool. Two hours of fun, adventure, and cool 007 fighting scenes. I've seen this movie twice and I would definitely see it again if I had the chance to do so. I love the moves James Bond does in this film, especially in the beginning of the film.I can't wait until this film is released on DVD!

Summary: disappointing, that's the only word for it
Review: This movie's plot seems like it was conceived by the creators of the Bond video games Agent Under Fire and Nightfire. Too many gadgets, too much action, too many explosions, not enough bond. As for Pierce Brosnan, he's a good Bond placed in a bad movie. Not his fault.
