Summary: SPECULATIVE FANTASY?
Review: It never ceases to amaze me that some people actually beleve "TOP GUN" has a basis in reality. Because it doesn't. "STAR TREK" rings truer than "TOP GUN". Go back to High School young men, and maybe someday maybe you'll get a drivers licencse. If you think you can race your Kawasaki against a jet aircraft down the runway on a military installation without getting shot...then maybe its too late for you already. Get real! Get your G.E.D.

Summary: A new classic
Review: This movie is very impressive. Although not the best movie of all time, (which is an individual's personal opinion anyway) it is well worth adding to your collection. The aspect ratio is a less-standard 16:9 and is noticibly different from the expected 2.35:1. However, this movie has a score and action to put you in the world of Goose and Maverick.

Summary: Greatest movie of all time!!!
Review: One of my favorite movies of all time. However, I wish Paramount was more specific about its widescreen aspect ratio on the VHS version. Its aspect ratio looked like 2.10:1 instead of its correct 2.35:1 ratio. Also, in the widescreen edition, notice that Ice's dog tag is cut in half during the volleyball game scene while it's whole during the pan & scan version.

Review: It's hard to believe that anyone considers this the best movie ever made. It has action, but so do many other much better movies. It's mostly just nonsense about some cocky guys who can't sing--literally couldn't carry a tune in a bucket--and a somewhat silly love affair. I'm all for romance, but puh-leeease!
