Summary: I Love this movie!
Review: I first saw Willow when I was about eight years old in the theater. It's now eleven years later and it still remains my favorite movie. Someone please tell George Lucas to re-release it. The only copy I have is a worn out VHS tape that I copied off of the TV. This movie is funny and exciting while remaining decent enough to show to my little cousins who love it as well. I hope that the powers that be realize what a treasure they have in that movie.

Summary: Wish it was on DVD
Review: I was hoping to find this movie on DVD. My wife hasn't seen it yet, but know she would love it. How can they not re-release it? Val Kilmer is a mega-star, now! He wasn't when this film was made. . . I have probably seen this video 20 times on video and I never got bored of it. I was hoping to buy this one for Christmas, maybe next year. :(

Summary: Make it into DVD with cut scenes added
Review: I could have sworn that I seen two scenes when I was young that haven't been on any version I have seen since. Looking around, I found the original script had the very scenes I thought I had seen once. I hope to see the whole version again sometime. One was of Willow meeting a boy in the lake (as he was looking for Fin-Rasel(sp?) who turned into a monster. Another scene was in the maze of rocks near the end as he heads towards Bavmorta's Castle he has to use the wand to burn down a wall of thorns. Anybody else who have seen the scenes please give me an e-mail and tell me I'm not crazy and I accually saw these. So far everything I've found so far says they don't exsist except in the script.

P.S. No Magic/Swordsman movie exists that tops this story. If you haven't seen it, go rent/buy now.

Summary: Best movie ever made
Review: I own the VHS version of this movie, but I would still like to get my hands on the DVD version (if it existed). You'd think they'd be willing to make quite a few extra bucks by releasing it again. I have never seen this movie in letterbox format, and am sure it's an even better experiance that way. This moview should be released in theathres again as well!

Summary: Simply Beautiful
Review: I, too, am dying for the release of this exquisite film on DVD. I sincerely hope that Lucasfilm will consider giving WILLOW the deluxe treatment, with supplemental materials fans would certainly appreciate. I know there are a handful of deleted scenes, and much of James Horner's amazing music has never been released. Many people haven't seen the film in it's scope aspect ratio since theatres, either. All home video versions thus far have been "pan and scanned", showing only half the total screen image. Here's hoping this truly magnificent movie will some day receive loving treatment for home viewers.

Summary: Call Me A Willow Groupie
Review: What can I say--I am as enamored of this film today as I was in the 80's. I know it was sort of a bomb at the Box Office but it outshines most of the 90's blockbusters in appeal and wonder. I shall forever be a fan of Warwick Davis--how difficult that must have been to carry an entire film upon his small shoulders but he succeeds with amazing aplomb. What else impresses me about this film? The locations and cinematography, the Nelwyn Village and Nockmaar castle. I think the story is sort of a myth mishmash, but the idea of the sour rivalry between Fin Raziel and Bavmorda is well done. Indeed, the final battle between the two sorceresses is the best effects and tension-filled scene in the whole flick. Jean Marsh played a most memorable and genuinely frightening Bavmorda and Patricia Hayes is great as raziel. Kilmer is perfect as Madmartigan and so is Whalley as Sorsha. A wondrous, special film. It DOES deserve to be released on DVD, and given Lucas's incredible clout, money, and the fact that this film is actually much better than his new Star Wars piece of crap, he should get Willow rereleased.

Summary: The most amazing movie
Review: Willow is without a doubt, one of the best movies I have ever seen, but I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when it ended. I wanted more, so when my husband brought me home a book claiming it was the sequel of Willow, I was thrilled. He was right!!!! It had all my favorite characters and more, and I was especially thrilled to learn that it followed the princess to adulthood. If you are a die-hard Willow fan, and you still want more after the movie, I recommend the following trilogy:Author: George Lucas Chris ClaremontBook !: Shadow MoonBook 2: Shadow DawnBook 3: Shadow StarShadow Star is not released yet so don't read the books too fast like I did, I'm still waiting. Happy reading from a die-hard fan!!!!!!

Summary: The Supreme Fantasy Movie
Review: Lately, I've been thinking about some of my favorite movies I saw as a child. And one I would love to see and own would be Willow. I think it is pretty lame that it is not available, because it would bring in excellent profit. The reason being, it is the best fantasy movie to date. Whoever needs to be urged to do this, myself and the rest of the world urge you. THANX!
