Review: The first time I saw this wonderful movie I was on pins and needles till the Day Dream sailed out of the last frame. The best word I can think of to describe the whole film is charming. Lord Percy Blakeny stole my heart, (along with Margurites) and the show! His ability to transform his features before your very eyes is astounding as well as enthrawling. I would definately put this movie in my top five, possibly my top three. Get it! Watch it! Again and again and again! You'll never regret it!

Review: Anthony Andrews was a breath of fresh air after that effiminate simpering fool of a Leslie Howard. and Jane Seymour looks a delight after that ugly devil Merle Oberon!Although they could have spoken more about their love to each instead of informing all Paris and London. I simply adored it and only wish I possessed the original!Anthony Andrews is immensely talented.Some of his set downs are masterly...What is it you Frenchies say?Touche you see I`m a bit of a poet and you did not know it what...A must see for everyone!

Review: This movie is my absolute FAVOURITE!The acting is superb especially that of Anthony Andrews as Sir Percy.He has acted so brilliantly that I am amazed whenever people say Leslie Howard acted better. Jane seymour played up excellently.A timeless classic which you can watch again and again.I know it by heart and am forever quoting it.I had to practically force my friends to watch it and they all thanked me at the end of it!!!! It follows the book closely while the music,costumes sets and acting is just dazzling!What more do you want?If I had my way I`d give it a 100000000 star rating!

Review: Yes, there is absolutely no question that this is a hit! When our good friends first introduced us to it we were hooked. Our lives will never be the same without the smirk giving, poem making, snuff loving Scarlet Pimpernel. Right away one falls in love with the easy English fop as he surprises both the characters and the audiences with his clever disguises, and intuitive plans of nobly saving lives from the cruel blade of the guillotine. Jane Seymour's charm and beauty are a perfect match Blakeney and the two are swept off their feet, sweeping us along with them. The scenery and music are delightful. ... Please... Where can I get the sound track?????

Review: I first saw this movie on PBS a few years ago, I couldn't remember the title, but I knew it was my all-time favorite movie. When I found it on video, I was hooked, completely, I have seen it so many times, that I can repeat it word-for-word. The story is timeless, and the acting is superb, I agree with the other reviewer who said it would be great on the big-screen. With Anthony Andrews in the title role, and Jane Seymour at her best, you cannot miss. This captivating tale of Sir Percy Blakeney(Andrews),a man who rescues innocents from the French Revolution's guillotine, and his exploits, intrigues, and romance with Marguerite(Seymour), is great for the entire family. It has (and will) remain my favorite movie. A definite Must-See! I only have one question... where can you get the soundtrack???? I have looked everywhere!!!! The music is fabulous!!

Review: I first watched this movie 15 years ago, and it remains one of my favorites of all time. In my mission to "indoctrinate" others I have shown this movie to many different groups of people and have found that it is a sure hit in almost any group. It has something for everyone: humor, adventure, romance, suspense. The dialogue is witty and memorable, and Anthony Andrews is superb (and very winning) as Sir Percival Blakeney. This is one that can be enjoyed over and over (and over, and over . . .)

Review: If there is one movie I can say I fell in love with the first time I saw it...I would have to say it is The Scarlet Pimpernel! If you think 16 year old males only like killing and violence, well your wrong when it comes to this movie. My entire world history class fell in love with this movie, but I loved it the most. I love Sir Percey's smooth, calm, and cool composure. And I think this should go back to the big screen like Star Wars, because it is such a great movie. It I could rate it more than five stars I would, and believe me, I wouldn't give it a 7 (try 1000000000!)
