Summary: Braveheart is an interesting film
Review: Braveheart is one of the best films that I have ever seen. I like the story because it is true and interesting. It's very interesting to see how the people fought and lived in that time. There are also beautiful pictures from the nature in Scotland. In this film you learn something about the history of Scotland. It's good that the film has no happy end, because in the real life it gives not always a happy end. In the battle and in the end of the film there are very terrible situations, which I think is the negative point of this film.

Summary: On the whole the film is worth seeing
Review: This film is very impressive. But sometimes it's too hard. Is it really important to show every little thing in a battle? Sure, sometimes it is necessary, but if you cut away the battles, there won't be so much left. The story shows us, that we need freedom. I am glad that I have never had to fight for it like them. And of course we should be more grateful that there is no angry king who likes to introduce the 'rule of first night'. On the whole this film is advisable to watch.

Summary: interesting, lovely, bloody but nothing new
Review: The movie about the independence of Scotland is a bloody love-story not very believable. Perhaps the story is real - original, but the transfer to this movie is questionable and dubious. Not much action, and if, very bloody. Was the objective to make a comedy or was it, to make a more or less truthful documentary film? If it's the first, I can really recommend 'from dusk till dawn' - excellent. If you don't look at William, the characters are average. Remember Robert the Bruce with his 'I don't know' look, Isabella, the nice girl havin' really good ideas or Edward - did he ever see a drama school from inside? Perhaps Longshanks had a character part too but as well he could only look angry or sscream. The friends of William? All are looking very evil - but else? Pure from the technical point of view, this movie is very poor. The movements of the camera weren't special, the lightnings FX were unattractive and the studio-backgrounds (or was it really the nature) was thin. Have you ever been to Scotland? Don't you remember the lush, green hills? Where are they gone? Lost in the Hollywood studios? It's just another opinion! Greetings from Basel.

Summary: Braveheart is a good film
Review: The story could be like it happened in aged time. It shows you the problems which they had in Scotland and England in the past; the Scots would be free, but the English would rule about the Scots. The story is written in an exciting way. There are some terrible battles and I think, it is very real. In the background of this film there is a historical accent. I recommend you to see this film, but not to be scared if somebody falls out of the window or the roof. You miss something if you do not watch this film.

Summary: Why do the Scots need this self-realization?
Review: Braveheart isn't the worst attempt I've seen or heard of to increase the self-confidence of a nation (in this particular case the Scots). But for any objective observer it is untrustworthy that a handful of faulty armed and hungry rebels can bring that much problems to England with its huge, well armed army. Apart from this, the film shows, that one brave man can keep a whole nation fighting for its rights, even if they are outnumbered. The fact, that money and estate can make humans blind for any moral duty, can set someone thoughtful. Concluding I would say Braveheart is worth seeing, also because of some beautiful shots of the wonderful Scottish countryside.

Summary: This movie rules
Review: I love this movie. The battle scenes are AWESOME. I like the plot as well. It gives a historical look at old violence. this is such a great movie. Even though it's two tapes, it doesn't seem long at all. Even though I don't Mel Gibson in his other movies, he kind of bugs me, he was great in Braveheart. This is a must see non-simple minded movie with great action.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever!!
Review: Of course I may be a bit bias because I like so-called "war" movies, but "Braveheart" is really great. The war scenes are incredible. I can't stop at jsut watching "Braveheart" only once...or twice. I've seen it about 8 times already. It is just too good of a movie. Parts of this also made me cry, so it isn't all blood and guts. But, in any case, you have got to give "Braveheart" a try. Mel Gibson is much better here than in any of the "Lethal Weapon" series.
