Summary: Great! But what about the people reviewing it?
Review: I thought this movie to be one of the greatest epic, historic (loosely speaking), and inspiring movies made as of late. What I don't understand is how people on this message board can knock the film for its 10-15 minutes of sexual activity that only serve to highlight the passionate nature of the Highlander when half of the 2-cartridge film is chock full of gore and blood-shed. What is worse to show your children: the gruesome massacre of medieval men or the tender lovemaking of two people in love? I think America doesn't have its priorities straight.

Summary: Braveheart - Why it is tied for being the Best Movie of All
Review: Braveheart was the only one till I saw Saving Private Ryan. Now it is tied. What a great movie. The fact the this happened to a man is unbelievable. I fell in love with this movie along with the woman I watched it with. This will reign as one the the best moves of all time, up there with the likes of Casablanca, Lawerance of Arabia, Saving Private Ryan, and The Ten Commandments. Mel Gibson was spectacular. I would HIGHLY recommend this movie.

Review: Braveheart. This is a movie I first came to see in the cinemas, and have since seen on video numerous times. It's a surperbly made film with hero Mel Gibson and gorgeous co-star Sophie Marceau. This is a movie you will fall in love and I guarantee you will want to see it time and time again. HEy, it may not follow exactly how it happened, but it sure makes you want to seek the true story of William Wallace, and it sure is a great promo for Scotland and its rich cultural history! Freee-dom! My fav quote(s) : "I wanna believe!" "It's my Ire-land!" :)

Review: Robert the Bruce, Stephen, Hamish, and that little guy who says, "William Wallace is seven feet tall!" turn this already wonderful movie into a guy fest. We once watched watched this movie 8 times in one week. The Scottish Pride is totally moving, and the absolutely wonderful soundtrack emphasizes it perfectly. All the hype about how violent the movie is should not deter a squeemish viewer (just so long as the remote is kept handy). If only this movie brought with it a kilt-wearing fad. Woof! Woof!

Review: This is one of the greatest films ever made, period

Summary: Why?
Review: It is a fact that there are scenes of sex in this movie. They shouldn't have had them, and I fast-forward them when they appear. But the fact remains that they did all of it in a spiritual way. (Unlike the hop in the back of the car scene in Titanic). There were some dramatized fact to make the film more appealing...but not the fighting. The real life William Wallace sliced the skin from his victims and created a knife sheath. I love this film, and am now presently watching it! He just got through riding with Murron. I believe now the United States has forgotten the cost it has taken for Freedom. They need more William Wallace's. If we had more patriots, then we wouldn't need a law. (Thank you Gibson!) I have always been proud to remain an Irish-scot. Nothing could make my mind change! (Answer me this...didn't you want to destroy the little snitch that tried to get Murron?) I wanted to bad. It stirs the emotions. Other times, the chills are racing up your spine. Summary: Scotland forever!
Review: In my opinion, Braveheart is, quite simply said, the best movie ever. I will never forget this beautiful story of passion and patriotism, love and loyalty, and willingness to sacrifice everything for a worthy cause. I admire Sir William Wallace very much, and am continually inspired by his courage. Yes, this movie does stretch the true story in many ways, but I guess that is what you call "poetic license". The movie is very well acted and the dialogue is beautiful. My favorite scenes are the romantic scene between Wallace and Murron (when he speaks in Latin), and Wallace's inspiring speech at Stirling, "Sons of Scotland!" The music is so beautiful and very inspiring; listening to it is almost like watching the movie again. Yes, this movie is very violent, and there are several objectionable scenes--the fast forward button can come in handy. But for mature audiences, the wonderful themes of the movie easily overshadow all objections. This is a wonderful movie. After watching it I became enamored with all things of Scotland. (For example, I picked bouquets of thistles all summer and even tried to press one--it didn't work, unfortunately.) This movie makes me proud to be 1/8 Scottish, and in my heart I am a full-blooded Scot!

Review: Our family really loved this movie. Like a previous reviewer said, it has more of a plot than Titanic, where a depressed girl gets seduced by a guy, has sex, and says that he saved her in all ways possible (except her soul, right? I wonder where he went when he died???) Some love scenes were a bit objectionable, but overall it was a first rate film.
