Summary: WTC included?!?!
Review: I hope that the trailer and scene with the World Trade Center are included on the features of this DVD.

I felt the movie was really good except for the obvious post 9-11 ending of the New Yorkers getting involved.

Summary: Spiderman vs. The Green Goblin
Review: Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is the ultimate geek harassed by school bullies even the bus driver takes a few shots. He's in love with the girl next-door Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) but has no chance with her until a genetically engineered spider bites him during a field trip to a science institute and he becomes Spiderman.

A nemesis quickly rears his head as the father, Mr. Osborn (Willem Defoe), of his best friend takes an experimental potion and dons an exoskeleton, meant to enhance the performance of human soldiers, to eliminate his business enemies and get exactly what he wants.

Tobey Maguire is excellent as Spiderman; but Willem Defoe steals the show in his portrayal of the Green Goblin. He makes an intoxicating villain and is deserving of an academy award! Cliff Robertson who portrays Parker's uncle is still sexy after all these years!

Spiderman is an engaging action adventure with awesome visual effects by John Dykstra (Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica), combine this with the passionate love story between Parker and Mary Jane and Spiderman is a perfect date movie.

Summary: Tobey Maguire Best Superhero since Michale Keaton
Review: Tobey Maguire gives an excellent performance as the soft spoken Peter Parker. He was made for the part. Tobey was not particually big or buff, perfect for the Spider Man role. He also doubled as the lonely almost dorky Peter. Dunst gives a great performance. Willem Dafoe was a great villian except the plastic costume didn't really work. So, if you want pure but kickin' excitement see Spider Man!!

Summary: Spidey comes to life!
Review: The classic comic book character finally comes to life in this intense action movie starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, aka Spider Man. After the tremendous film 'X-Men,' this movie had a tough act to follow, but it did it quite well. This is good old fashioned comic book fun!

Most everyone knows the story of Spider-man--little, wimpy kid gets bit by spider and suddenly gets all kinds of cool powers. This film tells the story of Spider-man, from the moment he gets bit to the time he establishes himself as the newest addition to the superhero world.

This would have been a tough movie to make. Maybe that's why they waited until they could do most of it by computer animation--the stunts would just be too complicated otherwise. Even though parts of the film do look a little fake, hey, it's a comic book character. What do you expect?

Overall, Spider-Man is good, quality comic book entertainment! If you liked the movie 'X-Men,' this is right up your alley! This is definitely one you'll want to see, and, if you're into these kinds of movies, would make an excellent addition to your DVD collection.

Summary: Spider-Man is the Greatest!
Review: Spider-Man is the best movie I've seen in a long time. The actors were great. Tobey Maguire portrayed Peter Parker to the max. And to think he didn't even read a Spidey comic until he got the role. The effects were awesome. Some of the web-swinging scences we see are not really Tobey they are computer animated. And it's really hard to tell. I think this movie had great action and had a little romance, which is good.

Summary: Spiderman is great.
Review: Ok, I'm a really big Superman fan first of all. But, I am also a really big "superhero" fan. I loooooved this movie. I wasn't sure how Tobey Maguire was going to fill the role, after all, I always saw him as a little kid. Well!! Little kid is all grown up in this flick, and all I can say is "Woohoo!! Those tights are FANTASTIC!" LOL I recommend this movie to anyone, it's great for the whole family. Don't miss it!!

Summary: Spider-Man is the MAN
Review: Spider-Man ranks up there with X-Men, Blade 2, Batman, and Batman forever as one of the Greatest Comic Book Movies of all time. Maguire is perfectly cast as the legendary webslinger, and suprisingly, so is Kirsten Dunst as Mary-Jane. Willem Dafoe makes a great villain performance as Spidey Villain Classic: The Green Goblin. Effects are good. Action is Spectacular. And Spider-Man is amazing.

Summary: Best Movie of 2002
Review: This movie with all of it's hype still met the unbelievable expectiations. What a smart and action packed movie. The movie goes into great detail about the how's and why's of spiderman without letting it slow the story down. The action scenes were seemless between computer animation and real footage. Add in a love story and a story about a boy just trying to fit in. Near Perfection. Plus with all of the bonus material available on this DVD how could one pass it up. This movie is also suitable for most children, there are very few curse words if any and some mild violence, which could make it too rough for very you children. This is a wonderful movie that I must recomend.
