Summary: Spidey-rific
Review: This was a pretty good movie. I never really got into the comic book scene and I wasn't interested at all in seeing Spiderman. I'm pretty happy that I did see it though. The movie was great. The acting and storyline were especially good. This movie is full of suspense, action and even a bit of romance. Even if you're not a Spiderman fan, I'm sure you like this movie.

Summary: Super Movie
Review: Spider Man is a great movie because it tells that he can jump from a tower to another and showes you how strong his web is.And it also showes you that he do not stop when the green goblin attacks him.

Summary: Amazingly poor
Review: I can't get over how bad this movie is, and I know this is the last time I give one of these re-hashed Marvel guys a break.

One more long, significant pause as Toby wetly contemplates his boring new powers. Another cringing romantic moment. Yet another wet look from Toby. Wow! Really awful animation!

I think it would help if you were seriously drunk, since the action won't look so terrible, and you'll simply sleep through the rest. I, however, was almost sober.

Summary: Move over Batman Spider Man is on the big screen
Review: This was a great movie as you probaly know. The story follows Peter Parker through his life as a genetic wonder. He made a couple stupid moves but he turned out a super hero. The only problem is the Green Goblin's suit was dumb and Peter shouldn't have turned Mary Jane down. The end fight was pretty cool to. I give this one 5 stars because this was a great movie. You will like it a lot.

Summary: An Awesome Movie
Review: This Movie is Nothing Less than Awesome. The Acting was Perfect, The effects were very well done. This is Vast Improvement over X-Men. The Costumes Were Very Cool. I Believe That Everyone Who Is A Fan of The Comic Book Should See This Movie. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, And The Rest of The Cast Do Outstanding Jobs. Willem Dafoe Is The Greatest Villian I've Ever Seen! The Way He Cackles as The Goblin and The Way His Eyes Look Inside The Goblin Mask Will Give you The Creeps. I Personally Recommend The DVD You Can Learn Everything About The Comic Book and The Movie It's The Best.

Review: Not worth the time it takes to view it. Boring, long, dull, and the acting was poor as well. Don't bother.

Summary: Peter-Parker.
Review: Die-hard fans of Spider-Man, kids, and -- oh, all right -- "kids of all ages" (what an insulting phrase!), will love *Spider-Man*, and who am I to rain on their parade? I recommend this film to all of the above-mentioned. Enjoy. OK -- now, as for the rest of us, we will find much less to enjoy here. First of all, there was the overkill of the promotion and hype to hold against the movie. It made the promotion of *Attack of the Clones* seem measured and restrained by comparison. Second, the CGI employed by director Sam Raimi is, shall we say, UNCONVINCING. I don't think it's contradictory to expect several degrees of unreality in a script about a comic-book hero, while at the same time insisting that the visuals look realistic. Spidey swinging on his web between the NYC monoliths looks about as real as the graphics from a Nintendo 64 game. It's sad that kids not only seem to NOT mind this, but indeed, seem to LIKE it. The irony of all this CGI coming from a director who literally smashed his camera through windows in *Evil Dead* all those years ago will not be lost on those of us old enough to remember. (Ah, *Evil Dead*. The Good Old Days. The Analog Days.) Setting aside the movie's obvious faults, it's fair to point out that they -- the faults -- don't prevent Tobey Maguire from attaining his usual excellence. As Mike in his review below pointed out, we surprisingly find ourselves caught up in Peter Parker's -- as opposed to Spider-Man's -- story, because Maguire is so adept at portraying the insecurities and teeming interiority of the typical American adolescent. But even here, the positive carries a negative charge: Maguire's careful construction of Peter Parker alienates the character's arachnoid alter-ego. I wasn't convinced for a second that the troubled but decent teenager and the superhero were the same person. They're separate entities. Maguire did his job too well . . . and perhaps that's a lesson in irony for those actors who try to bring integrity into one of these humongous summertime popcorn flicks: Don't work hard, because you'll only get in the way.

Summary: Spidey returns with skill
Review: This movie was a great flick for fans of Spider-man. The cast of characters was great and I think they made great choices for the stars. The plot was exellent and the action scenes were unbelievable! This is a awesome film for anyone who loves superheros, action movies, or is just a fan of great films. I look forward to the next movie in the series!

Summary: Ho hum
Review: Clark runs to the rescue and opens his shirt to show his "S" uniform. Superman introduces himself to the public by doing several super hero activities. Lois Lane falls form a building and is saved by Superman. Perry White berrates Clark Kent and the staff. Luthor and the super-villains from Krypton - General Zod, Urza, et.al attack the Daily Planet offices. People gather infront of City Hall before the Jokers attacks. Lots of big ballon- figures fly in the air and thereafter the Joker attacks. The Joker laughs horrifically and has a split personality. Yep the same scenes are present in Sam Raimi's film, except that the character is Spider-man. Is it any wonder that I feel like I've seen this film before. Hey Stan (Lee), this is definitely a brand echh movie. It seems like Irv Forbush directed this one. I hope the sequel is all Marvel.
