Summary: A Blast from the Past
Review: This movie came out in the early 1980's. It's a comedy remake of the Pirate's of Penzance. Swash Buckling Adventure broken up by 80's style rock remakes of classic Pirate of Penzance songs and a few new ones. The story begins in *Modern 80's* time and quickly turns into a Pirate Adventure dream sequence. There is a conflicting love interest between the Major General's youngest daughter Mabel, the the Pirate king's adopted son Frederic and a treasure that stands between them all.

To quote another famous movie "Does it got any sports in it?"
"Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, True Love, miracles...."

It's a Fun watch for the family. And a real blast from the past for anyone who watched it back in the 1980's.

Summary: Give Me A Happy Ending
Review: This movie I saw in the theaters when I was about 11 years old. I remember that I fell in love with it right form the start. It is a satire to the The Pirates of Penzance. So therefore it would be all campy and stupid. However, It is a movie that you either like it or hate it. It can grow on you like Xanadu. I read on digitalbits.com that it will be coming out on DVD in 2005. It will have a new transfer, enhanced for 16x9 T.V.s,new digital soundtrack, and extras to boot!!! I found a used copy that I paid 10.00 for in a used video store. I remember that I never wanted to watch it that much because the movie went out of print a few years ago, and I did not want to wear it down. I will most definitely wait for the DVD and get that when it come out. I will always be a die hard Pirate Movie Fan.

Summary: Once a childhood favorite
Review: When I was growing up, my best friend and I rented this movie just about every weekend. It was our absolute favorite. I never thought I would find a copy of it now that I am an adult and am so happy that I did. I've looked all over just to rent it so my husband could see it and even my kids in hopes that they too would love it like I did. I can't wait to see it again and hopefully soon own it on DVD.
