Rating: Summary: Great product - beginner or pro Review: I am a Web Programmer and I use HomeSite every day. The programs' format makes it so easy to use. From the color coded tags to the wizards for just about anything. It even links to Dreamweaver for optional WYSIWYG editing and design. Even as a professional I find that the wizards ,especially the tables and frames, are invaluable. By using the wizard to layout the tables, particularly a fairly complicated layout, I save time and money. Several of the features like auto complete are great for beginners. And when you outgrow some of the help features like auto complete and tag insight, you can go to settings and turn them off. I especially like the validation and document weight feature. This allows me to check where I might of made a mistake in nesting tags etc. and I can check how long it will take for a page to load so that I don't create pages that take forever to load. I highly recommend this for any one wanting to code in HTML

Rating: Summary: The standard tool for HTML/web scripting Review: I have been a Homesite user since is was still a shareware application in the mid-late 1990's, and I have continued to be a daily user as it has matured. All of my knowledge of HTML was facilitated by using Homesite, rather than a visual ("What You See Is What You *might* Get") editor. While the latter class of applications have admittedly improved over the years, namely Front Page, I still prefer and extoll the virtues of using HomeSite to everyone from folks new to HTML or programming to those migrating from the Mac's BBEdit or Windows Notepad. HomeSite was written from the ground up with web developer's needs in mind, and users will discover it provides everything they need -- including the best in-application HTML specification reference -- within reach. The application is flexible, allowing you to use it comfortably as a "newbie" and yet find it powerful and non-hindering once you get your "web feet" as a savvy developer. In addition, there's an excellent user community surrounding Homesite and related products, so you're never too far from a helping hand if you need one.
Rating: Summary: Excellent webpage builder for beginer thru advanced Review: I started with Homesite as a novice and have learned as I built. Their product keeps getting better. I can build the web page, upload it to my website and make changes to it all from the same page. Verify links, html code for errors and check the time it takes a viewer to load a page at different connection speeds all from the same program. There are tools I have not used yet but I am still learning and Homesite is a program you can grow with.
