Rating: Summary: Nice discs, awkward boxes Review: I've read some reviews on these discs. They serve their purpose. The colors are cool, but need individual boxes. That way, they'll be more compact. I've seen my discs fall out of the flimsy dust free case.So far there are no problems with the discs themselves. It's great that you can record about 1000X on them. At least if one breaks, it doesn't cost a lot to replace them. They're less than...each. Actually, my discs say there's 75 minutes of recording time. Well, I can't say much more. If you like Memorex products, get these cool little discs. Did my review help you?
Rating: Summary: flimsy doors Review: For cheap discs, these do the job, but don't count on them to last. Under heavy-use (everyday in & out), the metal doors get loose and bend outwards. I've actually had quite a few come that way...just loose. I now have gone through all of the discs, removed the doors, bent them into a tighter shape, replaced them and they work much better. As for the actual media, they give quite a few TOC errors and have more bad sections than desired...not too hot. I wish amazon carried Lumina, Victor, or Sony ES...those are great.
Rating: Summary: Work Great Review: They are cheapest I've seen, yet they work just as good as a MiniDisc can. Get them here because they are a great deal.
Rating: Summary: pretty good Review: I bought these MDs based more on price than on brand loyalty or preceived quality (ok, totally based on price). I haven't had any recording problems with them at all. The cases they come in hold 6, but are loaded with 5 to begin with. The case is very convenient in that I can slip it into my backpack and know that I'm not crushing my MDs with all the books in there. The only complaint I have on the construction of the MDs. The metal discs rattle inside their plastic shells. I'm not sure if that signifies anything with MDs, but when my computer discs rattle like these do, I toss them before they try to fall apart in my hard drive.
Rating: Summary: Mini Disc is the way to go... Review: I have recently switched over to mini disc from CD and let me just say there is not a better thing to do on the planet. The capabilities are endless, and the quality OUTSTANDING. I have used ONLY Memorex mini's and they are awesome. I have transfered almost 200 cds. No more dust skips or scratched songs. Dont be fooled, the chances for skipping and malfunctioning are far greater than most people think.
Rating: Summary: BEWARE quality of these are LOW Review: Have used a variety of minidisc's including Maxell's, other Memorex's (approximately 20 MD-80's), and have never had the problems that I have with these. Sound will momentarily drop out then return, will rewind, doesn't happen. Seems to occur randomly. Have tried to eliminate other variables including recording the same CD on another brand/model MD, and let me tell you it's these. As someone who uses cheap CD-R's when recording music, I never put much faith in reports of media quality, but I got to say this time it is real. For background: I use a Sony MZ-R70. And yes I jog with it, which if where most of the above is coming from, though not exclusively. Again: These are the only MD's I've ever had problems with. Price seemed so great, but now...
Rating: Summary: Nice work! Review: I bought a 20-pack of these minidiscs to go with my Sharp MD-MS722, and have not been disappointed with their performance--they sound great. The transparent jewel colours are helpful for keeping your music genres separate, and both skinny and wide labels are included, so you can list tracks if you want, or just the name of your mix, on the edge. The clear cases are also just fine for carrying the discs--looks like I can take my time buying a minidisc wallet. Sweet.
Rating: Summary: Digital Quality for the Aiwa systems Review: This brand of MD's works well with the CD to MD mode of AIWA's portable systems. No loss of digital quality sounds. Worth the purchase price by far.
Rating: Summary: Stay away from these!! Review: Well, I needed some minidiscs just so I could record a bunch of CD's and take them up to work, which is where I mainly use my portable player. I haven't recorded on them all yet, but so far 6 of them are messed up--either they appear to record correctly and then can't be played, or they won't even start recording. They seem like a good value, but if you take out the 6 that have failed (so far) I'm paying the same amount for these as other discs, and these don't come without cases. I give them 1 star because zero stars isn't an option!
Rating: Summary: BEST QUALITY, BEST PRICE! Review: I bought these mini discs about a month ago and there awesome. Some other reviewers said that these discs skip, but they must be smoken something because these have never ever skipped. I think they don't know how to record anything. The Price on these is the best around, cause they don't come with any cases. Thats good beacause cases are needless to say worthless. they are indestructable, unles you chuck them across the room. Anyways, if your thinkin about buying mini discs, i would buy these!
