Review: If you use DSL or cable to access the internet this program is an inexpensive tool that allows you to optimize your connection. For DSL users the distance between your connection and the central office where your connection terminates has a lot to do with performance. Using the optimization features of this program will ensure that your communication settings are the best possible for peak performance. However, this program is more valuable to cable modem users because optimizing for DSL is a one time activity, while cable performance is dependent upon the nukber of subscribers on your cable segment. Although you may experience fast performance when you first start using cable access, it will probably continue to degrade as more users sign up for the serivce. By using this program periodically you can fine tune your performance as the overall performance degrades as users are added.
