Summary: Where's the beef?!
Review: After reading all the above reviews. I had to put my 2 cents worth in. I have used versions 4 & 5 annnnd, I like it! It's a very fast way to deploy a site.
Dreamweaver is very very good but is for more advanced users. NoF is a great way to introduce someone to site building. I really enjoy using it. Some Easy Advice: Go slow at first, read the tutorial and build a business site per the instructions. Two days you will be up and running, and in two months you'll have it down. Happy web spinning! :>)

Summary: Fusion 5.0 - more like ConFusion 5.0
Review: If you have an earlier version of Fusion, stick with it. If you are looking for a new tool to build your website with, stay away from Fusion all together.

Summary: NetObjects 5.0, buggy at first...
Review: NetObjects is a very good software package that is extremey user freindly and at the same time offers a truckload of features. You can make everything at the click of a button. I don't think you will find an easier program to make a comprehensive website out there.

But out-of-the box its very buggy. the HTML doesn't work in Netscape and other pains but the good news is that NetObjects has fixed this all! Version 5.02a is now availible, its stable, HTML is fixed ans its faster. There really isn't anything to complain about anymore. Just download the upgrade and install the free upgrade from NetObjects.com before you start building your site.

This program is so easy I did'nt even look at the manual or help function once... It is just so straigt forward. Usually programs that are easy don't offer the control, but in this area this program also exels, you have complete control over the HTML code, if you want to... So when you finally learn more about HTML this program is still very usable.

Summary: Frontpage who? Fusion takes the lead.
Review: Our company, Pacific WebTech, manages a large amount of customers web sites. We find it easy to import and manage web sites, do modifications and updates with no problems. It handles as many tasks as Frontpage 2000 if not better! Best of all you don't need a server with Frontpage 2000 extensions to make sure your web sites work. Perfect for the novice because of the drag and drop interface, but even better for the advanced user because of raw HTML manipulation. Get it, got it? Good.

Summary: No! Bad Bad
Review: Software tools are supposed to make things easier, right? If you agree, than stay away from Fusion 5.0. My husband and I bought Fusion 5.0, installed it, worked with it for 2 very frustrating weeks, than uninstalled it.

Summary: Fusion 5.0 "beta"?
Review: To be perfectly honest, I love Fusion but REALLY dislike version 5.0 at this point. It is beyond me why this product was released as it contains a number of bugs. As a previous version 4.01 user I was quickly impressed by the ease of use and ability to manage a large scale web site.

One of my major complaints with version 5.0 is it's inability to publish to my NT server. I have to do a local publish on my hard drive and then use an FTP program to transfer all updated pages and files. This is a MAJOR pain in the...you know what for a large site. NetObjects changed FTP clients between version 4.01 and 5.0 and as a result I can't seem to use it to publish directly to my web server. (It does seem to work on Unix Apache servers however)

There are a number of bugs in the new version, and in my opinion this product should not have been shipped yet. I know have a $100 upgrade that I don't even bother to use. Stick with 4.01... at least until NO issues a patched version.

Review: To be perfectly honest, I love Fusion but REALLY dislike version 5.0 at this point. I have been using version 4.01 for quite a while now and I've been very happy with it's capabilities. With that said, it is beyond me why version 5.0 was released. The new version contains a number of bugs (well documented within the Fusion newsgroups).

If you want Fusion, go with 4.01 -at least until a patched version of 5.0 is available.
